Dude is protesting by posing as if he's sitting in a car, he got old and tired of running, it's a feature
No but all jokes aside, thank you :) I missed setting up some references with the sceneload
That was legit nearly perfect, the menu, sounds and ui were all there, game has controller support, there's a well executed combination of tetris and platformer that's fun and addictive, it's perfect for this jam's theme and the only thing I could have a remark on is why isn't there a dog too?

Incredible to see a game like this in a gamejam with such a nice collaboration and well worked out presentation (including the itch page). The art and story was funny as hell and I enjoyed the references to the old classics. It's also nice to see a classic DOOM game finally, (it rly had that feel dodging the projectiles). The only thing was the pacing, it was a lil slow and that could've easily been prevented! But overall, incredible execution and a title definitely worthy of hitting the spotlights of GMTK 2024!

Very easy to read and understand what to do, starting the game you right away get a good feel of the controls. Dashing is actually helpful, also bouncing off enemies to hit other enemies was very satisfying. The idea is cute, the graphics are nice. The only thing I didn't like was how zoomed in the camera was, it added a lil stress to not see where or what's coming but I wouldn't say it's a negative point, I think it's just me.
Incredible execution of a gamejam game revolving the theme perfectly. 5/5/5
Thanks! Yeah I tried fixing that but controls take a long time to polish to make them feel good. I regret spending a day studying java code... Could've gotten in the slowmo cams if I didn't do that. But working on the growth mechanic was the most fun I had in ages, I've always wanted to try my hand at scaling in animation since it's such an unconventional thing to do.
It's a good thing that I left out the tombstone mechanic!
Cool art!:) Game needs more tooltips and there needs to be higher pacing. But the controls, placements of objects and overall 'feel' of the game was perfect, I think that's where this game really shined. This could turn into a superfun citybuilder or RTS game if the pacing would be higher. Maybe even with a lil bit of physics, it could be rly fun and innovative.
