It's really fun. Definitely a little punishing for me, but I had a great time enjoying the game while I was at it.
really challanging... couldn't beat it yet... but a nice little jnr for coffee breaks! well done!
cool and beautiful
Really nice, I love the visuals and the game's super charming. My only gripe is that jumping feels kind of strict. There's something called "Coyote Time", this is where the player has a small leeway after falling off a platform/before touching a platform where they can still input jump and get a jump. Might want to look into implementing that in the future as it's quite fundamental to the feel of platformers. Other than that the game's really really nicely done, great job!

It is super easy to implement, though. Just store the isGrounded state with a float instead of a bool, set it to a small value like 0.1 seconds when you touch ground, make it reduce by time, and whenever the player press the jump button, it checks if the value is greater than 0. If yes, set the value to 0 and do the jump function.
If you are using Unity or C# and you already have multiple functions accessing the isGrounded bool, you can turn it into a "property with custom accessors" (a property with a custom getter and a custom setter).
A nice little platformer, I didn't have too hard of a time. The atmosphere was really nice too.

Made it to the end! It was challenging at first, but not too bad. I'd say the hardest part was the big fall a the very beginning.
I liked the princess and her animations; the way she moved felt very smooth.
This is not one bit, however. There were many shades of pink and cream on all the geometry, and the black and white checkpoints felt very disconnected from the rest of the art.
I could kind of see what you were trying to get at with the 'falling into madness' thing with the music distortion, but the fact that none of the other elements of the game conveyed a descent into madness I never would've known why the music was distorting if not for the description.

Very fun mechanic. The death animation was hilarious, especially when dying at the start where you just fall for a while upside down. A bit on the hard side I feel for a game jam. Either easier overall, or a little more gradience would have been nice.
Nevertheless it was a fun experience.

Fun game, and quite a challenge! The controls are tight which is very important in this case. The color palette is also distinct from all of the other games I've seen. I like it.

Really solid submission! The gameplay mechanics are super intuitive and really fun to get a grasp of, and the choice of colors makes the world feel full despite the limitation of only two colors! I'm not the best at platforming, yet I was able to get to the smiley face in roughly 5-10 minutes, of course with some deaths. Overall, really enjoyed this one!
I like your choice of colours, it definitely makes the game stand out. I also like the movement mechanics- but sadly I am a dog player, and got hard stuck almost immediately.
I'm curious how the music brings about the theme as you mentioned in the description- mind spoiling it for me because I am nowhere near good enough to get very far in.

This game is the spawn of the devil! It may just be the kind of game I like, but it was quite addicting and fun. But I got too frustrated after dying 30 times in one spot that I gave up :D
