How does your game represent Mode?
because le froggo uses different modes (froggo, anvil, and bullet) to move around the level and traverse platforming challenges

Love the weird movement in this game. Very fun to move around. You can defiantly make lots of awesome new levels with this movement and even make it into a full game.

I love this game !
The concept is very fun and the polish is great, well done :)

I love the look and style of this game! The controls were surprisingly very intuitive, and the different modes flowed well between each other. The music was also very charming! To me there's not much to critique, but I would say that that sometimes it felt a bit unfair to have obstacles outside the camera's view right before a long anvil drop (perhaps a brief zoom-out would help there). Still, this is an awesome game, one of the best in the jam! Great work!

What a fun game!! I am not much into platformers but it seemed like a really well crafted level!

oh... nice

Cool use of the theme! I like how all of their abilities naturally mapped to the directions, so it made it easy to pick up and navigate the levels. Some level designs got a little too punishing as it went on though, particularly at times when there were hazards outside of the game's viewport. Still, it's a cool idea and the visuals are pretty polished too!

Great job! I dunno why this felt so on point with the theme but I think you nailed it. Unique movement that feels tight and skill based. Also super cute art style.

This is great, very polished. Simple but addictive concept.

a new idea, i liked  the game good luck

At the start I had some trouble getting the controls right but once I did it was quite fun and I managed to beat the game quite handedly:) Strong points in this game for me were simplicity, and styling!

this was a very well-put-together game! the different modes that the froggo could switch into were very intuitively designed with one another, and they made for some really good gameplay to try to figure out how to navigate around each room. the pixel art was also very cute! loved it, glad i got the chance to play it!

This was way more fun than I expected! Superb effort, super slick. Truly a standout.

damn! this game is amazing! the 3 modes play perfectly with each other and the level designs mesh with them so well. presentation is exquisite. you should make this a full game and sell it because it's too good to just be a jam game. also, speedruns of this game would go crazy, someone please do that, i'm not good enough to do it myself.

This game is nearly perfect! The art, audio, game feel, and pacing were great! The only thing holding this back is that some of levels require slightly too much precision and the lack of checkpoint can be pretty demotivating when you die at the end of a level. Love everything else though, the three characters each feel amazing to use!

Also while the time slow effects while using the anvil make it feel powerful and weighty, they also make it unnecessarily difficult to time switching to other modes when falling, mostly for the section where you turn into the anvil above a laser.

Thanks to much for playing! Loved your grandma vaccum game, really unique and fun! I agree with your criticism. We had to make all of the levels in the same day, meaning we didn't have time to tweak the difficulty, precision, etc. The anvil slowing down time can help in some situations, but I agree it can get in the way when time changes too suddenly, this is most likely a matter of tweaking levels to accommodate and making the time shift less agressive.

Well, that's pretty impressive you guys managed to make all the levels in one day! We made it a priority to start level design as early as possible, since I've been in that same situation of reaching the end of the jam with all the systems done but no content. You guys clearly have the rest of the process nailed though!

Very well polished and good level design! I thought the music and sound design fit really well too. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Had to rush the sounds with bfxr in the last day, glad to hear they turned out well!

Really fun game! The levels were well designed. I died to the spikes at the level 4 more times than I'd like to admit. I do wish there was a reset button, as I got softlocked on level 4. But it was easy enough to get back and continue.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! I have a patch for both the soft lock and adding a reset button (R) but I can't submit it until after the jam ;-;

Submitted(+1)

super good design! everything was intuitive and felt super good to control. definitely needs a reset button, I soft locked myself in the third level. the art's fantastic too

Developer(+2)

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed playing! Yeah I have a patch for the soft-lock and adding a reset button, but I can't submit it until after the jam ;-;. Yeah tenseven knocked it out of the park with the art! Loved how it all turned out

Super well polished game, a few quality of life improvements and some more levels and this could be its own game! Nice one :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you! I'm definitely going to try to make this at least a bit fleshed out with more levels, mechanics, fixes, etc after the jam!
