Very fun gameplay!

Things I enjoyed ✔️

  1. Took me a bit at first to get comfortable with the controls, but once I did, it was alot of fun!
  2. Graphics are polished! Audio feels great!
  3. The gameplay loop was alot of fun! I couldn't put the game down!

Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷‍♂️

  1. Maybe having a short tutorial at the end could go a long way! I had fun playing the game, but I feel it could help some players out.

Overall 📓

This game was so much fun! You did a great job on this game! You should be very proud of this title, because it is very well done!

Cool, energetic game. Controlling the plane feels realistic-ish and fun.

With some balancing in the overall experience it would have been much more fun to play, enjoyed this small jem on the jam :)

A clever take on the theme with a fun diving effect. Game balance could be improved for a more enjoyable experience.

really clever take on the theme, and i love the effect when you dive in the water! the game itself is also pretty fun as well. the amount of enemies and their attack damage can be a bit unfair sometimes, but i still had a lot of fun playing

Developer(+1)

thank you! Yes a number have people have mentioned this issue, need to reduce the number of enemies, their health and sounds like their damage too, focus on making it fun rather than challenging

I love the camera and the controlls where good, id like if the enemies where with less hp but its a very good entry!

Developer(+1)

great point, probably more fun if make the enemy planes die in 1 or 2 hits, and the turrets probably need less health too, thanks!

Great game i love the movement!!

Developer

Really cool game and concept! I think the music was a really good fit for the gameplay and style. Player movement was fast and fun, albeit a little floaty at times but I feel like that was part of the challenge. Underwater shader was an interesting and nice touch! As far as criticisms go I think either adding a vent sprite or some targeting arrows or something would be a huge help. It took me a while to figure out that I was just supposed to shoot down at the bubbles because I kept thinking I wasn't going deep enough because I couldn't actually see a vent. I also encountered a game breaking bug where the game crashed when I finally did destroy the vent 😬 Had a lot of fun though regardless!

You can check out my gameplay video playtest here for some more feedback:

Great feedback, thanks! Yes the vents definitely need to be more visible, and it needs to be more clear where they are, someone previously mentioned there should be a radar / mini map. You are also right about the movement, I need to spend some time fine tuning acceleration/ friction. Thanks for playing!

Submitted (1 edit)

Sure thing! Hope you keep fine tuning it, I'd love to try it out again.

Oh, and if you get a chance to play and rate back my teams game I'd really appreciate it!

Ready made music usually doesn't fit the games in jam but this is awesome. Loved the controls and movement. Like you said, when you polish this game, it would be complete nice game. Still good job !

Submitted

Great game! Controls and movement are amazing, game feel is great too... everything just mixed together super well ^^ loved it.

Banger! I love it, it really has cool wibe, love music, controls, fighting, pace. Elegantly and wonderfuly delivered. Great one!

I liked the movement and the ability to go underwater and in the sky. I wished I could see how much health I had though.

Submitted

Great entry! I love how you can dive so fast into the ocean and the shooting action feels very good, as a detail feedback it would be awesome having some sort of radar to check on the nearby enemies out of the screen so you can prepare to shoot, this is a very good game, nice work!

Developer

Great point about the radar, I agree it would make it much clearer where enemies are, I will add that to the post-jam version. There is actually an altimeter on this version but for some reason its not visible!

Submitted

Nice idea and play on the theme with the diving to the ocean floor from the sky. The change in the visuals was unexpected but very cool. Well done :)

Developer(+1)

thank you! Love the atmosphere in your game

Submitted

I really enjoyed the concept on this one! Maybe I'm just no good at this game but it feels kind of hard to do anything.

Developer

Interesting thanks, Yeah I stupidly didn't have time to do much playtesting, sounds like its too hard overall

The movement and animation of the player ship is really cool. I did try to play with WASD for the first run and had no idea what I was doing wrong. The menu music is a total banger, I was almost disappointed when it changed to another track for the gameplay.

I can't tell if I destroyed the vent or not, the game froze as I was shooting at the source of the bubbles, but I had a hell of a time flying around trying.

Developer

Thanks, loved your game by the way. Yikes sounds like a proper bug! I think a few people found the vents confusing, I should have made them easier to see. I added bubbles so you could tell vertically where they are, but forgot to explain that! Live and learn...
