How does your game fit the theme?
You decend procedural levels with increasing difficulty fighting ancient undead kitties as a feline grave robber a.k.a Tom Raider

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code is from scratch or from previous projects we've made.

Art is 99% from scratch with th exception of some icons used in the tutorial.

Music is creative commons and most SFX from libraries. The cat meowing is voice acting tho :D

Had to mark you up by default (I'm a cat person). Great submission!. My only issue (and this was reaching) was the speed at which my cat took off from standing still, it would have felt better and more controllable if there was a ramp up on the intial speed boost - but again that was reaching.

I fully agree with you. WIth some playtesting I could have realized the game should have been slower. Also it's a matter of preference. Me personally I like REALLY thighg controls in games :D

The title is hilarious. I really love the concept of the game and the gameplay and movement is so smooth! The tutorial is excellent and the fact that it's almost all made from scratch, and the meowing is VO - amazing! I did encounter some bugs in my first instance of playing (couldn't move, some of the rewards were suspended mid-air) - but nothing that affects my perception of the game. Overall, I also agree with comments saying the platforms could be bigger, because the movement is so fluid that it's hard to stay atop them! Perhaps that's part of the fun though!

I think you're right I did have a note "Make the game slower" but then I just didn't for some reason. I think it's too fast for a gamejam game. I have no problem controlling it but i've been playing for a week :D

I think the resources propably float in mid air because they raycast down to see if there's a collider beneath them and if it's just within 0.001 then it won't fall down :D

Yeah I noticed you could cheese combat by clicking really fast. It didn't bother me in the least as that was not the point - the story and atmosphere was.

This is so far my fav game I played this jam. Responsive controls, and addictive loop. Fantastic job guys!

The gameplay is solid tho at a certain point the levels feel too small for the number of enemies but I feel like the worst thing about this game is the visual clash between textures with and without normal maps and the polygonal count being  inconsistent between objects of similar size.

Yes the art-style isn't terribly consistent as I'm not a professional artist while my friends are. The level art clashes a bit with the character art in terms of aesthetic. Personally I feel it also works as providing visual contrast between characters and environment.

I didn't feel consistant polygon or texel size was relevant in a gamejam game so we didn't sweat that too much, nor did we count polygons at any point really. Like some of the tiles are only 28 polygons while some are a bit more when they have some details. I couldn't say about the characters.

Nice designs and good difficulty curvature. I like the statistics at the game over. Also loved the cat-related theme haha And the background music fits really well and it's well balanced with the rest of the sounds. Cool game!

Thanks! I've Been worried that it's too hard for a GameJam game. Also I could do alot with The level generation If I just had Time. I wanted to add collectible treasures but simply ran out of Time ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Very fun and difficult! The enemy attack animations need a little more juice. It would be great if i could see an incoming attack and dodge.

Yeah, I had trouble implementing the animations for the enemy. I don't really know why as I  had no trouble with the player character. 

I guess any good GameJam game is a bit unpolished :D

The theme is fitting, the graphic and UI is great! but there're some minor issue with control, such as a lot of the time that you aim at the enemy, but the attack just missed, and in the later floor I ended up punching my way through the horde of enemy, with many being ranged one.

The graphics were purr-fect! I wish you got more ammo from killing the cats, because most of the time my weapon was empty. Overall a paw-some game!(sorry for the cat-astrophic cat puns :3)

You have no idea how much I appreciate a good cat-pun.  :D Yeah I think the game is a bit too hard for a game jam game. Like for me 3 bullets is a good drop so that I  run out if I miss alot but for someone who hasn't played it for a whole week it's propably a bit unfair :D

First off, that is a juicy gun, I tried making something like that, but couldn't get it quiet that juicy. Next up, the voice acting... I love it! The little, "meow!" as they get hit and die is adorable. I only made it up to 47 points, though with slightly improved controls, I think it would be easier to get further. I think the issue with the movement is that the tiles are at a 45 degree angle, but you move with regular up-down left-right movement, so changing up to be 45 degrees should fix that issue. Overall, great entry!

Loved the art,  sound and music were great! physics did got a bit wonky when you were on air after a knockback, but besides that felt like a solid and fun game

Thanks! In Hindesight perhaps should have Limited velocity in the air and some limited air control. The fact that you get flung up is intentional tho ๐Ÿ˜‚

Nice looking game, the force when u get hit is a bit too much and when you in the air (by hit) you can move at high speed. Overall I like the models, design and audio

Yeah The airtime is intentional, but you're right. There's no limit to The knockback so it can accumulate. You should have seen The Bugs I had while testing ๐Ÿ˜‚

I also think The WEBGL build lags a bit. The executable The controls are much thighter. Overall The game should have Maybe Been a bit slower.

The game is nice , I like the atmosphere and the 3D art, sometimes when you go dont' the player remains stuck on the borders but for the rest it is a very good entry.

Yeah you can also get stuck halfway through a tile โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚ Propably forgot to Set collisions to continues dynamic at some point ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I can easily get to like level 12 without thinking about it. But that's usually The problem. GameJam games should be super easy because I've Been playing for like a week ๐Ÿ˜‚
