A really pretty, really well put together game. The shrinking mecahnic was awesome, I would have loved to see more uses for it. like maybe while shrinking you could burn incoming enemies of a certain type or something.

The visuals were great, absolutely loved them, although the controls felt kinda weird and not snappy. Maybe you could check a video Jonas made about snappy controls. The character also tends to bounce or clip through walls when jumping from a height. The mechanics were interesting and lovely. Good luck with the jam.
What an adorable character. Really well executed game Idea and I definitely approve of the hard circle lighting over the soft kind. It brings together the entire game. Personally, adding a bit more color would make the game look so much better, you already did such a good with the purple! Great game :)
First of all i love the candle guy and its expressionless face o_o :D I like how you used the theme when we die our past light up our way really cool mechanic :) The only thing i dont like is the jumping it doesnt feel right that our character can jump that high :/ Maybe when we burn our candle our jump gets higher that way you will have another mechanic :D Overall i enjoyed my time great work :D
Note:I would be happy if you could check out my game as well :d
Solid game here! I liked the visuals, especially the purple things. Other graphics felt a bit out of style.
The movement could be improve (talking about the jump here) but it still wasn't bad and it was fun going trough this adventure!
Btw if you played my entry, that'd be apreciated!
Very cute, very fun platformer but I ended up rage quitting because the jump is so incontrolable. Sometimes he wouldn't jump, sometimes too much and Idk why
Pretty nice game. Wish there had been more usage out of the shrinking mechanic. Seems like I only had to use it once at the beginning and then it never really came up again. The graphics are adorable and the music fit very well. I also found it a bit odd that you could see the grey platforms when they weren't lit up, but not the purple blobs. I think it'd be less jarring if either both the grey and purple were semi-visible without the light, or both weren't. Overall, well done!
Thanks you, I put some placed which you do need to use tye mechanic ( some jumps the you are to high to jump over, or the short tunnel that was filled with shooting enemies.) but probably i could have used it more :)
Also i chose to make the platforms visble outside the light so that was you arent complitly blind, it makes it so that you still know where to go, but dont know what rnemies hide there.
Thanks for the feedback and for checking out my game.
Pretty game! But it feels that being smaller(have lower health) is useful only for height. I would be cool with you were fast small of the fire you burn would we so hot that it damages enemies
Very nice, but quite challenging for me. Also sometimes enemies can spawn so close to me that I have almost no time to react.
Here's my game:
Good game!
i don't really like the jumping is a little bit floaty, but it's a really cool idea, my game it's nothing compare to this! :')
Wow, this is really good! Basically, your game is like the better version of mine, haha. I really like how your body remains when you die (and it's even affected by gravity) and how you temporarily expand your vision by shrinking. Oh, yeah the shrinking mechanic is super cool! I also love how you're lighting candles along the way and they're like the checkpoints. Even without text, I found that it was quite intuitive to navigate the map, so well done on that part as well. The movement was pretty responsive and fluid. The only thing was the jump felt a bit floaty in general, but especially when you hold the jump for the entire duration. I wish the vision was proportional to the candle height, like I know you get more vision when shrinking, but after you reduce in size, it would be cool to see your vision shrink. So it's like temporarily, you can see more, but because you intentionally (or unintentionally if you get hit) sacrificed some light for additional visibility or to get somewhere, there's a tradeoff in your vision. Anyway, this game was really well polished with nice art and music as well as great gameplay. A really fun game! Great job!
