Well done! The design is so cool. I was in awe.

Wow the art is so impressive in this game and the gameplay matches up very well with it. Glad I played this one. This is the first game I've ever played that makes you really feel like you're in a comic and there's so much potential there. I liked the gun variety and how it automatically changes periodically, that keeps the gameplay fresh and the moment right before your next gun is revealed is a very unique moment of excitement and tension.

Gotta mention the art again because it's so good, it's extremely professional and it's so cool to see comic book style drawings moving in 3d space. The sounds matched up with what I'd expect a comic book to sound like too. Even the main menu is awesomely unique and heavy with comic book nostalgia, brilliant!

Awesome game! Amazing aesthetic and solid gameplay. I kinda wish the weapons cycled a bit more frequently. Overall, well done!

The art style looks so good and is so well done & cohesive. Super cool stuff. Gameplay is fun & I really like the different shooting styles being out of our control. Enemy variety is cool too. Good job on this!

Visual masterpiece. The character art is really fun and creative. The enemies and their projectiles are vibrant so you know exactly where to shoot/move around. The different gun modes feel distinct. I did feel like sometimes I was getting hit unexpectedly, but I'm not very experienced in this genre 😅Nice job!

Made me feel powerful, super cool design and gameplay. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing art style and character design! The gameplay is simple yet well executed. I would say some of the weapon modes are quite hard to use. Overall a great entry for the jam, well done!

Graphics are phenomenal. Got in the game at 1000000 sensitivity, but I still ended up blasting a ton of guys. Sound effects are superb along with great presentation in the comic book art style. Personally I'm a big fan of spraying as many lag shots as possible and watching them all die seconds later. Great game!

Visually my favorite game of the jam so far.

The comic book artstyle and character designs are amazing, my only complaints are that some of the guns (lag shot, charge shot) feel way too weak for the amount of enemies that start showing up later in the game and the aim sensitivity is a tad high

This is so cool and a nice throwback. Presentation is awesome, props to whoever did the art. One minor gripe is how autofire has a pseudo recoil compared to how there's no vertical aiming.

I'm a sucker for stylized games like this. It's a bonus that it's fun to see what the weapon wheel pops up with next.

As an aside, windows defender was throwing flags over this build but it's a false alarm, game's fine if anyone else was having that issue. It's a consequence of the export setting where Godot builds everything into one .exe file. https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/45563#issuecomment-1439149294

i go pew pew but i pew pew left and right too fast, ya know?

I really like the idea, and the guns were all really unique to use. Only complaint is that there is no sensitivity meter. Would like to see this game revamped after the game jam

Really like the art style

Developer

Thanks! AvengeDog went all out on the assets, and we're glad to see it didn't go unnoticed!

Can't get it to run, but the screenshots look super cool! I'm getting error 0xc0000142

Developer(+1)

We're really sorry to hear that, we've seen the issue on some machines due to a file/exporting error on my part, and as far as we know there's no post-deadline changes even for something game breaking like this, our deepest apologies from the whole team.

It worked after you sent me the build w a fixed export, I had fun with it! The visual presentation is kickass, obviously, well executed and a good match for the Wolfenstein-style 3D, and the concept is strong and fits the theme of the jam well.

My only real issues with the game are that there was no way to adjust the mouse sensitivity so it was way too high for me (got used to it tho) and that the gun didn't switch modes often enough imo, sometimes you just get stuck with an ill-fitting gun for the situation and while that can be fun I wish the gun switching got triggered after just a kill or two so it was more like a curveball and less like a potential death sentence. I was also missing some sort of punchy hitsound and maybe a different sound for when enemies are killed, but that's polish stuff and totally understandable if there wasn't time.

All in all though, I had a blast kiting enemies around and exploring all the different gun types! I didn't run into any bugs and enjoyed the music, y'all did a really good job on this one!

All the enemies were invisible for some reason so I had fun tracing the projectile sourse.

Can't experience late game, though.

We're very sorry to hear that you experienced this issue! But it's good (if not a tad funny) to hear you were able to find some kind of fun through our technical error! When it comes to the error, if I may ask, what were the specs of the hardware you were running the game on? I'm not sure if we can do anything about it now that the jam deadline is up, but I would still like to squash the issue for future reference!

Amazing art and fun weapons, nothing more to say other than great job!

Developer

We're really glad you enjoyed it, nothing more to say than thanks for playing! haha

Absolutely bursting with personality big fan of the retro comic aesthetic, the gun modes are really fun and very unique. would have loved to see a bit more of the level things like obstacles, cover and some verticality. Really cool game!!

Developer(+1)

Awesome to hear man, we're all really glad to see you enjoyed our game! AvengeDog went all out on the game's "Jack Kirby" style, and we're glad to see people appreciate it as much as we do! When it comes to the level design, I would have definitely liked to have been able to implement more, among features like health drops and some form of buffs/scaling, but we're really happy with what we were able to accomplish in the time we had!
Thanks for playing!

Art and aesthetic is so sick bro! There are also some really cool modes and they work really well in the world. The map admittedly feels a little boring but the artstyle really make up for it. It feels a bit easy and the difficulty ramp up is a little slow though that's really my own taste so take that with a grain of salt. Well done I think this is super well done!

Developer

We really appreciate the feedback! When it comes to the map feeling a little boring, would you say it was a more visual or gameplay issue on that front?
We're really glad that you enjoyed our game, we're all very proud of what we were able to accomplish!
Thanks for playing!
