Well done. The graphics are good, the music us nice and the main game loop is excellent balancing between dying for an extra tower but taking up your time and just attacking is engaging. Would like to see this expanded.

I love how the game goes from action to tower defense, and the ghost sound is so cute :> Nice work!!!
I LOVED this game.
This game had such a nice feel to it. the artwork is just amazing and mind blowing and the theme is interpreted so well. In this game failure is progress. I loved the feel of killing the poor little read creatures and the fact I had to plan ahead before doing anything is also amazing. The sound is designed very nicely and I honestly enjoyed every second of this. Plus you guys had the time to make a whole story which is below the game.
The only thing that I want improved is that you should maybe add a cut scene with all the lore and the tutorial, before the game starts. it would be much easier then reading from below the game.
Overall: 10/10
Amazing job to the whole team.
Now, only one question remains, will there be a devlog? 👀
Okay so game started out nicely with bit of confusion like every game, not knowing what ius best stradegy etc, then around round 4 i realized that i want to die a lot to make turrets and stop them getting to even close to crystal. And it was nice realization and it worked. Problemn is it was the same thing i did over and over again and around round 12 it started to get boring. You should have just ended game earlier becouse it gave no difficulty boost(or made different enemies and variety but becouse this is gamejam, shjoretr game wouldve been okay). So yeah great concept but too long and not enough variety. Btw sometimes audio was pretty terrible becouse so many enemies are dying same time. And your pretty good with art also:D
This game is very different from other games and it's one of the best games iv'e played so far in the jam. I love the combination of action and tower defense. The only thing i noticed is that if there are too many enemies on the crystal you actually can't do anything but lose. Or did i miss something?
All in all this is a amazing game, which makes a lot of fun and is very creative. Great work.
Really good game!!! I just like the game sooooo much! Good sound, music, graphics ect. Expand on this, pls I thinkm it could work out!
PS: If you played my game too, that'd be nice!
Great idea! I love the twist with how you play. I found out that with the enemys only being able to be on the path, you can hit them outside of the path with the knight, but it gets super hard quickly so you arnt able to do that mutch.
Nice twist on tower defence, and good take on the theme. Some juicy and information when you are hit or it other will be welcomed (but I think it's just because 72h it's short). I like the visuals and the music. Great game.
Really nice and charming art! the game could use some tutorial as it got a bit confusing since I didn't know if I'm doing damage or taking damage, and I wasn't sure what to do after I died. But all around great job!
I liked this one a lot. One thing I would add is more visual feedback for when the player deals/takes damage. Really fun game though, and I really like the music and visuals.
Nice game! The pixel art was clean and the mechanic of where you went through different stages when you died was a cool way to take the tower defense genre! The animations were so fluid and expressive, great work there!
A few things that could be improved:
- Any tutorial at all would have been good to introduce the player to your game as I was quite confused on what the abilities on each of my forms was when I started
- Layering can be improved, like it looks strange how the knight can walk right over the crystal, makes it feel like the crystal/enemies is flat on the ground
- The enemies sometimes group up into this singularity blob where they instakill you if you get near them. Kinda makes it hard to comeback when enemies are grouped up on your crystal (but somehow I beat the game anyways even though I didn't kill the last wave of enemies)
Overall though great job! Fun game to play with a novel idea
This game was phenomenal! I loved everything about it! The art, music, SFX, and gameplay! The game started off easy, but halfway through I got too overwhelmed xD. Overall this game is fantastic! The only suggestions I have is probably adding a tutorial, as well as maybe adding death animation. Other than that, this game is incredible!
Wonderful Job!
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to leave feedback. Yes, we've been discussing the lack of tutorial and how to best incorporate it under the tight time constraints of a game jam. We think may be have a series of static onboarding screens at the beginning could balance time and some kind of tutorial.
Looks and sounds great, though I would’ve loved to see a form of onboarding with the game, either as a set of images on the main menu or a tutorial level. It didn’t exactly occur to me that I had to read what was below the game (i.e., the website) to understand the gist of the game.
Thank you for your feedback, and you for your idea to use static images for a tutorial. We think balancing that having some kind of slider like you would see in a mobile app onboarding experience could strike a balance between time efficiency and actually having some kind of tutorial. You got us thinking. Thank you :)
This game is awesome! I love the idea of a tower defense and top down shooter game! and it is just polished so well! Awesome job!
