Well this was a pretty pog game! I really like the visuals, and the music is nice too. I like the idea of getting more ammo from dying, but on my first playthrough it felt a little unfair how I ran out of ammo with one heart left, even though I killed like a dozen enemies since my last death. Maybe the spawn rates for the hearts could be adjusted, there could be some sort of meter that gives you a heart when filled, or something else.
Also, who is this "downloading..." person and why do they have the top five spots on the leaderboard?
Thanks for playing the game! Sadly, the leaderboard doesn’t work in WebGL, and it shouldn’t because the leaderboard website doesn’t have an SSL certificate. That is why the top 5 places are stuck at downloading. The leaderboard works fine on standalone builds though.
Nice and fun game!
So cool you were able to put a multiplayer in in a game jam, although I could not test it since there was no opponent to join me.
This game is POG!
This is the first working multiplayer game I've seen here, this is amazing!
Also the visuals are super polished and the gameplay is very well thought through, great job!
A decently fun game but I dislike the controls. Especially as the enemies seemed to spawn mostly on 1 side, which meant that I was pretty much always in the other corner.
Also, don't have your scores hosted on a site that uses http when the main game is on a site using https. Because browsers block the loading of http content in this case (so, no highscores...)
Very pog indeed. Good colors, music & simple artstyle.
A simple but fun game!
Very fun game!
I saw you in the wowie discord. really impressed that you managed to implement multiplayer in a game jam!
The game feels good to play, though I'd like to see it get harder over time. It gets pretty boring after a while. Ended up with 1K score and then I left.
Nice and nervous game plenty of particles. Well done.
pog pog poooog. The mechanics were nice, although the knockback means you end up spending most of your time in the least exciting place (the corner of the screen). Maybe the screen could wrap, or something, to keep you always being knocked back and keep things more dynamic? :)
*POG* *POG**POG*
Wait what ^^? nice Game
The knockback movement system feels like it could be fun if the player was a bit bouncy and added some verticality to it. Also the aiming is a bit difficult near screen edges. Difficulty peters out pretty fast (or doesn't increase fast enough) where bullets are easy to keep on hand as long as you take some healable damage, ending up with a reserve large enough that I don't even really need to conserve.
Pog, nice idea. I like the artstyle and the sounddesign.
This whole game is a giant meme!! xD
Gameplay wise there isn't much to do other than shooting and dodging enemies (it's very fun but it gets stale after a while). You should also make clear, for ppl stupid like me, the you can use the POGs to jump because for some reasons i was thinking that it was only horizontal knockback :P
Music is also very POGGERS!! (^u^)
i laughed a lot while playing good job. plz rate mine
Great funny game!
Super creative haha
This game was indeed really really POG! I liked the music you introduced in the menu screen and the in game music too. That was quite creative to have the player shoot out pog words at the enemies as well and I liked your approach on the theme. I did feel it was still a bit easy even though the difficulty was supposed to increase over time, so I guess the pacing of the game needed to be increased a little bit in my opinion. Also, it was kind of hard for me to escape the corners of the game when shooting my pog blasters. Overall though, I give this game a POGsUp.
Also, I don't know how you did it, but I was able to play the WebGL version of the game on mobile perfectly fine! :D
Thanks for the feedback! I see that you have a pretty strong mobile phone then.
