Thanks for submitting your game to the stream. If you wanted to look at it again in the future heres the vod timestamped to your game

Really nice use of the theme, great polish and visuals. It took me a minute to grasp that i had to check my Album and drag to requests but other than that it was intuitive, good flow. heck yeah, i would have played a full game like that

Game looks really good

I thought the unique idea with the requests themselves and taking the photos to complete them in the way you had it is pretty awesome.

I thought there's a lot of visual detail and lot of thought put into the game.

Really nice job on it, that's a fun game and really good submission!

Nice!! Love the vibes you guys created with this one! The animations and menu transitions feel great and I cannot even comprehend the kind of coding wizardry Busride Studios had to pull off to set up all this stuff in a week xD Massive kudos to all you guys!!

Passivist's style is so perfect for this kind of theme, the atmosphere is fantastic!! I love that there's unique songs for every biome. The Folkémon's animations are so fluid and all the little growls and noises the animals make really help bring them to life!

I think you guys hit gold with the idea, and I'm super happy to see this getting the attention it deserves!! Congrats on the great submission :D

Thanks for playing Mystery, and for your kind words!

Yes passive knocked it out of the park again with the amount of audio he put out (When i wired them in, game file went from 40mb to 100+mb). There were actually unique "walking" sounds for EACH cryptid, but I failed to wired them in before the deadline.

On top of passive and I, we've got an artist friend @junkgolem this time who made the cryptids and biomes come to life with her art!

Glad you had fun with this; we enjoyed ourselves making this as well!

Really cool idea, the kind of idea I'm jealous of because I wish I thought of it. Also pretty great art.

I do think there's some tension in the design between it being a relaxing game of just take the photo vs. it being a "challenging" game of taking the photo within the time limit, but that's a pretty minor issue.

Developer

Thanks for playing ignte! We're glad you like the art by @junkgolem!  Yea perhaps an accessibility option was to let players choose between "experience mode" (no timers) vs "arcade mode"!

Submitted(+3)

Very well polished game! Impressive system designs and it was a fun short experience. I was expecting a more relaxing experience and even though the time was generous to snap a picture for a request I found myself stressed I'd miss a request due to an creature not being around during that time of day.

Developer

Thanks for playing yblade! Ah we had tweaked the requests deadline to be slower for this jam! We wanted to have some tension to make gameplay more fun, but not overwhelm players.

Really neat idea, and I love how it looks! The cryptid designs in particular are great, but the whole UI clearly had a lot of love put into it.

Great Job!

Developer

Thanks for playing Enagan! We hope the UI wasn't too confusing to navigate!

Loved the art on this, and the pokemon snap mechanic is so fun! I think this was really well made + I had a great time!

Developer

Thanks for playing merunicorn (or should say.. princess?) Glad you had fun playing it ;)

The sprites an animations are awesome.

A friend of mine played a lot of pokemon snap back then. I instantly remembered this time.

Developer

Thanks for playing hob! Yea we too had nostalgia from that era of gaming, and it was a big inspiration for this game!

This one looks so great! Very polished for a jam game and I loved the Pokemon Snap concept. It took me a bit to process everything, but I liked how each cryptid had specific times of day they were active and I love all the animations (particularly the Mothman eating lol). Only note is that the arrows in the Folkedex missed my clicks every once in a while, but this is a truly excellent entry. Great work team!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing reno! Glad you noted the fact that the cryptids had bedtimes! The mothmen's probiscus was a very nice touch indeed by @junkgolem!

I noticed the issue iwth the Folkedex buttons post-submission! I think it had to do with my custom button class top node not "Passing" mouse inputs to the child Area2D detecting mouse overs. Have made the changes for the next time I use that custom node! Thanks for pointing it out!

Really cool game, It was stressing to start directly with a timer and the controls are hard to get used to, so I think a tutorial phase would be cool but I liked everything else. The visuals are super pretty, the monsters strolling around are cute and the mechanic of taking photos and completing mission was a great idea ! I had a lot of fun, really good job !

Developer

Thanks for playing stormring! Yea the tutorial aspect was definitely the biggest thing we needed to work on! But glad you still figured out how to play eventually!

High quality with lots of attention to detail.

Thanks for playing hatmix!

very fleshed out and well executed, great work.

Thanks for playing Circle House! Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+3)

This is such a delightful concept. The art style is SO CUTE. The controls tripped me up a bit, it'd be nice if you could left click to go into zoom mode, left click to take a photo, right click to leave zoom... maybe even hold down left  to zoom, let go to take picture and return to the wide view.

Developer

Thanks for playing Delvan! Yea a heavier emphasis on using the mouse as a controller would indeed make it easier to take photos! As it stands there does seem to be too many buttons! Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+3)

Whole game felt very polished, and the ui is really attractive. Great design on the Folkemons too XD

Developer

Thanks for playing Specturnal! We too fell in love with the critters @junkgolem conjured up!

Submitted(+3)

A really great entry, good use of the theme and another great pun title.  Made me nostalgic for Pokemon Snap. Would photograph cryptids again.
