How does your game fit the theme?
There is a collection period (the calm) before a wizard comes with his enemies to attack you (the storm). Plus, the wizard is a thunder wizard, and the effects are themed around it.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything except for sound and music which are attributed

equal parts confusing and gorgeous (both art and weather effects! and holy shit, the animations!) The wand system is extremely ambitious but without clear feedback on what is happening its depth remains a mystery. There is SO MUCH potential here! Cant wait to see what y'all can do with a bit more experience spreading limited jam-time resources!

The art is amazing!!

The watercolor graphics were amazing :D And the spell customization is super cool. I did get stuck between an enemy and a rock at one point (in which the enemy couldn't kill me, haha), but a job well done overall!

Amazing animations and art!

Love how all the Trees are destructible and give different power-ups to the wand. Great potential for an actual game with a story and progressive build-up,

The game itself was a bit clunky, I believe it's not possible to hit enemies in certain angles(When they are horizontally aligned with the player). The point of the game was unclear, are there infinite enemies? Will the level end? etc.

Overall very nice submission! good job!

What a fantastic experience! The game is beautifully designed, incredibly fun, and full of unique touches. You’ve created something truly special here. Well done!

The art by nerbos and sound by iboog123 is great. Great job on the storm. I think I hear wet footsteps too, nice touch. Idk if the laugh is credited to someone but that is really good too.

The gameplay doesn't seem to have much to do besides wander around shooting some goombas tho. The upgrades are cool and I like the system but it seems really random when you can get them and they don't effect how the shooting works too much. If the combat and goals get fleshed out, this game is one of the best of the jam.

I love the hand-drawn and painted aesthetic being meshed together with faded shadows and fog. I especially love the usage of shadows and rain to convey the sense of an impeding storm. One visual aspect that doesn't stick, though, is the lack of feedback from the character's actions. The elements that can be destroyed don't feel like they are until they disappear. This is especially worsened with the weak audio feedback of shooting the wand and destroying props.

The gameplay, however, doesn't hold much direction. I know I can use my wand to destroy slimes and trees, but what's next after that? The storm comes for the antagonist to come, but what do I do when he does? There are items that some entities drop, but what are those items for? Are they for upgrading my wand? If so, how does that work? This is definitely from not having enough time for teaching the mechanics, but these questions unfortunately came up often when playing. Despite the Godot console saying otherwise, I didn't experience many bugs when playing.

Thank you for the feedback! There are definitely a lot of things that had to be cut for time - I drew everything for this project myself and while I considered making rough animated feedback for hitting the objects, I was very tired haha (and implementation is a whole other story, but I cant talk because I'm not a coder). We also completely forgot to include a small tutorial screen providing context - and we will not forget next time that's for sure! It was our first time using Godotscript and everything was new to us and took way more time than we expected, so hopefully next game jam we will have a better idea of what can be done and be sure to refine it more :)

Really loved the art, beautiful art. Gameplay was a bit slow to start, but loved the feeling of the game and the theme is really well presented! Would love to see more work from you guys!

the art style in this is fantastic, I love the detail of the cloud shadows rolling over the map

I did the cloud shadows and most of the storm effects, it was really fun to make. Glad you liked it. The cloud shadows were from the same cloud objects you can see on the main menu screen, I just made them in blender.

I love the hand drawn graphic style! As many others mentioned the gameplay is a little odd since you can't tell when you hit enemies or hp or anything of that sort. I think the spells idea is cool too. Maybe it just needed to be exaggerated.

Really beautiful animations and visual style. The sound design is also great. The gameplay could use some polish but I think you still expressed the core idea.

Amazing art style and animations, absolutely polished stuff, it really fits!

The gameplay is a little weird, not knowing how much hp the enemies have, or having any feedback hitting them feels off, background music is missing.

Great stuff guys, keep it up!

Nice drawings! The beginning scene pause is too short, I couldn't see the story.

I love the art pretty cool and the animation is good also.

The art and gameplay are good, and the overall pacing of the game would be better with a little more polish
