How does your game represent "Power"?
in POWER OF LOVEBALL, you dabble against the forces of physical power (red), electrical power (yellow), political power (green), and of course, the most important power of all. The power of love!

Each type of power has a unique mechanism behind it that aims to represent the type of power as best we could.

That's so funny. Took me a second to figure it out, I thought I was just bad hahaha. But now I am the rizz master!

Developer

You just had to find the rizz within your soul. Thank you for playing!

Submitted

This game really makes you feel like a rizz master

Developer

that's because you are. Lamp woman DLC perhaps?

Submitted

The polish on this game is fantastic! Soundtrack, character art, FX, overworld, all of it makes for a really complete experience. Really like the interpretation of the theme here too, very cool and unique take. My main critique is that I found it pretty frustrating to have to respawn every time I accidentally splash damaged a red guy while he hopped erratically, especially when I'd then have to wait for platforms align again. But I did find the direct hit rizzing effect very satisfying. Overall this was a great entry, nice work!

Developer

Ah. There is a secret where if you press R, you place a respawn point. This secret is now revealed on this comment and on this comment only. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

I comment away in obscurity, your secret is safe with me. Also that one point didn’t stop the overall experience from shining, great work again!

ENJOYMENT++

This is a super cool combo of ideas! The art is fantastic and the game is very polished. For whatever reason, I somehow assumed I wasn't able to move in the platforming stage and was trying to rizz everyone via bluetooth for a good 30 seconds haha. Awesome mesh of mechanics, well done!

Developer

Wireless rizz? The new method? Thank you so much!!

Submitted

Wowzers. Combat, dialogue, graphics, sound, all top notch. Loved playing through this and rizzing up all sorts of babes, too bad I had to break their hearts 😎

Developer(+1)

appreciate it so much. your rizz was just too strong.

Submitted

my time in the rizz mines has benefited me, and adorned me a habibigirl plus associated polycule

Developer

hell yeahhhhhh!!!!

yesssss love the music, love the art, love the action levels juxtaposed with the sassy vn boss fights. this is really awesome (and a ton for a 1-week jam), great work!

Developer

thank you so much! that is awesome of you

I am the rizz master!

I only had to die due to splashing the red guys 100s of times!

Developer

lol you live and learn. thanks for playing!

Submitted

They call me the rizzler for a reason. Lovely game with great art. The shooting and platforming mechanics did feel a little finicky, and I didn't really understand why you die when you miss the ball while being close to an enemy. Overall, I think this made for a fun game though!

Developer

red enemies can only be hit directly, if you hit them with the splash, they kill you. this would've been more clear if we had a bit more time. but im very happy you had fun!

Submitted

Great art and polish but.. pls add coyote time :( the story is really funny and i really enjoyed it!

Developer

glad you enjoyed it! sorry no coyote time lol. but i hope it didn't hinder your fun too much.

Submitted(+1)

it was kinda a problem since i didnt know how to aim the ball you shoot and thought in the first level you have to platform, didnt hinder it that much tho really enjoyed the rizz segments or well the bosses

Developer

you can aim the ball with your mouse movement :)

Submitted(+1)

found that out after the struggling to get 1 specific lil guy!

Submitted

Not much into visual novels, but this mix was really cool.

Developer

glad you suffered through the cringe i wrote, this was my big evil plan.

"Great work Rizz Master!

Great art, your game is both funny and interesting, it's cool that this game is both a dating sim and a platformer. All parts look and feel polished. I'm not a fun of using the mouse to draw while platforming but that may be just personal preference, it didn't effect how fun the game was though.

Developer

thank you, i appreciate it. you are going to rizz all over the place now.

Submitted

I like the music!

Developer

thank you!

Submitted

Nice visuals and music, really liked it! Also cute story :) The shooting-platformer part was a bit tough for me, but I'm glad the level didn't restart every time :)

Developer

thanks! that is nice to hear.

Submitted

Gameplay in this one is really fun! The music and art also gel really well together, nice work!

Developer

Thanks! Much appreciated.

Submitted

really great music, sfx, and the powerball felt pretty satisfying. im thankful the level doesnt restart when you die because I died a lot. I liked the actual dating dialogue options, sounds like whoever wrote them actually does have rizz.

Developer

I can assure you, i have zero rizz. Perhaps an otherworldly rizzy being took over my body and wrote the dialogue.

Submitted

The controls, graphics and music work very well together! One of the most addictive games out here.

Developer(+1)

Wow, nice. Thank you!

my orb go bwoowoowoo
excellent particle work and sound design especially!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the bwoowoos

A very interesting blending of genres... I couldn't quite tell what one stage had to do with the other, would have been cool to see a score in the stage tie in with the difficulty of winning the bosses over, but it was still a really neat experience

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Appreciate the feedback.

i rizzed them all up. great concept with the different attack conditions on the enemies.

loved the art and especially the soundtrack, it felt very polished.

Developer

thank you, glad you like it!
