All animations are very good and fluid. The boss fights are very good and frenetic.

Developer

Thank you for playing! :>

Really enjoyed the game. The combat was simple and intuitive! Loved the visual as well! Monkey go brrr

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  I'm glad the gameplay was intuitive enough :>

Damnnn this one is so good, the combat feels responsive and fair, love the parry system, the execute is a great touch and feels super satisfying. Also a great tutorial.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  I'm glad the combat landed well with you and that the tutorial was clear :>

I really like the graphics, its crazy cool and stylish, I like the mechanics, it works so well, I find the game very organic, I rate graphics, contorl, fun and music the most but all is good really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!

Thank you so much for playing!  The second boss is definitely a tough one! :>

I love it, one of the hardest things about games like these is getting the controls right but it's such a dream to play despite so much going on.

I love parry systems but sometimes they can feel a bit laggy or the timing for them is too long or too short but this is exactly right.

Really really cool game and I'd buy and play a bigger version. Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  I'm really glad that the controls were nice and responsive for you :>

Very Polished and fun game! Parries feel really satisfying to hit! The graphics are all really fun to look and the effects are really satisfying!

(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you can rate and leave some feedback on my game! This is my first ever jam and I'd love to see where I can improve for the future!)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  I'm glad you liked the art :>

very polished game. I got a time of around 5:28.
I don't have a lot to say. this is really well done. maybe some more applications of the theme of SPIN would be nice.

I like that you can execute defeated bosses again lol.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  Yeah, this could have definitely used more spin but I'm pretty proud of what I got with this game!  And I left the execution on defeated bosses intentionally for the fun of it ;D

Yeah, I just finished it, my time is 6:38:09. The attack combo is awesome, and parry and finisher are very cool, and the hit impact and hit stop are really well implemented! I think it will be more awesome if the movement and combo speed can be faster. It's really fun, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing!  Some combo variety would be neat :>

Great game, parries felt satisfying, the art was very cute, movement was great so where the finishes and combat!
dont have many pointers
nice work!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  I'm glad you had fun :>

Really enjoyed how this was tutorialised. Made even the more boring aspects of some games look really fun. The game itself was well polished too.

Developer

Thank you for playing!  I'm glad the tutorial was easy to digest :>

The tutorial is really intuitive and the bosses are very varied, 6:30 for my part (No idea if it’s good or not, but if you’ve got a timer it’s probably best to share it)!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing!  What matters is that you managed to finish the game! :>

Uh… uh… where’s the spin?

Developer

Hahaha.  The spin is implemented more on a visual manner with the bosses rather than the gameplay mechanics.  Definitely not the most creative way to do so, though!

This game is beautiful, amazing job on the art!! The world feels very alive and the consistent art style helps build a very immersive world. The animations are very well done and add a ton of juice to the game, I especially liked the players combo string animation with the banana it looks great. The movement is pretty satisfying but I wish the jump had just a bit more height. The parry system is pretty fun but needs some more visual indicators, sometimes I had no idea whether I successfully parried an attack or not, and could only tell based on whether I lost a life or not. The tutorial is really well done and the dialogue with the flopping fish is pretty funny. I really enjoyed my playthrough but unfortunately got stuck on the armadillo boss and could not beat him. Adorable entry with fun mechanics and great bosses, nice entry!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing!  I'm glad you were able to get through the first boss :>

This game feels so mechanically excellent. I'm astonished you were able to dial it in like this in just a month.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  Yeah I spent most of this jam working on the gameplay mechanics and the last week and a half working on the boss AI and polish hahaha

This was a ton of fun! Adorable art style with great mechanics and controls and I love the parry system in this one too! The finisher attack was just a cherry on the cake :D Very well made game, I had a tiny bug with a cutscene where the boss was already attacking and cutscene showed air, but it seems very polished and had a lot of game feel to every action.

Developer

Thank you for playing!  I'm guessing the bug was from the second boss lol.  Thank you so much for the feedback!

This felt great to play, there's so much juice , the tutorial made it very was easy to pick up and everything generally flowed together nicely. Difficulty was on the easier side but honestly for a game jam that's perfectly fine, and the pb system helped scratch my itch for more of a challenge (best I could manage is 3:53:92). Very impressive game, it was a lot of fun! :)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!  Yeah I definitely wanted to make the game a little easier for the sake of the jam, so I made a timer in case people wanted to try and speed run the game :>
