33 seconds before the deadline. Wow that was a close call! I can tell that you had to cut lot's of thing due to time constraints. Game is visually looking good. I especially like the levels. But i couldn't see it upclose to judge the quality of graphichs more accurately bcs there was no fullscreen mode. Boss fights are very straightforward and simple. I think only the first and the last boss have phase 2. Btw last boss is just a color swap of the first boss. His attack patterns, everything is the same, only different model. 

There was a cool cutscene after the first fight but no cutscenes for the rest of the game. Game just drops you somewhere like the purgatory(I think this is inspired by Hades)when you die or win the fight. I don't understand what happened there. I know that this is a story related thing but there is no presentation. 

When you finish the game, there's only default Unity skybox on screen. No ending cutscene or anything like that. I think you ran out of time before adding those. In one of the bosses i think it was Vort or something like that, if you walk to rightmost part of the screen it takes you directly to next fight, i think that's a bug. During the last boss fight, boss stops following you when you go past the stone wall on the left. It just stands there and you can easily kill it with arrow spamming. 

I think you probably get too ambitious beyond your experience and overscoped. That prevented you from completing the game and polishing it. As it happens to most people in game jams. But still despite all it's flaws, there's good basis for a game here. Especially artistically i think you did a fine job. Comparing to the games i have played in this jam, i think an overall 3/5 is fair rating for this one. I appreciate your hardwork and passion for game development. Wish you the best of luck!

Good job! Will come and play it more thoroughly, trying to get through a basic test run and at least give it a try! Trying to get to everyone I can!

Hey there, I am trying to get other to re-submit their reviews for my game if possible...it was deleted and removed from the Jam on accident based on a technicality which was solved between the Jam Host and a particular asset used in the game...please if you have time, energy, and/or generosity to re-saved your ratings/reviews for the game. The visuals of the game are amazing. And having voice acting? That's just incredible, props for that. Overall, the game is really polished, the art is great, and the bosses and levels are all pretty different and unique, I finished and enjoyed it, overall a pretty nice game, good job!

Thank you kindly :)  We wish we managed to get in more boss mechanics still but ran a bit out of time haha! We had a really talented concept artist so she went to town on all the different designs and I am glad others think the same!

This game was great i had fun figuring out the enemy move set dodging and attacking when they were open.  As many others have noted the voice over work was well done and is always a pleasant addition. good job and good luck

Wow the voice acting really took this to another level, love what you all did! The art and style is also amazing. FPS  did drop quite a bit for me though unfortunately!

This looks so cinematic. The intro and first battle are very cool looking.
I know what happened to the rest of the game, we all have been there.
But good job anyway, this game looks beautiful.

The gameplay was highly engaging, with great voice acting and cool boss design. However, I encountered some issues with the camera, particularly during the Duarteuse encounter, where it gets obstructed by the walls when I move to the side. Despite this, the fight itself is enjoyable, and the attack delays feel balanced. Great job!

I liked this game, the voice acting was great and the boss was good, I could see time was not on your side with the second boss but this game was great, I loved so much about it

the animations were quite good. I like it a lot. the game feel was also nice. the movement was a little soapy. the boss attacks were kinda a cool and what made them even cooler was the animations and effects. Voice acting in a game jam is kinda rare but this game had it . Overall Great Work

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, only the first boss was completed in time (and even then still required some tweaking), and we had voice lines recorded for the whole way through but 1 month is just not enough time!! Bit off more than we could chew for this one I think haha. We will be patching the game over the next month or so to get it to what we envisioned, so be sure to check back later when the character and bosses have a lot more depth, and the story goes past the first boss!

You know what this game has potential, maybe u can release it for mobile, these graphics and game feel will fit there.

I found a way to cheese the fights:
1 - I walk close to boss
2 - wait for its telegraphed attack,
3 - I dodge the attack and end up on its back
4 - I hit it
5 - Do it on loop until boss is dead

I would love to change weapons with my mouse's scroll wheel

I dont get the pallace/hall of pillars scene after I win a fight.


Besides that, it's an overall well done game.

Incredibly impressive character animations, and the fact that you have voice acting in a jam game is next level. I would recommend trying to tighten up the feel of the character's movement and attacks, at the moment they are a bit sluggish. But overall, incredibly ambitious work!

Loved the story an voice acting, that was fun. Dodge felt nice, some responsiveness issues, wished I could roll sooner after attack, made me have to play super defensive which got repetitive. Nice work though!

Game was pretty fun and straightforward. Boss felt pretty repetitive after a while since you just dodge then attack a lot of the time. Loved the story and animations though.

good design of bosses and locations. But since the bosses only have one attack, the gameplay suffers despite the good movement.There are not enough sounds

Time was our greatest enemy in this one sadly xD  We have more animation attacks for every boss but only managed to flesh out Maddox properly but we plan on adding them in after the voting period and more content!  Thank you for the feedback :)

Like the setting and some bosses designs, good voice acting and responsive controls. Gameplay feels hella repetative and bosses actually becoming more easy as they go, lack off music on fights feels a little dissapointing...
But non the less, great jod guys!

Thanks so much for the feedback :)  We ran out of time sadly so only got to polish up one of the bosses! Also with the music we had our first musician cancel on us and our second got hospitalized the poor thing so a series of unfortunate events sadly but we plan on patching with all the not added content and variances for the bosses!

The game looks very cool and has lots of interesting designs. Nice mocap animations. However the combat gets old  a little too fast, very basic. But nice work, would love to see a version of this with more interesting mechanics and a bit more depth to the combat, it has a lot of potential.

We plan on releasing again after the jam so thank you for the kind words :)  We have a lot of content made that didn't make it in because of time restraints but really keen to get this polished up!
