There ya go... fixed. :-D

I thought it was going to be tedious, but actually didn't take much time.

yup. You're correct. I literally wrote this out on a piece of printer paper one day during a break at work and scanned it in.... imperfections and all.

Very immersive and unique ideas presented for adventure.

Thank you for the input. As a species... all the ones presented in this short adventure might be evil, but I don't think they need to all be evil as a species. I think there's definitely potential for a path to redemption if characters could somehow break their devotion to the evil god. I like the way you think, I like them too. I tried to present situations that could have a variety of possible outcomes depending on how players approach the situation and I definitely think a path to redemption could be a possibility... at least if I were the GM.

Mariner's dagger that can always be used to point north is an interesting magical item with some cool flavor, to make it unique. I enjoyed that detail.

Art style is really cool.

I had the same issue. I hit the link and it goes to "nothing found". Would be happy to approve my submissions. Definitely signed in, etc.

Ha! Yes, indeed!!

Thanks! I was inspired to make this game because for some reason, there's little packs of wild turkeys all over the town where I live. They're harmless, but my imagination goes nuts... thinking about what kinds of nefarious plots the turkeys have.

Ha! Yes, obviously got the Predator vibes. I think the framework could be applied pretty easily to other monster movie plots, but you're def right.

My fault. I went into my settings and def needed to change some email settings. I think I'd set some things whenever I created my account and they were not going to work for this. :-D So, hopefully I won't have issues with receiving itch.io email going forward!

Thank you. I hit the approve!

Just checking in about when the notices to Approve projects for the bundle might come out. I've been checking email regularly, haven't seen anything yet, trying to be on the lookout. I've missed these in the past so am trying to be a little extra diligent. Thank you.

Indeed! I can understand it. If it does get out of hand, you can always edit or dial it back, split into multiple games, etc etc etc... I say, if you have motivation and the creativity is flowing, just go for it. I look forward to checking out what you come up with.

Hi. I relate to your post because that's how I felt a couple years ago when I initially joined itch.io. At that time, it was the Random Adventure Jam and the system was dungeonpunk that caught my attention. But, similar situation. I think, just go for it. The community I've encountered has been very welcoming and supportive, and now I can't stop joining Jams and making fun little games and tools. Anyway, I hope you find the joy in making games! And, Roll Up! is pretty cool.

Cool. I'm glad you like it. That mechanic is straight out of Roll Up! and I agree, that is a clever feature. So simple, yet a great balancing idea. Thank you!

Hey, totally understandable. It looks like the kind of project you can always come back to, whenever that may be. Or not. I think you've got a good thing going, though, so I look forward to any additions, if they're in the cards. Thanks.

How is this project coming along? I noticed some of the proposed deadlines have come and gone. I think it is super cool so far, looking forward to seeing where it goes.

In Bullets in the Jungle, characters play members of an elite group of soldiers sent to investigate the disappearance of a group of journalists. It is soon apparent that a UFO went down in the area and that they're up against a threat not-of-this-world. The chances of survival are low, the stakes are high, now they're on their own in the jungle and the only way to survive is to kill the monster!

Bullets in the Jungle uses the Roll Up! system, a system that needs only a single D6 to play. It is a game themed after 80s action monster movies, you can do the math. It's only one page and free to download, check it out.

Hello. I made a game using Roll Up to submit when the Jam starts. It is largely based off Predator, but certainly can be adapted to riff off lots of monster action movie type storylines. Alien, Tremors, Pitch Black, Critters, Mars Attacks, Jurassic Park, and Cowboys & Aliens all come to mind. Anyway, any are welcome to check it out ahead of the jam at https://junkyardtornado.itch.io/bullets-in-the-jungle if interested. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!

Sounds good. Thank you! I appreciate you helping to make my game more accessible to more people.

You are welcome to translate Warrior Wizard if you have the time/energy. I'll post it along side. Thanks.

I've got an idea for a one-page game, I'll check it out. Thanks!

Warrior Wizard is a one-page tabletop rpg inspired loosely by Karl Edward Wagner's Kane character. Play a Warrior who's also a Wizard. The game is compatible with the basic OSR style stats, so you can use popular old school monster books or adventures, if you want. Also, included is a table for generating on the fly opposition for Warrior Wizards to face off against. Lots of community copies if you need one, but also, don't be afraid to kick in a buck to support indie game creation. Thanks!

