The art is beautiful! And the graphics overall - in particular the light bouncing off the marine life looks very cool.

I like the art! great work!

Very impressive work for only a week long game jam! The gameplay was engaging and the art was absolutely phenomenal!

The atmosphere and art were perfect.  I really enjoyed just looking at the fish and jamming to the beat, and I think there might be a good idea there for another type of game. I think the typing aspect of the game was not needed.

hey i watched the clip and it made me very happy seeing someone enjoying my game. I initially wanted to leave the game with almost no gameplay but playtesting it i felt the visuals alone wernt enough to keep people engaged till the end so the original plan was to make two gammodes: ones like the game is rn and one thats longer without the light mechanic and more animals/events, but due to the limited time i decided to only make the game as it is right now

I liked the idea of light

But I created more enemies

not sure what you are trying to tell me, but thanks :)

This is pretty sick! the visuals are gorgeous and I very much enjoyed how simple yet effective the game is! It really forces you to stay put and pay attention! Very great game! :applause:

thanks

A little history makes the game attractive. The music is well chosen.

Amazingly made game, everything from the music to the art was wonderfully made

Cool game, loved the look especially of the jellyfish! And loved these cute little easter eggs too lol!

thank you :)

All around very well done! The typing mechanic to fix the light added a surprising amount of urgency when it would break. Everything from the vibe to game design was fantastic. Great job!

Very cool ambient art and music design. I love such oldy and creepy style. Would expect more game mechanics with such design.

Developer

yea like i said before unfortunatly i had not much time left for actual gameplay so its a bit simple, i think i will work on  a mini update during the rating period to release after to make it a bit more entertaining

Wow, this was absolutely incredible. Starting from the intro cutscene I was already blown away. Fantastic pixel art with some cheeky Lovecraftian references in there which were great. Then the game starts and the atmosphere is incredible. The amount of extra stuff in each frame is so good. It really feels like you are underwater with all the different sea life, particle effects, and sound design. Then the ending... What?! That was so good! An amazing, massive, detailed piece of art just slow zooming out once you had fallen past the whole thing. Seriously amazing game and I'm looking forward to what you make next!

thank you so much, i spent a whole day making the end cutscene lol

Simple but quite cute ^^

Developer

thanks :)

Good job with the atmospheric change when going deeper. Somehow I expected to get jumpscared ;)

The dynamic art is polished so damn well, really atmospheric!

A very simple game, with very simple controls, very simple objective, but I frickin' love it. Theming it around eldritch entities is spot on, the theme was just calling for it. I had the shivers after reaching the 400 meters or so, you nailed it on the ambience. The music is just chilling, and makes you more and more anxious anytime the torch breaks! Only complain here is that it's a bit repetitive after you get to know the game loop better, but I like to see it more as an experience than a game. The ending cutscene is amazing, I just love games that can keep the feeling of mistery until the end.

aaw thank you so much, you are completely right i designed this game as an experience more than a game and added the gameplay loop like on the last day i just wanted to see how immersive i could get the ambiance of a game and im glad it seemed to work

The animations in this are really good! also the depths were quite beautiful! cool game :)

Graphics were stunning, but the gameplay got a bit repetiv after a while

Developer(+1)

yeah i spent all my energy and time on graphics so the gameplay suffered a bit lol

I thoroughly enjoyed the game's atmosphere, from its captivating opening to its satisfying ending. In my opinion, the game is a bit easy and short. Nevertheless, great job! 🙂👍

Developer

thanks, unfortunatly i just hadnt enough time to make more content to make the game longer since i spent 90% of my time on artwork lol, will maybe work on an update after the rating period tho

Nice game, I enjoyed the graphics and the overall atmosphere, as well as the gameplay that supported it, especially when I made typos.

For me, it turned out that the best tactic is to simply move the mouse around the bell in a circular motion, which felt oddly. Perhaps requiring a moment to stay on the enemies could enhance it.

Developer

oh great idea will definitly implement this
