I played it for wayy longer than I though I would, because I was having such a blast. Idk man  it just clicked with me. Thank you for making this!!! I'm  really rooting for this one. Your theme is spot on . Really just a nice fun game to play and have a good time.

You nailed the horror element, and honestly such a creative take on the theme. The difficulty is really well balanced. Good one bro!

The art is amazing here, the choice of colors is intentional which is just.... chef's kiss. Music is nice. I'm glad you included volume sliders for sfx and music. Only nitpick I have is the ballerina boss had some performance issues. I love the variety I have for weapons.

Great choice for music! I love jazz tunes. Having randomized weapon variety, it was a good mechanic. Play with the cards you're dealt with type of thing. Great use of camera as well, not an easy feat. I can see the love for Cuphead in this, which I really appreciate.

Loved the art! Loved the player character's animation.  I appreciate the double jump so much! It feels great, you nailed the jump, in sfx, animation, and in feel (physics and coding). My tip would be to don't shy away from making the player character overpowered, I might be biased because this is my favorite things in roguelike when I can get so overpowered. And if you wish to continue this project forward, the powerup will need descriptions haha! Hope you had fun making this.

This one needs more attention. I loved the animations of my little guy, my favorite one was the shooting animation. Bro the feel of like spinning around the asteroids is soooo good. You nailed that. It's the great simple fun game, and by simple I mean it in the best possible way. It fits the theme. It's not overly difficult. It fun to play. You have my vote!

(1 edit)

Right off the bat, I loved that you made sure that the projectile I deflected DO HIT THE BOSS. Thank you for that. I found it hard to do it consistently, like maybe the cooldown is a tad bit longer?, or boss telegraphs need more time? Because I'd love if I could pull of the deflect more frequently. Also side note, the crimes they committed made me laugh loved it!

Took me a little while to find out that you have to shoot the bosses weakpoints when they're down. Had a good run! Last fight was scary.  For me the bounds felt limiting tho, sometimes made the weakpoint harder to shoot. What I really loved was the inclusion of difficulty setting. Nice touch

This one oh my god! One, it's polished to perfection. Two, simple yet addictive (HOWWW) - Can I just talk about the laser charge mechanic, the closer you are the faster it charges up - I'd die defending that mechanic, perfect risk-reward play there. You nailed the theme, nailed the difficulty. My favorite one so far!!!

Ooohh the art, although text based games are not my type, good job!

I really appreciate the auto-fire mechanic, honestly such a great take on the theme - you nailed the orbit speeds, instant snappy direction changes. That made dodging a lot fun. I liked the goofy lore too, only complain I have is most of the time I didn't feel like I was damaging them?

I really the love approach you went for. There's definitely a learning curve here. Good game at the core, but needs a lot more work to take it to the next level.

also great tutorial

Landing attacks feels so nice. I'm glad you included a dash, because running felt a little slow. Voice acting was great touch! Loved sfx and music, but would've loved volume sliders in settings for them.. 2nd Boss made me dizzy, but that could've been just me.

this one is banger
