The idea is solid, I really like how you need to use the reflection of the TV to avoid the enemies. However it was very difficult to navigate. I struggled with the controls since the player's movement is only limited to the space in front of the TV. I think maybe instead of reflection you could do a top down view of the room and allow the player full movement in the room. But that would almost be another game. Anyhow, great job!

Thank you for the feedback! While deviating from the game jam theme could greatly expand and enhance gameplay considering the concept, we stick to the position that disregarding the theme takes away all the fun!

ah I meant displaying a top down view in the tv screen, its maybe something that you guys can alternate between channels to see the reflection or top down view.

Wiiiild idea that I can see the monsters in the reflection! Love it from both a horror and technical standpoint. One of my favorite and most creative ideas (imo) to come out of this game jam. Really well done! The reflection is also very well executed and the animations on the monsters adds to the horror.

Excellent potential as a little indie horror game. With some more story and game mechanics being polished, this could be a real gem! Very memorable game!

Developer

Hi! Thank you, it's really nice that you appreciated the idea and the implementation! Given the tight deadlines (and we joined the jam not at the beginning), not all ideas were implemented, so I'm glad the game is receiving such positive feedback

Really nice concept. I loved the game.Gave it a five star rating would be great if you did the same :)

Developer

Thank you! I will definitely play your game today

Really cool concept! My first run I had no idea what to look out for until I was dead lol but that's such a neat idea, I enjoyed it very much!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!

Cool idea! Something I'd like to see in an adventure or something with a story or more of a level, but it's a fine showing for the game jam. I tried a couple of times and I think I got to almost 20 points or so before it became impossible to proceed.

I liked the warping on the reflection too, like I wanted to be on one side far from where one of them was approaching and it got harder to parse where they were.

Developer

Thank you! Overall, I don't think it's possible to build an entire game around this mechanic, but it can definitely exist as part of some other full-fledged game

I really like the implementation of the TV and the way it displays your environment. Having the limited movement space was very effective to help feel confined, but also felt very 'game-y' knowing there's an invisible wall there to stop you. I wasn't too good at it overall but it had a great atmosphere and interesting mechanics. Nice work.

Developer

Thank you very much, I'm glad you appreciated the atmosphere!

Very cool and unique take on the theme! I would love to see this fleshed out. I struggled a bit with the range and direction of the flashlight at first, but once I figured it out the game really clicked. I did find that I often ended up relying on the footstep sounds more than the screen at certain points, though. Regardless, this is a neat and enjoyable experience. Great work!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Despite the desire to stick to the theme, we still added other ways to detect enemies to make the experience more comprehensive

What a great concept! I like how you kept the player in a very confined space, it helped add  tension and stress. Flashing a zombie and seeing that it was right next to me was real scary. Great job!

Developer

Thank you, it's nice to know that we still managed to scare you ^^

I really like the concept of the game! It was a little hard to aim at the zombies, I felt like I had to be very accurate or very close to them, but solid work all over!

Developer

Thank you! We didn't have enough time to properly balance the gameplay, and I'm glad you were able to appreciate the game overall!

Very creative idea for the theme, and has a decent foundation for a gameplay loop! Good work!

Developer

Thank you for the evaluation! Implementing the idea was harder than generating it

The sound design was good! I definitely felt like I was in a fleshed out world. The zombies were a little hard to wrap my head around, but once I figured out how to beat them i enjoyed the game. good job!

Cool gameplay idea, and it was very scary the first time I died lol!

It's cool that we were able to scare you! Thank you!

This has a very interesting mechanic to it. I just wish there was a bit more to it like a time goal to reach or different types of enemies. Very cool concept.

Developer

Thank you! In essence, we made this game in just 2-3 days, so you can consider it as a prototype, nothing more
