Pretty game. Quite unique how the movement is done too.

Though I wonder, what's the point of combos if the combo counter doesn't reset when you're waiting years before the next hit?

Another thing is how trivial fighting actually is... Like there's no point in engaging with most enemies, when I think you're supposed to... There's no incentive to fight, just rising up with an uppercut and then literally gliding with rapid side elbows.

Otherwise, pretty cutesy game. I've featured it in my showcase video:

The joke is funny even if it were told a million times xD.

The game was quite easy once you dominated air hits, loved the final boss, it was amazing to see Mei has another rival xD.

Love the cutscenes and the drawn artwork! Cool concept

The game is really cute. It's clearly a bit broken, but it's broken in the player's favour and I still had fun playing it.

I like the idea of using only fighting game style combat for movement. the controls could still have room for improvement though. My main comment is that the level design could be made to suite more with the move set. the 1 block height slopes don't work well also you can cheese through most levels by reaching the high point and do some infinite side stepping. (the boss can also be cheesed by standing at the edge of the high ground).

with that said, I really like the art for this game. It is cute. Overall this game had some potential, I would love to see the movement mechanic get expanded.

controls are a bit scuffed and collision is a bit inconsistent but overall its great. only being able to move while attacking is somethin i havent seen before and it works pretty well with meiling's simple moveset.

also animations are great and the opening/ending is perfecto

Nice work!

Although I can't speak English, I can still understand the story. The control of this game is very difficult, especially when Meiling uses " shouryuukenn" to move herself. But this setting is very funny, it is enough for me.

Adorable and fun for sure. Love that Meiling artwork

The idea isn't bad at all, but the excution gameplay wise is quite rough. You can quite literally speed run the entire level. Now while that's fun, because it feels like you're kinda literally doing a speed run glitch session, it' s definitely not intended at all. And this is combined with the issue of the enemies. You're trying to encourage melee with the combos, but you literally get hit as you're doing an attack because enemies HAVE NO HITSTUN. Which gives no game feel and allows you to get hit rapidly while doing an attack. And on that note you also have NO INVINCIBLITY when hit.  Or even any indication you're being hit at all. I literally didn't even realize that I was being hit until I died. And with such small health, you're not encouraged to go melee at all

So this encourages just the speed run.

It's bad game design. If you cleaned up the enemies though you could polish this into a reasonable idea, but as of now it's rough. Boss was fun though, even if simple it had some polish compared to the others. It felt like a good fight.
And I do enjoy the mobility alot (hell why not incorporate a more aerial style of combat where you're encouraged to go fast and smash through enemies akin to this style. Might be pretty damn cool.)

Story was fun though, and the art's endearing.

Overall, I hope you patch this game up and take upon it's potential. I'd like to see what this game could be.

This is so cute!! The story is adorable and I thought the boss rabbit fight in particular had a lot of polish.

Wow, I wish I could give higher than a 5/5 for concept. The art and story are cute, and this was really charming overall. The collisions and hit detection admittedly feel pretty weird, but that didn't stop me from completing it.

Hey, that's Mad Rat Dead... Except protagonist is little more OP by not having adhere to rhythm and having ability to just fly with spamming attack :D

Really liked concept and gamehas a lot of content, I think I sometime somehow activated hadouken? I like that moveset is quite complex, like there is difference between forward jump and backward jump, but bunnies attack slow and have hurtbox during whole animation, even when their sword is already at rest position, that moved me to just fly through rest of the levels by spamming :P

very cool game i beat up several bunnies i am satisfied

Loved the game, very funny intro and ending, and it was cool to find there were more moves even though I was button mashing. Art is lovely and music is chill. I cheesed by flying elbow more than I want to admit though lol

It was kind of hard to control, but the art was great and the idea is brilliant.

pretty fun, the concept of a sleeping Meiling attacking randomly to move and fight is hilarious, and the use of the combo theme is for me the best one so far, even if the combat is a bit clunky(with unpredictable enemies and hard-to-grasp inputs), with the right juiciness it could be one hell of a fun game!

Post submission QOL fix

Changed 'press any key to skip' > 'press space to skip'
because people are mashing keys at the end of the stage and end up skipping through menu/cutscene

Original submission still included

The concept of the game made me laugh, and I enjoyed playing it. The levels are pretty challenging for me, because I feel like I’m failing at comboing the attacks well, but then I learned that Meiling can fly by spamming attacks midair… I’m not sure if that’s a bug or not.

The art really helped sell the story, which made me very sad that I accidentally skipped the cutscenes after the boss because I was spamming the attack button. But overall, it's a very charming game and I had a lot of fun with it!
