A quick and simple game! The controls were fine and the premise was interesting. Though, it certainly needs a bit more polish, maybe make the pixel size more consistent and add some particles. The bosses were simple and predictable, yet required some good timing. Nice job!

Cool setting for a game. The gameplay was quite nice, although I feel there wasn't enough feedback for hitting a boss as well as taking damage as the player.
The backgrounds are very nice looking. The boss designs are interesting. I like the mix-up of attacks with punching and kicking, although I wasn't too sure what the exact difference was and just spammed them both.
The green boss with the volcano background was able to pin me in a corner. I feel that the player should be able to pass through bosses on a platformer like this. In other games of a similar nature that I've played, they've also done it where you can pass through a boss but you take damage and knockback; although, that's obviously a lot more work.
The whole swapping weapons things is a very cool theme idea. I didn't really understand how to use the weapons though; sometimes they'd work, sometimes they wouldn't. Also, I feel that there were too many attack options: punching, kicking, throw, and special. However, for a larger scale game this may work as you could introduce them one or two at a time.
The SFX were a bit lacking but the music was nice it set a good atmosphere.
Overall, a good entry.
Great pixel art, creepy atmosphere, and cool boss designs! I found the control scheme a little uncomfortable though. And I would recommend condensing the attacks into fewer moves. The punch seemed a bit slow to be useful, and the long cooldown on the throw meant I usually forgot to use it. The jump is also a bit too floaty, making it difficult to avoid attacks while in the air. But overall, really great work!
Good game! There are a lot of boss fights, and they have a good variety of attack patterns. There is also good variety in the Levels & Character designs.
Really cool entry, I found the controls a bit difficult as I'm not used to that control scheme (I wish we could have used W to jump and had the special attack key closer to the other attacks) BUT the controls were all very fast and responsive, the whole thing feels very slick and it was genuinely satisfying beating the bosses.
Absolutely love the aesthetic and the environment, really strong. Especially the entry sequence, fantastic.
I found the best strategy for almost all the bosses to be dash in - triple kick - dash away - repeat. I wish you made the weapons stronger, since it was always cool to get one, but any time i tried to use them instead of doing the above I'd just take damage and go back to my dashing triple kick strat. Also was there any significant reason to use punch over kick or vice versa? I wish you differentiated them more, give the player a really good reason to use punch and a really good reason to use kick, they felt very interchangable.
For the second boss I wish the homing missle wouldn't follow you after you jump over it. As it stands, the only way I could figure out to deal with it was to run to the other side of the map, which just felt lame to not be able to do anything for 5 seconds.
Could use some more juice, add more screenshake, particle impacts for attacks, stuff like that.
My biggest critique is your control scheme. Maybe there are a bunch of games with a similar control scheme but if there are I don't play any of them, so it's extra unnatural for me. Forcing both of my hands to be on the keyboard is bad enough, but having the most important ability (dash) be on shift instead of somewhere my right hand can reach feels like a slap in the face, after specifically forcing my hand to be on the keyboard. Please at least add an option involving the mouse buttons and E,F, R, T, G, or 12345 for abilities, my muscle memory was about to commit suicide :(
Besides that, beating each boss felt very rewarding. Barely dashing past the edge of the enemys blade felt awesome, and the boss designs were very cool. If I had an option for setting my own keybinds, or could use my right hand on my mouse anyways, I'd love to play through this again.
Thank you for such constructive feedback, I really appreciate it.
A post jam update will include an option to set your own keybinds, better vfxs, better UI elements and some player attacks balancing which will enhance the difference between kick and punch and some tweaks regarding the special attacks.
Really fun bosses. Well done making the fight feel harder as the bosses life went down. Sound meshed well with the top notch visuals too.
The sound was the best part for me. I might have appreciated a little more flashiness in the player character attacks, but the movement was solid, and the visual aspect was also pretty well executed.
This game is actually pretty fun! It felt a little wild at first but the combat grew on me as I was playing. Champion was def my favorite fight, I was usually kicking since I could get more damage in but champion had a very tight punish window so I had to change my strategy to use the punch as I could only deal one hit per punish anyway! It felt really good beating him and I love it when he goes "WOH". However The Last Fallen was a bit too much for me. But overall very nice work I had a lot of fun with this one! Consider playing our entry (:
Quite a unique control scheme, but it works okay once you get used to it. The art is good with the bosses having some cool designs.
Couldnt get passed the Champion, but the moves from all bosses looked quite different one from the other and the enviroments look nice, good job!
Great theme idea, the pixel art was great as well. Some screenshake and additional polish would add so much.
