The best I have played so far. Such a great take on the theme. Everything just worked together so well. Super impressed, loved it.

Awesome game! It's one of the best I've played in this jam. The mechanics are really easy to grasp but still lead to difficult and interesting puzzles. I really enjoy it. The presentation is also fantastic. Great job!

Challenging game! I liked it, congrats!

Everything is on point. Excellent entry totally fit with the theme and constraints. Congrats !

I really like it, the mechanic is really simple but Impressive. and the art, the music are so suitable

One little thing is that if you lose this level, it will make you back to last level, sometime I may forgot how I solve the last level, so I may go back and back again.... lol, That makes me a little impatient, Would you fix it?

Developer(+1)

Hey we fixed it. Enough feedback came through to say that people didn't like being sent back. It IS important that people learn how the puzzle works before moving on. So, we made certain levels 'repeat' and the tutorial levels 'go back'.

Try it out again. Thanks so much for playing!

I really enjoyed the game and was a nice challenge. Only thing I'd probably change is making it where if you failed it restarted the level rather than make you do the previous level as well.

Developer

Thank you so much! Although we thought it was the way to go, enough feedback has come through to make us make some minor changes. We don't want you to 'accidentally' pass, but also don't want you to get frustrated. So, certain levels that are 'tutorial' are staying the same, but the more difficult ones 'repeat' now.

Thanks again for playing it means a lot to us.

Brilliant, wish it was 9/10 hours long, I was still humming the music when I went to bed.

Well done :) really nice mechanic! simple yet effective and I had to force myself to stop haha. You could probably make it a bigger game even. I'll follow you on itch!

Developer(+1)

No sir, I'll follow YOU on itch! haha thank you for playing!

Great game, I really like the puzzle design. It seemed like if I failed on the current open though, I would have to replay the last puzzle. But overall, I like the game!

I love this type of dungeon game, I got stuck in the first phase lol, but the game is really good, congratulations on the game

My favourite one in this jam so far! I would buy it if it becomes a commercial game with loads of content.

The art wasn’t something complex but I loved it anyway. The gameplay was puzzle heavy which is one of my favourite genres. The music, although repetitive I didn’t think it was a problem as this game was short. The puzzles themselves was a real head scratcher, took me minutes on some of them lol. The dialogue is fun and I think it fits well. The usage of the theme is maybe simple but I think it was genius.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it manages the top 5.

i had a lot of fun playing this one! the puzzles were great and well thought out. the art and music's incredible!

I really enjoyed it. Very good puzzles.

Only critical feedback I have is that I would prefer to be able to reset the level. I think it is clever that you walk back to the previous room if you fail a level but if this was a longer experience than it would have become really frustrating.

Developer

We agree and with all the feedback coming in we decided to adjust a number of levels to make them repeat only. We want people to make it all the way through. The tutorial levels are still 'rollback' levels because we need to be sure the player understands the core mechanics before moving forward.

Thank you SO MUCH for playing

I invite you to play my game and give me some feedback as well!

Really fun little puzzle game! Definitely could see a larger scale version of this working really well.

Developer

We're working on it!

Thank you thank you for playing

This was a delight to play. A lot of content too for a game jam game. It was very well made and polished. It was genuinely challenging too and sometimes a room can take minutes to solve. Nicely done.

Amazing how you implement theme in to puzzle design! Great work!

Submitted

Well, that was a great game. There is not much else to say. I enjoyed this throughly.

Really clever puzzle gameplay and love how well it integrates with the theme.

The ramp up in difficulty feels perfect and super satisfying to finish.

Love it.

Most likely the best implementation of the theme so far. Great puzzle designs, really well thought out, up to the fact that your sent one room back after you fail. This is all amazingly put together.

My one grip with it is that, with this premise, every puzzle is pretty easy to figure out.

I really appreciate it Elie. Thank you for playing!

I've been on the fence about being sent back a level, and it had been tested both ways. I'm still not entirely confident, but I think my reasoning for shipping it this way is sound. I want to make sure the early mechanics are understood.  In play testing level 0-2 was often easily passed by accident. So, some players were confused as to how to solve 0-3 because they didn't understand that potions remove skulls.

I think I may disable it after world zero, do you think that would help?

P.S. Pure Spite is very cool. I'm reviewing it soon, just not done playing it :)

I completely agree that it's a great way to make sure that the player is understanding the game correctly. It has helped me, at least, when health potions were introduced. It may be less usefull once all the mechanics are there and the game is only introducing variants of existing ones (such as the big potion)

Thanks for the kind word on Pure Spite and no need to hurry. I'm not commenting to pump more review