Turkeys of Doom is a one-page horror rpg with a campy vibe. Characters take on the roles of people trying to stop killer turkeys from murdering everybody and taking over. The turkeys have had enough. No longer are they content to sit idly by while they get served up as holiday dinner center pieces and roasted to be turned into cold cuts. They seek revenge! Leading the charge is the Great Turkey, the bones of the original turkey from the first Thanksgiving, now in lich form and out for blood.

It's silly, it's fun, it's a good time. Try out Turkeys of Doom!

Thank you! That's some solid feedback. I'm glad you like it. I haven't attempted making something like this since, but maybe I should. Yea, the text being darker would improve it.

It was time for an update for War Gnomes. The adventure setting, with 4 warring gnome factions, has now been updated with stats and gear packages for Cairn. Of course, the module could easily be adapted to another fantasy ttrpg game. Find here a short adventure along with a few ideas for further adventures, that could be expanded upon, along with a bunch of setting info and lore behind the 4 gnome factions.

I would like to commission some art for Adventures in the Frontier Lands, a set of hexes and locations with adventures designed for use with Basic Fantasy 4th Edition. I put a lot of love into this project and I think some original art for a cover and a few interior pieces would truly put the cherry on the top. It would be in the same old school style that many of the Basic Fantasy projects have, with the goal of eventually having a near at-cost print on demand book, along with the free pdf, as all the Chris Gonnerman Basic Fantasy products are available.

Thinking it's ok to submit a work in progress? I've been loving this project and have a map, locations, and it's all coming along. But I started detailing some dungeons and it's gotten much bigger than originally intended. I'm not sure I'll have time to finish in the timeframe..  thinking I'd like to submit what I've done and finish over the course of the next week or so.

I love these options! Great stuff.

I hope my comments came across as just food for thought and suggestions. I like your adventure quite a bit! I am thinking of possibly using it for a game soon, actually. And cool, your comment on the salvage thing makes sense.

Yes, that's a good point. Funny, I thought of that detail as something to make the players wary.... but you're right, it should also entice certain players, as well.

Hey, that sounds awesome. I'd be glad to check out the page two! Ahhhh I had to cut a bunch of text from my own adventure to fit on a single page.

Interesting premise. I like how the time travel doesn't have to be super disruptive to the game world, the concept of how it is presented is something I've never considered and I think pretty cool. I can see how this adventure can be expanded upon considerably.

As for something I might add... a bit more of a hook to get the characters to go in a portal or at least check out the derelict. Although, I'm sure running across the escape pod would be enticing enough for many!

Great map. Fun and interesting premise, with some dark humor. Well done. The descriptions are to the point, giving enough to work with yet room to get creative and fill in the blanks. I like it.

The concept is good and I thought the hook worked. The story involved is cinematic and there's a lot of useful info included on the page. Honestly, I just had a hard time with the layout, finding the right text to go with the locations, and figuring out how the maps went together, I think this aspect is unnecessarily confusing and I might go for a simpler layout. If I was going to run this, I think I'd have to create that for myself. But the art style does have appeal.

I love the weirdness of the adventure, the map is fantastic (I also appreciate how the entry points are so clearly marked!). The room descriptions give enough to go on, but leave room to get creative. I think having a little bit stronger hook is the one area I might try to add something, even though I think for the right party the "here's something new let's go explore" route might be enough.

I like the time limitation, very suspenseful and limiter to exploration. The layout of the ship, with info in the rooms is very useful. The violence creates a real horror vibe that I could see bringing on some intense game play.

I do think there's a good concept here and I do appreciate the map, there's just not a lot of "adventure" presented. I think including some encounters or situations for the characters to interact with would go a long way. I'm all for imagination, but some starting points would go a long way to take some prep off the GM. Still, I see the potential for something more fleshed out and great here.

I like the bait aspect, drawing the characters to the situation. The adventure seems like it will build suspense nicely and escalate danger well, becoming seriously deadly... works well with the sci fi elements involved. The way the aliens are presented as trees with fruit seems like it could come across so peaceful, but I love that they are so deadly! Well done.
