Very good design. Some of the levels was a little bit difficult complete. More player feedback would help a lot!

Developer

Ye, levels were eventually pretty aimed towards our own skill just to reach a deadline- a more complete version of the game would’ve probably gotten a better curve but were still pretty happy with how good the flow feels still

happy to hear you enjoyed our little game!!

I assume this would feel amazing to speedrun, but I so appreciate the ability to slow everything down to a crawl and take my time making decisions! Boss was epic, music went hard, and the art is extremely pleasing. Outstanding work all around!

Developer(+1)

we were planning on adding a speedrun timer for overall and every level but oh well.. (maybe after the jam?!)

glad to hear you liked my art! And the game overall ofcourse :D

Awesome game, very slick. Love the art and music. Very unique gameplay.

Developer

we were aiming for slickness and feeling powerful. Glad to hear we delivered!

Submitted

Really solid game, the only thing I'd improve is the readability of the boss. (can't tell when to hit him)

Developer

yep, the boss is def a pain point. Originally we had plans of making her a lot more interesting and readable but due to time constraints we couldnt really

happy to hear you found the game good!

Submitted

Insanely fun game, I almost can't believe you guys did it in a week!

Developer

Lion really worked his butt off dealing with me delivering so many animations haha, probably

Really happy to hear you liked the game. We really tried cramming as much out of the concept as we could

Submitted

pure dopamine, it reminds me of playing sonic mania for the first time for some reason. also you do such a good job of walking the player through explaining mechanics and the levels are so well designed. another favorite from this jam

Developer(+1)

GO GO GO GOOOO!!!

Happy to hear you liked it :D

Very complete game for a jam, there's a really solid core mechanic, really cool levels that have you using the mechanic in really creative ways, great presentation. Overall very cohesive game, one of my favorites for sure!

Developer

such praise! Thank you so much!!

I was very much aiming for making the art really fit with the gameplay and theme, and very happy to hear that worked out!

Next level sound design :0

Developer

Jake did great work on that front! Happy to hear you liked it :D

Submitted

this was insanely cool. amazing pixel art and the gameplay was super satisfying! especially once you learn how to dash off of enemies

Developer

thanks for the kind words! Happy to hear you liked the artwork I did!!

I think LionYawn did a great job of programming the gameplay- it indeed feels sooo GOOD

Submitted

This is really polished, art and music look great and the gameplay is really fun and satisfying! Good stuff!

Developer

thanks for the kind words!! We’re pretty happy with it ourselves too

Submitted

wow, that dash is super satisfying

Developer

you could almost say the game is “dashing”

It's not always I get to play a puzzle game that is also very badass! You guys did an incredible job on this game, the levels are very intuitive and the puzzle solving/hacking and slashing is so slick. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Yes, feeling badass was a pretty high priority for me as the artist. Originally me and the programmer couldn’t decide on an idea- but we eventually picked his idea but altered it by using my art direction concept. It definitely really worked out because the game feels very smooth and slick because of lamp man I think!

thanks so much for playing!

first game i played to rate and WOW, what a standard it set. beautiful art, great music. the gameplay is unique and fun. and the JUICE, so much juice. i love the slow-mo, the consecutive enemy kills, the smooth animations. aaah, so good.

Developer(+1)

I feel honored lmao

Thanks Pijin dude!!

Submitted

super fun with amazing presentation i loved how you implemented slo mo when defeating enemies and the dashes were fun to hit some stuff took some trial and error but otherwise it was great!!

Developer

yep, it’s pretty trial and error haha. But me and LionYawn are big fans of games like that such as Katana Zero so that definitely seeped into the game.

thanks for playing!!

Submitted

Really satisfying mix of puzzle solving and action. The slow-mo chain kills feel amazing, and I love all the little stylish touches, especially the inter-level animation. Great work!

Developer

me and LionYawn are both big fans of games like these, but the concept grew more puzzle like the further it was developed. It was a pretty big top priority to make you feel powerful too!

Thanks a lot for playing!

dashing

Developer

indeed my fellow Dutch man

Submitted

It's a good concept, quick gameplay, and it oozes with style. You did good work!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for the nice words!

Submitted

Love it! finished the game. The art style is realllyyyy goood. gameplay is well designed.  Was a bit confused by the last boss by how he's defeated but once you figure it out it was just simple lol.

Developer

Thank you so much! Was really fun working on this games art- I’m a sucker for the 90-degree top down and did multiple games in the perspective but this time I was going for a bit smaller sprites then usual and also picked a palette I really dig lately (first seen in a different game called Thorn for another jam). I also practiced limiting my colors and I think it worked out great.

yes, the boss was pretty rushed, and originally was gonna be entirely different but oh well lol.

thanks a lot for playing!!

Submitted

It's really polished, and the idea is unique and fun! You can get stuck in a negative feedback loop of being too slow to reach a new power source, but it doesn't feel unfair, rather that I didn't solve the puzzle in the right way. The only criticism I could bring up is that the final boss feels a little underwhelming, especially given the difficulty of those red-level magnet enemies. Thanks for sharing this excellent game!

Developer(+1)

yeee, we are aware of the negative feedback loop (hence short but sweet levels) and the boss was rushed haha.

Thank you so much for playing our game! Glad you enjoyed it ;)
