Game's Take on the Theme
One of the enemy's attack is spin

Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
I made the whole game but my twin brother helped my with the codes so it's made by two people. He let me use his codes.

The staircase defeated me.

I really liked the idea of having to find the bosses' weak spots, as well as the concept of the tower itself. However, I think there should be some restriction on skipping bosses and running straight to the next floor. It might also help to add attack animations, as I wasn’t sure if I was even hitting anything until I finally defeated the first boss. The lack of sound is also noticeable, but that’s just a matter of development time.

I hope you don’t abandon this project after the jam and continue to develop your idea because it has great potential!

As for the staircase incident — it happened on the floor with the dirt golem. I tried to go back down to the previous floor, but the golem stood right in front of the stairs. Because of the hand’s collision, I couldn’t climb back up. Again, this could be fixed by restricting movement between floors during boss fights.

I like the visuals a lot, I dont have a powerful computer to run at full speed but I like the look and feel of the game, makes the player really want to be in this world, the mechanics are nice too. I rate graphics, control, mechanics and fun more but all is cool, also, if you have some time, please rate my game too, thanks!!!

Very fun idea! I think maybe the scope was too big, but it's still a really good idea! 🌻🖤

I like the environments and the cutscene is pretty cool.

I ran up the tower and jumped on all the pillars and collected all the eyeballs! I think i beat it? wasn't sure how to attack the minions coming up, i just ran past them lol. Cool game, congrats on submission, feel free to try ours if you like!

All things considered those cinematic shots are pretty great. Eye fight was cool too I like how parkour was involved, kinda felt like the ender dragon.

Great start and I'm sure with more time and more game jams you will improve a lot!

You know, for what it's worth.  I really appreciate the boss intros you gave!  It looked like you had some good ideas here and it's always good to learn from each project you make; finished or unfinished! :>

I see what you wanted to make... but like... you had 7 more days to make it according to the upload date... It just wasnt ready.

Cutscenes when entering bosses were quite a cool idea. Similar to other commenters, less bosses with more polished encounters would do well, keep it up.

Good work with the camera and level designing. My main feedback would be, that you should have concentrated on short working prototype first. Sure, you have 9 bosses, but what's the point, if player can't die and can skip them? So you could make 1 boss fight first: make it so player can defeat the boss and boss can kill the player; make so player can't skip the boss fight, until player defeated the boss; add music and sound. Then this 1 boss fight can provide much better gameplay experience.

The first step to success is trying. I think you know there are issues with this and it isn't a complete game, but for the positives I think you had a good concept with the tower and the battles going to the top, and the way you tried to implement the cut scenes was sensible and would work in a complete game well. Maybe for the next jam, start with a smaller, simple scope for the game.

I wasn't sure how to defeat bosses, but the most entertaining moment from playing game jam games happened here. I'm not sure how the first boss was intended to go down, but I got caught between his legs so I just started jumping...up him...and that defeated him!
