Game's Take on the Theme
The theme was spin. We made a rogue like where you can buy seals (the ones from the bible not the cute water dogs) that rotate around the player and do actions on rotation. The shop and ceiling also spin as well as multiple bosses.
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Yes
If not, please link to any asset packs or resources used here.

Such a creative game! I think it's a little too short (maybe the original scope was too big), but it's super enjoyable! 🖤🌻
Thanks for giving it a play! I do wish we could have done more but I'm pretty happy with the 6 bosses we made.
Good sound effects, good visuals -I liked the dash as well. I liked having both melee and ranged options for combat, which I didn't see a lot of in this jam. Only problem I faced was optimization, it ran at like 15 fps to the very end. But I did manage to push through it, because there were difficulty options, so I went for easy. Good job!
Thanks for giving it a play! Sorry you had frame issues. Will definitely be fixing that ASAP!
I like how the shop is designed, and I think you have good ideas going. There just needs to be a lot more polishing of the controls and animations.
Have you played Nine Sols? There's a lot in your game that seems to have some shared DNA with that game, and I personally think it's one of the greatest games ever made. You have the skeleton of an interesting game here in terms of setting, and your scope is very grand. I think the one thing you should be weary of is juicing up the gameplay and adding a unique element to it, so that the scope can be backed by gameplay that's as interesting as the world and grandiose ambition behind the project. If the player is levitating, you can maybe have a unique movement system with some verticality to it. I also ran into a problem where if a boss runs into you while you're up against a wall you just can't escape and are stuck getting stunlocked and attacked until you die. But that aside, I have nothing but massive props for the scale of game you've managed to create and are planning to create here. Your vision seems incredibly strong, and if you can pull through on what you're envisioning, I think you could really create something special. Best of luck and great work!
Thanks so much for the kind words and helpful insight! I haven't played Nine Sols but I'll definitely look into it.
Sorry, I couldn't play the game because it's giving me a fatal error on my computer, but just by the design choice I imagine it's a good game!
Please rate our game too
That is odd. I haven't ran into that problem. Sorry that you were unable to play it :(
Of all the games I've played so far, this is my favorite boss arena. I ran a ranged attack build that I really enjoyed, and then played again with a melee build for comparison. The rubble falling from the ceiling is a really nice touch that kept me on my toes constantly. This was really fun! The shopkeeper looks incredibly cool and as a Hades fan I loved the shop UI of course. Really well done.
Thanks for checking it out! The arena was made by my friend Jon who's an architecture student and I think he did a great job especially for his first ever game related design. Your kind words are incredibly motivating!
Hey, I will not rate your game because it wouldnt be really fair, as its a little too heavy for the potato computer I have while traveling rn, lol. Good luck, the game looks great!
Sweet game with cool visuals, nicely added difficulty levels, and upgrades. Grats on submission and good luck!
I rated and submitted to return the favor of your rate submission of my game below!
- If others read this, RATE/REVIEW my game to get me to try yours as well! Thanks!
Thank you for playing! Good luck to you as well
I really liked that you added an element of free progression. It’s great that you managed to include multiple bosses, even though not all of them feel fully polished. Overall, this is a very cool game—excellent work!!
Nice one but I don't understand the red arrows under the enemies. That was kind of feeling weird and isn't 511 mb for the game a little much?
The red arrows are left over from development. They should have been removed but honestly I just got so used to them I forgot to remove them. It is a pretty big game for a game jam but I believe that is kinda unavoidable given the time. I used nanite and the standard compression which is all of the quick stuff I could think of to keep it low.
Oh, a very epic game. I love the setting you guys have given it, it's very immersive. I hope you continue working on it, because it's very promising. The boss behavior and attack patterns are very complicated to balance, but the challenge is very satisfying once you manage to overcome them. By the way, the store system between battles is very nice, it gives a lot of life to each battle. I add the game to my library to keep an eye out for future updates, improvements and remaining rings ;).
Thanks so much for playing and the kind words! We will be adding more stages and focusing on balancing a lot in the future!
I enjoyed the upgrade system as it was intuitive enough to pick up quickly! I was able to make a pretty decent low-health attack speed build lol. The combat and animations could use some work, but I had a good time overall!
Thank you for playing (your monkey game was fun as well). I agree the animations were all done in just a few days so they are a little rough around the edges.
Your game has so much potential and is really fun to play! It just needs a bit of final polish and optimization to make it even better. Please come and rate my duck game!
Thanks for giving it a play!
Will do!
it has so much potential . love it in any ways, i good final polish is in need. it was fun
Not bad, with some polishing can be a good game.
As others had said, it lacks optimization indeed. My poor pc almost couldn't handle the game!
On the other side, the game looks beautiful! Keep up the good work
Thanks for giving it a play! if you could share your computer specs that would be of big help (if you don't mind ofc). Seemingly higher end computers are struggling while lower end computers are running it fine often? I have a 1660 super gpu so not exactly a super computer and it runs well for me as well as other low end. I wonder what could cause this.
Good game with potential for good build combinations like the upgrades that increase dash recharge time but simply get the pact that removes your dash,
so hard but very fun
Some of the bosses might be a bit overtuned. Buying seals that synergize help a lot. Thanks so much for playing!
The game is beautiful, but lacks optimization, or atleast some sort of graphics settings.
Yeah I'm pretty new to unreal optimization. I think what I'll do is make an option which turns off the atmospheric light reflection because I think that's what causes some computers to struggle. Thanks for giving it a play! All the props to the look of the game goes to the 3D artists!
