Hi, I propose this topic to mention the games that stand out among those that we rated. The goal is not to promote your own games but to share  those that really surprised you (in a good way) and are different than the others in some way.

I've rated a bit more than 20 games so far, here are the 2 that stand out for me :

A really fun and original take on the tower defense genre.

Visual effects are incredibles and the movements based on the orbit, even if a bit disorienting at first, make it quite original I think.

How about you ? What are the games you played / rated that stand out from the rest ?

PS : Please don't mention your own game, this is not meant to be a rate sharing topic.

Hey, I found many games that stood out to me personally but if I was to recommend one it would be:

Talekeeper: https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/765002

It is just a unique experience that I have not seen in the games I have played so far so I'd definitely check it out!

Happy jamming!

loved pushy worm! That was adorable

For me, the stand out is Teddy Bear Story. It amazes me that a game that is so short can be so emotionally engrossing: https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/765872

I’m flattered! Thank you for mentioning my game :)))

Legato: A game centered around music where you memorize and play sequences of notes. The music really stands out and it has unique gameplay.

Distress Signal: A fun space shooter with very nice graphics. You also mine asteroids for materials. It was overall a well-executed game.

I liked Legato too!

Oops just realized you also mentioned legato. Well I mentioned it again

I would definitely have to promote one I just played

B.U.D.D.  : Reminiscent of NES era Metroid and Castlevania games with nearly similar levels of polish.  Definitely one to keep an eye out for!

Here’s my favorites so far:

Bach in Time is probably not for everyone, but I thought it was hilarious and has some great original music  :

Rewinder just had a great game hook and WEN though it’s getting some love, just thought it deserved a shout out on this page.

And someone already mentioned Pushy Worm which was an absolute gem.  Going to check out all the ones mentioned here!

https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/768067?before=9#post-2035635  I just played this game and loved it.  its a hardcore platformer. PLAY THE TUTORIAL tho haha.  I tried playing it without the tut and was about to rage quit.

Just found another one I adore! GO is a chill resource-getting game with charm up to wazoo: https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/765230#post-2035659

This is my absolute favourite game from the ones that i played so far: https://havana24.itch.io/hop-hop-miner

Spent hours just playing this :D

I played most of the games you mentionned and wasn't disappointed. I particularly liked Legato.

Here is another particular one : https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/766547

It doesn't have much content but I love the strange / grim atmopshere it has and the whole concept about the body parts collecting and movements is promising I think.

This one has stuck in my mind since playing.

I loved it's simplicity and the music was awesome.

If people are still looking for interesting games to play, I propose https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/766861

It's very simple and fast to get into. Feels like what could be an addictive mobile game :)
