How does your game represent Mode?
We tried to implement the theming of Mode by having the player swap between a Dodging mode and a Shooting mode. We tried to make both playstyles distinguished with a clear mode change in-between.
The boss is also named after a la mode meaning ice cream on top, which is where the theming of the game comes from.
**Unfortunately we could not get the correct resolution (which makes the game a lot harder) or the audio to work, and it was having issues uploading :( If you're interested in playing with SFX and music separate from voting or after voting ends, check out the game's page <3 **

I gotta play valorant after this one
That was really adorable, but tough Undertale-like! The shooting mode was especially difficult, but is likely just my reflexes that could be better. I really like the dodge mode, likely because of all the character the special attacks added (whereas in shooting mode it was just dots). Amazing job for getting what you were able to work in time, as I understand the stress and struggle of trying to making quick decisions to ship it in time.
The game is pretty, animations are nice and smooth, Unfortunately, the charging bar was in the middle of the screen, and the the dots were very hard to click on in shooting mode. Great job nonetheless !
Cool Undertale-style mechanics of mixing bullet hell with a character battle focus! Unfortunately, I never really got the hang of the shoot mode, though that's likely because of the issue that was described in the mode section of the page.
The animations for the enemy were impressively fluid in both modes. It's a shame the version which includes music couldn't be submitted since these types of games benefit so greatly from their soundtracks, but the visual presentation by itself is still quite nice!
lovely art, however I was not ready for a beat down.
Very nice, love the animation so much.
The art was top notice in this entry and the music was nice too. I loved the the dodging mode all the attack were easy to read. I wasn't the best at shooting mode but luckily I was still able to beat the boss. Also I loved that her crown was a ice cream cone on her head. Good job.
I love the art. and i love the dodging mode, very fun (although it is very toby fox-y lol). i suck at shooting mode though. i wish i could beat her but alas, i do not have good aim. great stuff!
Visuals and sound (played the updated version on the game page) were great, lots of nice game juice/game feel touches like the hit stop on the player and the hit animations on Dairy Queen. Theming was also great (even if it is very reminiscent of a certain indie RPG 😉).
Gameplay wise I really enjoyed the bullet hell stuff; in particular I love it when games make use of graze as a mechanic, it's a criminally underused mechanic. I don't usually like acceleration for movement in these types of games but here it's just subtle enough that it helps smooth out player movement moreso than make it floaty. Great job with controller/rigidbody tuning.
I think my only gripe is the circles in shoot mode are really small: my suggestion would be to make them a little bigger, alternatively increase the circle indicator (the larger circle that closes in on the main one) to be bigger so it can be seen with peripheral vision.
overall great job
The theming and art were really great! The gameplay in dodge mode was smooth and fun to play, though the instructions for shoot mode went up so fast that I didn't get a chance to read them the first time. The shooting circles also spawned really far apart for me, making it tough to click them.
Fantastic work on the art and animations, everything looks great! The dodge mode gameplay was super smooth and I love the impact effect when you take damage. I initially found shooting mode really frustrating, but I realized I was just running into what I assume is the resolution issue you mentioned in the description. I have a 4k monitor and the targets evidently didn't scale correctly because they were extremely small, but forcing my screen resolution to be lower made them a much more reasonable size
Man I couldn't beat this one! Very cool I an see the strong inspirations from undertale and you've done incredibly well to make it FEEL like it was straight out of Undertale. A few notes, I wish there was some music and sound it would have gone a long way expecially how Undertale heavily goes hard on it. The shoot mode is also kinda super difficult and I couldn't find many chances at all to hurt the queen. Also the shoot bar is like in the direct center and makes it hard when i wanna dodge that way.
Otherwise Art is super awesome and impressive, the phases are super well done and I the game feels smooth. Well done!
This was a fun one, I didn't think I would be able to beat it but I kept trying and ultimately won, that was satisfying.
Sorry to hear about the audio issues. Fortunately the drawings are animated so well that you can almost hear the sound effects in your head when you play. The art is really unique and appealing.
The hardest part of the game for me was switching between dodge mode and shoot mode, but you get used to it the more you play. One thought I had while playing was "what if I could shoot these ice cream clusterbombs with the mouse in dodge-mode, that way I'd be more warmed up when I enter shoot mode." Overall, great game and a great take on undertale-style combat.
The art style is really cool! The theme is also really well implemented with the switching modes. Game was difficult but still very fun.

the art style is so nice! I also found shooting mode quite difficult, however dodging mode was super fun! overall a great game :D
The art and animation is great but there was no sound. Might be a skill issue but it feels a bit too hard, especially the shooting mode.
