This one was great!

Amazing! Love rhythm games! The songs are kinda lacklustre but the idea and the art are incredible.

Nice game! I'm kind of bad at rhythm games, but this one was really well made. Loved the pixel art and music. Well done!

The idea of taking over the opponents notes is interesting, but I feel like it leads to an imbalance - the player that does well will do even better with access to more notes, making it hard to catch up for the other player.

The combo completely resetting on a miss is a bit brutal I think, maybe it should decrease instead.

The graphics were really solid and I love the chosen color palette.

The music was kinda putting me to sleep, maybe that's just my taste in music though 😅

Thanks for the feedback!

While it is true that the leading player will build up more of a combo with access to more notes, our mechanic assumes that players will be much more likely to break as a player needs to start hitting 5 and then 6 notes. On the flip side, it will be much easier for the player behind to build up a steady, albeit smaller, combo.

Because of this, we needed the combos to fully break on each miss in order to create back-and-forth tension between the players by allowing the idea of a “counter attack” once the player ahead misses. This was to help make the multiplayer aspect as interesting and interactive as possible.

The music we ended up making did seem to have a bit of a disconnect with the game, something higher energy might have been better suited for sure.

Thanks for playing and once again thank you very much for the feedback!

Very fun game! Thanks!

The idea of this game is very cool. The player in the lead is given a greater challenge, and the player fallen behind is given an easier experience, having them a chance to come back. Definitely a great game to play with friends (only if I had one 😭)

The musics are kinda bland for a rhythm game, though.

Developer

Yea the music was quite rushed looking back but we had a lot of fun with it regardless, haha. Glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback!

Was not expecting a rhythm game. Great concept and the switch over mechanic is very cool.

Developer

Rhythm games are quite rare in these jams haha. Glad you liked it!

Thank you very much!

Neat! I'm not great at rhythm games so tricky for me and there wasn't a lot of feedback to tell if I was doing a good job or not except if I completely missed. That said, really love the look of the game and a very unique take on the genre. Nice job

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words and feedback!

I like it a lot, I love rhythm games... it was a bit difficult at times but really nice

Developer

Thank you!

I really like the lane takeover mechanic. Though, trying to hit the notes feels a bit confusing and unresponsive at times.

Developer(+1)

thanks for checking it out, and for the input!

Do you mind sharing what browser you were using? And whether or not you have hardware acceleration enabled? Thanks for playing!

thank u! 😊

Very nice game! I love the dragon design, music and mechanics. The only thing that doesn't convince me is the choice of keys: I prefer the classic WASD and arrows, it's a bit awkward with numbers.

Developer(+2)

I totally understand. Deciding on controls was one of the harder parts for sure! The only reason we did number keys was because of our note takeover mechanic.

Looks & sounds great. Even the home screen is fun to navigate splitting the colors into two at the point of the cursor.

Developer(+1)

thank u! 😄
