So this was fun here is some feedback:

- Layering: Something that I feel would be cool is if monsters would be always at like a minimal distance something like one tile because it's kind of hard to feed them when there is 2 guys on top of each other.

- Terrain: I don't know if there is some specific reason but I feel like the tiles you place should have priority over already placed tiles because now you can sometimes place a new tile and it will change like one tile on the path

But overall it was a very solid entry, that feels like a pretty compleated package

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Yes monsters overlapping is a real problem. About new terrains, I am thinking an imprivement would be giving a preview of the affected area, but that comed after the Jam :).

Hey!, I had already played this game, but I hadn't commented on it haha. I think it is quite balanced and complete. At first it may seem a little overwhelming, but once you get the hang of it it's super fun, and manages to generate the motivation to complete the game. The art and music work quite well too.

Overall, excellent work! :D

Excellent work, the auto terrain handling is nicely implemented, but it took me some time to understand that we had to expand form the first terrain placed.

Great work!

Nice concept, especially the whole theme of the game: cartoony monsters, bright colors, etc. Everything matched perfectly. Also the game jam theme fit was evident ;)
Only downsides are figuring out how the game works and how the monsters earn you resources. From the wall of text there doesn't seem to see any explanation, and figuring it out while the storm closes on you is kinda hard. Also the placement of new terrains is a bit weird, as you place new terrain on existing terrain to expand it, which is kinda counter intuitive

Really fun game and quite a unique idea! I loved the graphics too :) I found myself playing for a long time trying to keep all my monsters alive. I wish the store came faster though!

Loved the game, somehow it reminded me a bit of loop hero.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your comment!
We actually started making a monster taming fighting game, without violence. Then we decided to do a competition, like a race. Then we removed the opponent. Then we were like, let's make the monsters loop around a road while you are taming them. Then one of the other developers, that knew Loop Hero said "Hey let's do something like loop hero". I didn't know Loop Hero that much, so I studied the game, while prototyping the mine sweeping like mechanic of opening tiles. Then we finally settled on the gameplay loop you see: Is like Loop Hero, but you make your own loop, you are not killing monsters and you have to keep every monster alive.

Loved! its very chill at the start, and it gets harder to feed the monster, really fits the theme

Im embarrased by how good this game is, makes mine look like a child made it.

Your game is quite fun!

Really nice game, the visuals have made me a fan of it, Chile usually produces great game devs.

Developer

Thank! we really enjoy getting the Art Style right! in the fist place we trying to get a patchwork look like Kirby epic yarn, but it took a ton of extra work to do like so.

So many burgers! I felt like I was running fast food place. It was creative. It took a bit to get the hang of it, but eventually I had so much to spend. Great music too! Good entry.

Game looks incredible and has unique job. Maybe add how to play the game to game's page as well, because I forgot half the rules I read before I even started to play. Fortunatelly there was the video so I could reread it again.

Developer

Thanks for the comment! Did you notice that M showed the instructions again?

Submitted

Oh, I didn't. Sorry, my bad.

This is the most fun game I've played here. Very well done! Probably the only game here that really makes we want to come back and play again.

Submitted(+1)

Good game. Here is some feedack: the remaining health of red monsters was hard to read because they have thin legs.

This game is awesome, I'm a huge fan of the visuals and the game was unique and fun. Great job!

Really cool mechanic! I wanted to play more! It takes a bit to get your head around how it all works, but once you know, it's really fun to try and optimize the speed at which the terrain changes on the monsters' path. The wobbly animations remind me of Baba Is You. I would've used some kind of marching music with the walking monsters.

Developer(+1)

A marching song is a great idea! I would use it with some items though, not always, it could feel repetitive. We do have a storm music system that went unused, as we ended up not having the storm in game.

Hee-ho. Interesting idea and gameplay. Cute art. Good job

Developer

Thank you!!

Original concept, interesting idea, good art and music. Nice game, love it <3

Submitted(+1)

This game idea is really cool and unique, music is relaxing and fits well the game. Also loved graphics and the cute animations, nice work!! :)

Feedback:

I feel monsters ran out of color really quickly and sometimes it's hard to get a refill card, so in that way it's a bit unbalanced.

Also I was really lost when I first played the game, you could polish a bit more the tutorial to make sure all the mechanics are clear from the beginning.

This game was one of the most original I have seen in this game jam, keep going!

really cool game ! cozy gameplay, and the graphics were ultra cute. I struggled a bit at first and then it got smoother, i still had to try 3/4 times to complete it but it was fun overall ! nicely done
