How does your game represent Mode?
This game represents MODE by randomly switching which mode the player is in while traveling! The player must adapt to the different global effects that modes apply and use them to their advantage (if they can....) to retrieve their sandwich!

its a really cool idea. feels like a dungeon puzzle game and i like that. the thing i would change would be the speed its a bit too slow.
Me like a lot
I had fun with this! (would like a bit more control of the attack actions you can take during your turn but it's great!!!)
This was fun.
Fun little game. Well made
Thank you!
I think the idea of having random effects is fun and the rotating attack makes you approach combat a bit differently than other dungeon crawlers.
My main criticism is that it is a bit too slow. Moves should probably be either really sped up or just straight up be able to be skipped. Right now it feels a bit sluggish to play and after I died and got reset a few areas back I had no drive to redo the last few floors.
Intro was really nice tho and I like the UI.
Thanks for making this.
Thanks for playing!
I LOVE mystery dungeons!!! It made me happy to find a mystery dungeon game in this jam!!
I do like the modes and how it's implemented. But I wish there was more ways to plan ahead and gain some player control with attacks since as for now the attack direction are determined each turn. I do suggest to update the UI for that next upcoming attack timer to make it in Pokemon Legends Arceus style if you decide to keep the attack system that way since it's more intuitive to see a queue list than seeing numbers.
I also really love that cutscene, the girl just straight up fell I felt bad for her.
I also love how there's actually an achievement system. That caught me by surprise when I accidentally got one.
Oh oh I also think the music does fit into the mystery dungeon feel and the art is charming. Good job!
Thanks so much :D
Really well done! My only piece of feedback is I wish I could input my moves a lot faster, but that may be because I'm not super strategic :D
Thanks :D
The animation at the start had me hooked from the beginning. The different modes added a fun twist to the gameplay and kept it fresh. I also loved the variation of enemies I could fight. Great work :)
So glad to hear such nice things about my animation! Lawl. Thank you so much :-) <3
That intro animation was crazy, neat stuff! Some of the modes were annoying but it's all good
Thank you! :-) Glad you played it!
This is a really neat concept, nice work! Having to plan out your moves ahead of time based on the pre-determined attacks is tricky, but pretty satisfying once you get the hang of it, especially once extra attack patterns get layered in over time. It did start to get frustrating how long turns took to resolve on later levels, however
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the feedback as well!
This was super charming. I loved the variety in the gameplay between the directional attacks and the different attack/movement modes. And going the extra mile to add achievements was great! I'll agree with some other comments that the gameplay is a little slow, but overall this was a fun entry!
Thanks for the kind words!
I wish the game was FASTER
Appreciate the feedback
Felt very strategic and fun! My gripe was the short pause between turns which made the game feel a bit slow.
Very hilarious situation too and felt pretty fresh aswell. Nice!
Great feedback, thanks!
The goal was for players to stop and think between actions, instead of only gunning it for the stairs each time.
Works great when in close quarters with enemies! But I do understand how it makes it feel slow at times.
Glad you overall enjoyed the game though! :-9
very interesting gameplay, really liked it
Thank you so much! Love the beam profile pic lol
Oh! connossieur. ty lmfao
I spedrun the video game and won with only 1 death! letzzz gooo
Ur a god
Goated
Mechanics are interesting but pausing in between each move just feels unsatisfying. The game's flow feels interrupted when all enemies are off the board.
Appreciate the feedback
Interesting scenario
Thanks!
Cool game, I don't really understand why the powers are on a cycle since the mode changes make the game interesting enough.
Fair point! Appreciate the feedback!
(love your game btw! :->)
Very unique game. The puzzle / mode swapping combat was neat, I like how it made me plan out my moves ahead of time. Also the art is great, music too. Well done!
🙏🙏
Thanks so much!
