Loot the Body rulez!!

It immediately popped in my mind when the random generator gave me a faction that worships the God of Gluttony and Rain. Careful, them New Nobles are strong proponents of Reaganomics.

You nailed the need for the New Noble perk on the head. It was also to display that the NN are the dominant faction controlling the dig site. So far in playtesting, the group that sided with the NN got that delve shift, and are happy to have 3 extra dudes (I rolled low) with them in case sh*t goes down. They're even making them carry the torches.

I guessed a lot on the coin totals. My theory was a group of 4-5 (level 1-2) characters should be able to get an entire level out of it if they find everything.

Thanks! I've got two groups playtesting it now (schedules never permitted it to happen before the jam deadline) and they have gone in totally separate directions. One group immediately sided with the thieves, went in through the sewers and got into multiple combats. They destroyed the wraith, but haven't gotten even close to finding the lantern yet. The other group has decided to play the New Nobles against the Necromancers and con them both. They chose to go in through the great hall and have mostly been sneaky sneaky. They got hit hard with a trap, but survived, fed some curious fey cats, and are actually close to the lantern, but turning away from it to try another direction (they want to bring the following cats to the room with the rat swarms they avoided earlier). I'm very pleased with how this dungeon turned out.

Thanks for the glowing praise!

After reading so many of these, it's clear that mutations are really popular. Yours was the first I read that had that aspect, and I think the one that handled it in the most interesting way.

Little Wars of Hopsberry Manor was #11 on my list. It is also pretty rad. I really liked the animal factions.

It's one of my favorites. I'm absolutely taking my home group through this. I'm going to give them a bunch of the options from the jam and let them pick which order they want to do them.

I never got to all of them. I did get to 100, though. I started reading them a few weeks ago because I knew we would have a short window to review them. I just sort of kept up as new ones were added. I tried hard over the weekend too, but 100% has eluded me.

I realized the same after publishing. I'm going to move it forward in a future edit. I'm finishing playtesting it with two groups, and will update it after they've finished delving.

Thanks! My inspiration for that was the scene in Poltergeist when all the corpses fall into the muddy pool and try to drown the mother.

Congratulations Everyone!! What a jam! I tried my best to read and rate every entry (the only ones I've missed were the ones submitted near the deadline, but there's still time to get to them). Y'all have provided me a folder full of great content to throw at my players, and I thank you for that.

Since not everyone has time to read through all 119 entries (wow!), I wanted to shout out my TOP TEN adventures of the jam (in alphabetical order), the ones I think y'all should definitely take a look at:

  • Caverns of the Sacred Fire
  • Godhead
  • Morass of the Melting Men
  • Questionable Morels
  • Seven Sealed Spirits
  • The Bog's Reckoning
  • The Lost Maze of the Mad Mage
  • The Maiden Voyage
  • Unseen Alchemeticals
  • With the Cult of Crimson Revelers

Of course, if you have time to check out those ten, why not also take a look at Into the Crumbling Catacombs? [shameless self-promotion noises]

I look forward to seeing the final results and watching the commentary on Questing Beast's YouTube channel next week.

That monster is f***ing terrifying! Every time I scroll past the cover for this adventure (now that I know what those arms lead to), it gets me every time.

You did a great job with the layout and organization. I enjoy the depth crawl mechanics and the mix of anchor rooms. It's always fun when even the GM doesn't know what's around the next corner.

I love everything about this adventure! The map really draws me into the adventure possibilities. It's also very GM-friendly. As long as someone had a copy of the map at hand, they could run this with only a few minutes prep. 5 stars all around!

I'm stealing the mirrormanes! I also love the name "Twice Lion." I'm a sucker for cats... This is definitely one of my favorites from the jam.

This is one of my favorites from the jam (5 stars all around). My group will definitely mess with the Cult of Greg ( I get mad McPoyle vibes from them). The vibe check is a cool mechanic and the creatures are weird. I love it!

The evocative art in this adventure is a real selling point. I try not to judge on the quality of the art (because most of us aren't amazing artists), but when the writing, design, and art work together, it's hard NOT to shine. Great job!

Goo checks! Mutations! Slimy goblins! This reminds me of Bittermold Keep from Shadowdark's Cursed Scroll Zine 1

This is amazing! The maps (and the other art)! The color scheme! The organization! Solid 5 stars all around.

This looks like a ton of fun! I love the Reefer Madness propaganda-style cover. My group will eat this up. A few might even succumb to the Revelers' wiles themselves...

The bog beast, overgrowth, and town hexes add a board game element to the adventure that I find quite appealing. I bet other people do, too. Fantastic job! I'll be running this one for sure.

You had me at "a story of greed and cheese." Highlights: the overall presentation, color scheme (which also helps ease of navigation), and the hand-drawn maps. This will be easy to pick up and play on the fly (which is always a selling point for this forever gm).

I enjoyed the variety of encounter tables and the need to find mundane items like an anchor to repair a ship. My homebrew setting includes tropical islands, so this will make a fine addition of locations the PCs to run ashore into nasty rocks and have to find a new way off the island.

I really enjoyed the role reversal of being the dungeon traps re-setter and fending off invading creatures. It's also really well-organized and would be easy to run on the fly.

I love the jeweled stingbats (they will definitely be making an appearance in my weekly Shadowdark game). What sold me, though, was the alchemist generator near the end.

Literally being railroaded by the devil. Priceless.

I have little experience with tandem quests, but this looks like fun. I particularly like the interactivity of the traps, portals, and other PCs.

Very well organized! I could pick this up and run it within ten minutes. I also like that you added your generator prompts in the beginning.

This looks great! It also pairs well with Honey! (another bee contest entry).

This is awesome! I'm running this one for my group the next time they travel by ship.

I had to submit this adventure for the game jam before I could playtest it (yay scheduling). I currently have two groups delving the dungeon (from two different entrances). I will adjust the adventure afterward if needed.

This looks super fun. I like the variety of locations and encounters. I want a mutation now!

I've just submitted my entry for this jam with my own art (as limited as it may be), but I'd love to work with you in the future. I'm always looking for ways to add art into my products, and could use as much fantasy art as I can get my hands on. Black and white art is the style I'm going for (I mostly make Shadowdark stuff) and yours looks great! I'll definitely hit you up in the future. Do you have a preferred method of contact, or is itch.io the best way to reach you?

Thanks for the update.

Does anyone know what date/time the livestream is going to happen (more specifically  than just this weekend)?

The queue stopped for me after the first 4 I reviewed.  No response from tech support or the community on how to fix it. I'm super bummed because I was also planning on giving some stellar reviews.

I am also having issues with my rating queue. I rated the four options I was given, then the queue was empty. I'm also new to this platform. I've seen comments on how you can vote on them all, but how does the queue refill? I don't know enough about itch to know when it is working correctly and when it isn't. Any advice out there from people with more experience?
