Faboulously stylish game! Shadow puppet style art looks absolutely gorgeus. Animations are very good too. Fights take too long to finish maybe you did that because there are only three fights. Exchanging stats between fights doesn't have muh of a point i think but it makes the game fit the theme. Like the music and sound effects. Each boss have 2 phases i think. Boss AI is pretty good.
A good game mostly with it's artistic side but gameplay is fun as well. Great job!

Thank you. That was one of the games I drew inspiration from.
The visual are nice, I really like the animation for the characters. The music and sound are really cool too. The gameplay are interesting, I like how you can do different combo depends on the order of the atttacks.
The bosses are nice, I like how each of them have some special attacks in the middle of the fight. Tho I feel like it is way too easy to stagger bosses, which makes them not able to attack you most of the time beside when they do their special attacks.
But still, cool game!

Some strange power scale in this game) First it's some kind of alien grunt, then the lady with the Megaman cannons, and then just a random dude in boxers.... well, when I say it now it's doesn't sound so strange.
Exchanging all my speed to health after the first boss was really funny) I'ne became a full on grappler on the second stage, the megamen lady couldn't stand a chance. The kicks are too strong, you can just chainstugger enemies in the corner most of the time and on the other hand blunderbuss that we have are relatively weak compared to invuln grabs, fast punches and kicks.
But the vibe of the game and it's surreal aesthetic really build's up an interesting experience, that's for sure.
I had to lower the gun's strength and use the longer animation to avoid spamming (which you can still do, and then that led to adding in some invulnerable attacks for the bosses and I just kept going). There's some balancing to do, but I'm glad you found it interesting. Thank you!
Also, I originally wanted only monsters/creatures, but after the first one, I decided to switch to have more interesting characters because they're just silhouettes.
Holy moly so many unique attack animations! I was mashing, but boy was it fun to mash and see what combos my guy did :P -- I couldn't figure out how the defense worked (not if my blocks were actually blocking anything and I couldn't figure out how to break a grab when a boss grabbed me). Also interesting how the game gets progressively harder over time, kinda reminded me of Sifu. Good work!
Thanks a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I haven't had the chance to play Sifu but I watched a lot of videos while trying to make this game. I kept pushing off adding proper block animations until it was too late but I'll fix that in a post jam update. And there's no way to break grabs but I'll consider that. Thanks again.
Very inresting and creative use of the theme, also loved the art style and the music. Did feel like the bosses were a little to easy though, they could be defeated just by spamming punch and kick. Overall though well done!

Ngl I was able to cheese the whole thing just with the combo kicks and grabbing constantly jaja, but the concept here for the exchange was really interesting, the art style is good and in general the moves are really flashy and it's quite the spectacle!! Nice job ^^
