I liked the idea of the game, turning off the lights and running to bed.
Performance: on my PC it ran smoothly above 60 FPS, but just looking at the game's visuals you can see that it could be more optimized.
If I hadn't read the game's description I would have no idea that I would move with the arrow keys (I know this is a bug).
This game was so fun and scary and had really great gameplay.
So in general, it was a nice game to play; well done.
Thanks for your comment. We're glad you enjoyed the experience :)
Thank you so much for your comment. Like many others, you experienced some issues with the directional keys. In fact, the game was made with an AZERTY keyboard, so the direction works with ZQSD keys. And of course, out of habit, i completely forgot that the AZERTY keyboard is only used in French-speaking countries XD, so my apologies for the mistake. I'm glad you still enjoyedthe game, though. Thanks again.
This was super difficult, but in a fun way. Also, it both scared me and made me laugh. Nice job!
Thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked the game and found it scary and funny. The idea started from a meme, so we wanted to take a funny concept and turn it into something both scary and fun.
Really nice game! Love the voices and music, I like the environnemental madness too! I will love to see some safe zones to activate or more lights in some places. Good job!
Thanks for your comment. We had thought about creating safe rooms and doing more with the lights turning on and off, but we ultimately chose the simplest option due to time constraints. Maybe on a next update ? :)
I really like this one, it’s like a roguelite horror with a arcade gameplay, super cool idea and with a simple execution, the only bad thing about it was the controls, since jumping over object give you some advantage over the crazy speed of the monster but QWERTY keyboard players like me can’t jump pressing spacebar easily…
other than that solid game concept, I could play this for hours if done properly with more unlockable items and some procedural generation maps, you know, some variations
It really sucks that I made this mistake with the keyboard mapping. Sorry you weren’t able to take better advantage of the controls, we’ve prepared a post-jam update in which we’re fixing that!
We were thinking of procedural generation, which would occur at the start of a game, and remain the same map throughout the same game to preserve that “learn your environment” feel.
Thanks so much for playing and for your comment!
I love how this was inspired by a meme!
The sound and the voice acting was phenomenal. The lighting in some parts made it impossible to see where I was going is my only negative feedback. Overall, it was fun and enjoyable. Great job :]
Thanks for your comment! We need to work on the lights to prevent the player from getting lost. :(
I don't usually like the “being chased” games, but this one was a lot of fun. An extra challenge with the whole AZERTY situation, but it was great! Congrats.
Thanks for your comment. We're glad you like the game. And well done on getting through the AZERTY challenge! XD
i saw that the game was made with an azerty keyboard so i don't want to harp on it. i ended up having to use the arrow keys combined with the mouse but since all you do is run it wasn't really that bad. the other thing is that i really couldn't make out the obstacles since i couldn't see anything. it still seems exciting and the music was cool!
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, we had some issues with the lighting in the build and didn't have time to fix them. We'll consider it for an update after the jam's end.
Music was a 10 for me, the atmosphere was really great, a really good anda scary game
Thanks you for playing! Did you manage to reach the bedroom?
Great job! Visuals were great and sound design was on point! I liked that you could hear the monster breathing behind you all the time, so had no need to stop running. Got me pretty good on the first time :')
Thanks a lot for your comment. We're glad you like the experience :)
I really enjoyed it! The graphics and music fit the atmosphere well, and I appreciated the humor in the main character’s voice acting and the touch of meme-inspired gameplay. It was great to see perks like the blood trail, though I was less sure about the sprint and jump mechanics as late-game bonuses. The gameplay could benefit from adjustments, like fixing minor texture issues, more visual clarity in dark areas, and possibly making light sources impact the monster’s behavior. Overall, I loved progressing and learning from each attempt, and the stat screen at the end was a fun touch. Thanks for the game!
Thank you for all your suggestions, and glad you like the game. And i'm pleased you mentioned the voice actress, we'll let her know that her work was appreciated.
W doesn't work but the arrow keys do fine so used those. Unfortunately my potato PC didn't run it very well, but the chase sequence is really nicely done and very spooky to hear it slowly approach you as you run. The sounds are excellent!
Thank you for playing. Unfortunatly the game can be a bit demanding and we didn't take the time to make quality options. For the keys problem, it is because the game was made with "AZERTY" keyboard, i didn't notice that when we made the build. You can easily switch your keyboard language, though. We'll change it to QWERTY in a next update.
the bug someone else is having i also am, Z goes forward and Q goes left.
The arrow keys work fine though! This was insanely hard hahah the first time gave me a serious spook but i like the premise for the game and the level design was very thought out and pretty! good job!
Thank you for playing^^ And yes the game was made with AZERTY keyboard, that's why you had this problem. You can easily switch your keyboard language on a Windows OS, but i think we will just make the game "QWERTY control" with an update lol
never even heard of azerty! Hahaha thats crazy, great job!
-Demonic creature visibly peaking through the door;
-It wouldn't be smart not to turn the light off! Right ?
Oh...
Hehe, lovely little game! It looks great too!
Glad you like it :)
When I found myself in the kitchen, my first thought was that I was playing Phasmophobia, visually it's very similar! But I didn't understand why I couldn't walk forward (only backwards and to the side). I don't want to make spoilers, but those who played will understand that in this game there are moments after which I need to wash my pants! I liked the game, although I was very scared))
Thanks for playing! It’s a shame I haven’t taken the time to play Phasmophobia yet, but seeing some screenshots I understand!
On the other hand, it’s very strange that you can’t move forward. Sorry you experienced this bug (and for your pants!).
I imagine that because of this, you were never able to unlock items or reach your room?
I can still feel my heart racing, fantastic game!😁
That’s what we wanted! 😁 Have you managed to retrieve/use items and find your bed or do you find the chaser too fast?
It took a few attempts but I got it eventually, it might be a little too fast but only a tiny bit in my opinion😄
Congratulations for the bed! Thanks for your feedback, it’s my bad with the monster speed. For the next update, I will adjust that for less frustration!
A lot of "GG" for your win^^
Great work!
Thank you so much^^
Wow, honestly It scared me the first time xD
After I tried to complete the game but it seems I'm too bad :<
Well done !
Thanks a lot^^ The game is pretty difficult without any "helps" but you can find items in your runs that will become available for your next ones. It can help you finally find your bed before get caught :)
That was a terrifying and intense time. It is also relatable. Good Job!
Thank you so much @AniUDuck, you described exactly how we wanted you to expérience it.
