33 seconds before the deadline. Wow that was a close call! I can tell that you had to cut lot's of thing due to time constraints. Game is visually looking good. I especially like the levels. But i couldn't see it upclose to judge the quality of graphichs more accurately bcs there was no fullscreen mode. Boss fights are very straightforward and simple. I think only the first and the last boss have phase 2. Btw last boss is just a color swap of the first boss. His attack patterns, everything is the same, only different model.
There was a cool cutscene after the first fight but no cutscenes for the rest of the game. Game just drops you somewhere like the purgatory(I think this is inspired by Hades)when you die or win the fight. I don't understand what happened there. I know that this is a story related thing but there is no presentation.
When you finish the game, there's only default Unity skybox on screen. No ending cutscene or anything like that. I think you ran out of time before adding those. In one of the bosses i think it was Vort or something like that, if you walk to rightmost part of the screen it takes you directly to next fight, i think that's a bug. During the last boss fight, boss stops following you when you go past the stone wall on the left. It just stands there and you can easily kill it with arrow spamming.
I think you probably get too ambitious beyond your experience and overscoped. That prevented you from completing the game and polishing it. As it happens to most people in game jams. But still despite all it's flaws, there's good basis for a game here. Especially artistically i think you did a fine job. Comparing to the games i have played in this jam, i think an overall 3/5 is fair rating for this one. I appreciate your hardwork and passion for game development. Wish you the best of luck!
