Controls felt good. Nice simple platformer. Good job! :)
well done, the controls feel smooth and the platforming is fun, the graphics could be better
The idea was interesting and the notes on the wall were intriguing. The platforming controls were really nice. I liked the music as well. There are some pretty frustrating moments at times that I think this could do without. It works well enough just with exploratory puzzles.
I really liked the game for it's genuinity. I game some live feedback if you wanna check that out!
Congrats on first game published! Fun little game, that level 4 start was mean :(
overall good game, especially if it is your first. a quick reset button would have been nice because i fell into a hole and couldn't get out so had to shut the program down and reload it. interesting idea with the left is right and doing the opposite of what it tells you to do
I didn't expect this to be so fun! It has simple game play and it is also very creative. Good job on publishing your first game (: I do think level 4 was a bit too hard though so I just skipped it.
Nice job! :D
This was actually kind of fun, there could have been more level variety though. Also I'm not sure if it's a bug but in level zero there is a pit you can't jump out of and in Level 2 you fall to infinity. Had to restart a couple times because of that.
I enjoyed playing your game, the way the cube moved felt spot on and I found myself looking in every nook and cranny to find the hidden paths, Good job :)
Fun game! I liked the background music and the controls felt nice. Also I liked reading the little text blocks they were funny! I don't know for sure about this (maybe you want finding the hidden paths to be trial and error and I don't wanna mess with your design goals/vision), but I thought it would be cool to add some kind of sound effect or something that lets you know when you are close to a hidden no-collision tile. That way the player has an idea of the general area of the hidden path, but not the exact location so they still have to search a bit.
P.S. Fellow Godot user here who also has the default Label text in their Jam game haha.
lol
I played and finished your game, nice work! :) I very much like the controls and movement, although I'm not a platformer-expert it feels really responsive and smooth to me. A trail behind the player was a great nice detail :)
Level design was really cool, there was a challenge, both on the side of finding the way/solution and also the execution, meaning actually performing the planned sequences.
I feel like the game could benefit from having at least a few sound effects, as a response for player actions :)
The two sided history was interesting and fun to follow :D The jam's topic couldn't be feel in gameplay that much, but it is clearly visible in this little-psychotic story ^^ It definitely kept pushing me forward :)
Overall, a simple but very nicely done game, I really enjoyed playing it :) Good job!
Fun platformer, there are some intriguing concepts here. I know you've been saying you wanna show what Godot can do, but in my opinion; Godot, Construct, Unity, etc.. they're all just tools, I think you can accomplish amazing things in any of them. but congratulations on finishing your game, its a nice solid platformer. :)
The controls feel really nice and you made some really fun platform sequences to conquer! It was super satisfying figuring out that i needed to go left after the white end point killed me. I wish there was some more going on in the backgrounds and perhaps some texture thrown in here or there. Great fit for the jam overall!
Nice game, some parts were a bit too hard for me, but controls/visuals/overall feel are put together very nicely!
Our game is also in godot, so drop by!
i rated
Level 3 I jumped into the void and got softlock
Looking at the other comments, I feel good about having found all the hidden paths
i am fellow godot user. its kinda hard to find them honestly
that makes me sad ='(
Fun! Couldn't make the 1st level, but fun.
ppl keep having this issue. KEEP LOOKING!!!
I like the chill vibe in this game. To be honest I couldn't figure out how to properly pass the first level and kept getting stuck in pits that I had to reset the game to get out of. I like the idea of having two different tutorial guides with different fonts who are directing you to do different things. Great job finishing your game!
I feel like I just entered a new Dimension.
coool. pls send this to friends and have them rate it!
Its a bit hard but i really like it, good job.
Thank you for rating!
It's very good for a first game. The game plays well, music is a solid choice and the meta-commentary was really good.
There is an area in the tutorial where you can get stuck in a pit that is too deep to jump out of it which forced me to restart so I wouldn't call it the safest platformer. And the precise jumping on level 4 and the pit full of 1 long 'objective' kind of went against the relative safety of the previous levels. Level 4 in general kind of goes against the theme as there's only one real route which is the right one.
It's a cool idea that the obvious and telegraphed route isn't at first the win condition. For improvements probably look into coyote-time to make your platforming a bit better.
