How does your game fit the theme?
The game is all about traversing a dangerous hotel filled with physical doors which the player must push open to slowly reveal rooms, which could be filled with loot or with danger.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all code/assets were made during duration of the jam. Some external QOL packages were used however from the Unity package store.

The game is really very difficult, you don't know all the possibilities, so the strategy is 0 for the first time. And it's attractive because of this. I would like to go a little further)))
Atmospheric, the monsters are very beautiful)
Amazing look game! The tiles are very polished and the whole map felt very atmospheric due to the light. VEry well done!
very cool graphics, especially the flashlight glow ;)
Very well made game with a lot of content and good ambience!
The graphics are great, make you really immersed in the world. Sounds are good, but the game would benefit from having more of them. The millipede, altho buggy and was not moving for me, made me scared for my life when I saw it!
Unfortunately I kept dying for no reason after a few minutes of playing. It was not health nor hunger. I got the key though. Overall I'm impressed with how much there is in this game, well done!
Thank you so much for getting so far into the game! I'm glad you enjoyed the ambience and environment. Regarding the centipede not moving, I was the programmer for the enemies, and I did note that issue at the very end, but I noticed after the deadline so didn't have time to fix it Our team is going to try looking into the random dying bug, although we haven't encountered that before. Were you doing anything before you died or was it just out of nowhere? Anyways, thanks for playing!
Before I died I was just hiding in the corner some small distance away from the centipede. I just ate a piece of cooked meat and used a bandaid. There was literally no sound of dying, the "you perished" screen appeared out of nowhere.
The game was fun but I got lost in what to do and how should I use bandages or eat bread in the game.
There are some instructions at the bottom of the itch page since we have noticed that people are getting lost on the controls. To use items(if they have a use), you open your inventory then drag the item to the bottom right where there is a box which says use. This is also how you refuel your torch(by burning wood/paper in the top right icon), as well as reading the journals or getting descriptions(top left inspect). Hopefully that helps!

The game is not bad, the graphics are good, the sounds are too. But I couldn't figure out the controls, for example, how to eat a bun, add texts with hints on which key to press to use the object, and so it's not bad, good job!
Hi eromop, we have noticed a decent number of users getting confused with the items and we are really sorry that it was confusing to so many of you. To quote my previous reply "There are some instructions at the bottom of the itch page since we have noticed that people are getting lost on the controls. This is also how you refuel your torch(by burning wood/paper in the top right icon), as well as reading the journals or getting descriptions(top left inspect). Hopefully that helps!" The inspect action actually does tell you what to do with each item or at least gives you hints, but you are right that maybe it should have been more intuitive or easy to find. Anyways, hope you enjoyed.

Loved it! Amazing how much you could put in in just 1 week! Loved the artstyle as well! very creepy!
I tried webgl ya some sounds didnt work other thing was art of player could have been art as its the most important part other wise it was fun game nice ;)
I only tried the web version, I might download and try that version as I found the crafting table and clicked F, and then when I came out of the crafting table I could no longer move. Also, i read that you can use items but I wasn't able to click the icons on the inventory menu.
Positives, I love the vibe of the game. The art and music are awesome.
Thanks for playing our game! Yes, the windows build is a lot less buggy :-). For crafting, you can drag the items into the icons, and that should perform the action!
I like the atmosphere of the game and gample also cool !
Really like the art style!
There are some bugs in the game, but the gameplay and the graphics are really good! Nice inventory and crafting system.
Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to play our game :-)! Do you mind sharing what specific bugs you encountered so we can fix it?
Nice graphics and game play.. I am 12 and it's a little bit too realistic for me to play fully.. but i can see the effort and someone knows unity lighting pretty well...
can you also try mine, with some feedback?

No worries about being scared. To be honest, I hate playing horror games myself, but just really loved the idea for this theme. As a result, even I'm really scared to play my own game. I'll definitely try your game later, but I'm a bit busy with school so it might have to wait for the weekend. Thanks for playing!

Wow, this was very atmospheric and very cool to look at visually, the game was a bit too hard for me, but as someone else said it's very ambitious I could see this being polished and balanced further. Great job!
This is such an ambitious project for a game-jam, the amount of stuff you've added is crazy and to me was actually overwhelming
It took me a while to understand what I'm doing besides running away from whatever is coming after me, and this in itself was fun and atmospheric
But then having the items and crafting, props to making all of this but I could not really figure out what to do with all of this so I ended up always dying to too many enemies
So if I sum up all to one sentence it would be make it easier with less mechanics that make it simpler to understand
Obviously a lot of work went into this, really well done! sorry that I didn't manage to fully understand the game
At least you gave it more than one try. As a quick rundown, the items are generally not meant to be necessary but simply minor additions to the gameplay. For most items, simply left click to use them and you can use the inspect to figure out what they do(Although the repair kit is a bit useless). Items like the upgraded lamp and especially the axe can make the game much easier, but are as a result quite expensive to get and take some time to gather all the resources. Until you get those, it is a game largely about trying to evade enemies and most, especially the later ones, have unique weaknesses and mechanics which you can use to better evade them. Thank you for playing our game!
Sincerely,
Henry_Hamster.
It's a bit too difficult for me, I wish there was an easier mode
Overall, it was fun, has a nice atmosphere
That's definitely something we realized at our last minute playtesting, but sadly wasn't able to get to. I hope that it was still enjoyable anyways, and just to put it here, there are many paths you can take to the goal, and some do not have as many creatures than others. This game isn't meant to be won in one attempt, but by improving and learning patterns(including for enemies) bit by bit. Regardless, thanks for playing and have a great remaining game jam.
This was super atmospheric. Loved the enemy design and the lighting system to give it that horror feel. Audio was also minimalistic but great. I did get a bit confused about what actions to use for what item and I got stuck at one point between the enemy and a wall and couldn't move. Was really enjoying it though. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback, but I'm a bit confused about the getting stuck part since the player and enemies can walk through each other. Could you maybe explain what happened in a bit more detail so we can fix it for the future? Thank you!
Yes absolutely. I was walking around the halls and opened my menu to use an item while backed against a wall. I saw the enemy only when he was right on top of me because of your wonderful lighting, and when I left the menu I could no longer move.
Hm... which enemy was it(the like human without head, the blue wolf, or any other one)? I'll try to recreate it. Thank you for the help bugcatching.
The headless human. It could have also been the death state bugging out too since I didn't pay that close attention to my health and it could have been low at the time.
Wow!
Really nice game!
The ambiance is on point the sounds and graphics really good!
Good Job!
It looks cool, it feels nice, and the idea of only being able to see what's in your flashlight is really nicely executed!
Well done!
Looks awesome and has a great feel to it!
