I really liked this game! It's really polished (loved the UI and the transition effect!) and I love how we're controlling a flying croissant. I personally only found two things to criticise: It was sometimes a bit hard to tell what the enemy was supposed to be.

For example, I genuinely have no idea what that's supposed to be:

But honestly, that's not really a big problem, and my own game has graphics way worse than that. xD
And then, of course, the game didn't *really* have something to do with towers... I mean, sure, the tower in the background looks nice, but it is at the end just a background. But honestly, these are small issues and it doesn't really matter at all. Good job!

Thanks for playing and the feedback! Visual clarity was quite a challenge for us with this game :)

very charming!

Thanks for playing!

I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVED. IT.

The artstyle was on point, the background in its semplicity it was perfect. The bullet hell mechanics are really good and not too difficult neither too easy. I played it for like 30 mins and still couldn't reach the end, my highscore was 25400. I think I'll keep playing it in the spare time to see what's at the end of it.

Out of curiosity, the Eiffel tower is a 3D model right? Are you using a Viewport with a CompositorEffect for the dithering? Is the dithering pattern a custom one? Because I saw also use dithering for my project and have experimented unique patterns and I think I already saw it, lol.

Hey thanks for playing. Glad to hear you enjoyed the game :)
The Tower is actually not a real-time effect, it was achieved by creating rendered frames of a 3D model spinning, then throwing layer upon layer of effects and correction onto them. This way it was both quick to get the look we needed and creates the choppy animation style!

Ohh I see, clever solution!

I got to tell you, it was perfect! Everything, down to the last minute details. Good visuals, mechanics and concept, it have everything to win the Jam. Congratulations!

Really fun game overall. It sounded great and looked great as well, especially the tower effect. Interesting how only having up to 3 shots at a time encourages you to play up close and riskier.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the game :)

Really fun! Both the art and gameplay are grat. Love the bread theme—it looks so yummy!

Thank you for playing!

I love the rotating background effect, I think it looks great but there might need to be more contrast between that background and the foreground gameplay elements.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah the foreground object could have stood out a bit better, thanks for the feedback 👍

Submitted(+3)

Lovely shmup! The aged white works really well for the setting and the difficulty increase was nice and stable.

When I figured out I could use the mouse buttons to turn and shoot it worked a treat and was a lot of fun.

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks for playing! We made sure to include a bunch of control options aside from the ones shown in the game, so I'm glad you liked it :)

Fun Gameplay, color pallet  and Sfx. LOVE the rotating Eiffel tower.

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it!

Really cute game! I love the visuals!

The 3 shot limit feels a bit odd to me since it rarely happens, and when it does just feels a bit glitchy.

I love the pivot, makes it feel very dynamic. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! We wanted the 3 shot mechanic because it would create an interesting trade-off between being away from the edge of the screen versus being close so you can rapid fire more. I get it can be confusing though 😅

Pulled out my controller instead of using the keyboard controls.

If there's a Croissant, surely there's a Baguette I thought. And then the Thick Baguette ended me 💀.
The art is beautiful, especially the Eiffel tower.

Gave me an S rank, so in turn I rate this game an S rank!

Quite an addictive game with a fantastic art style. I really like how the enemies come from both sides and you can change directions depending on what the situation requires.

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the play :) we also really enjoyed designing waves with the pivot in mind.

Submitted(+3)

Not sure but the enemies stopped spawning after a while and it was just me with nothing to shoot! Sacre bleu!

I like the low-contrast colour choices, and the art was cute :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! That's quite odd, the game is supposed to continue until the boss. Was there a specific moment where that happened?

Submitted(+3)

Really like the music! And the sound effects!

Developer

Thanks!

Such a great game, the way you worked with the 1 bit restrictions is just perfect. 5 Stars!
