Cool game! I liked the combination of a clicker game and a tower defence; its a really unique idea. Having to choose between increasing the cheese production and defending against the mice was enjoyable. I had a lot of fun playing it. Good job! :D

How does your game fit the theme?
You play a calm idle clicker game with cheese when a storm of mice attack your factory and want to steal your cheese
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code was written from scratch, all the graphics were made from scratch. The sfx were taken from free websites but were modified. Only the skybox and the background music was taken from the unity asset store.

I wanted to reach the moon, so I invested on Cellars and just kept the game open while I watch videos :P
Well done! I wasn't sure how to position the turrets. I thought the mice would go to the cheese. I was very confused when they were running away from it. The truck driver was really patient waiting for me to sell him cheese.
I noticed that you added a mechanic so that lazy people like me (who would leave the Cellars to do the work) can't abuse the game. Well done :D
More fun than I thought at first. Once I figured out the economics, it was a clickfest, my LMB is on fire :D The only thing I would fix is making the mice/rat fight more relevant. I placed some turrets around early in the game and all but forgot about them. If turrets were more difficult to buy, or the mice were more threatening, it would've been perfect. Still a lot of fun. Cheers!
Combining the idle clicker genre with tower defence is an extremely cool concept and is executed decently in gameplay, though could definitely use some polish. I also found the exchange rate mechanic to be an interesting addition that develops strategy, as the player must decide if they will exchange the cheese now or risk waiting to get a better exchange rate. That along with forcing the player to decide if funds should be spent on rat defences or improving profit turns a usually stale game from the idle clicker genre into a more strategic and fun game.
The audio selection is good, as the sound effects fit the action they're tied to and the music is calm, which goes well with a clicker game. The visuals are fine and show what they represent, though they could have a more consistent art style with each other.
Still though, this is a solid game 👍
Played this one for quite a while, good job on creating the assets from scratch, enjoyed the pick up truck mechanics.
Really great game! Had a great time playing it. Trying to get as much cheese before the price might go down was a pretty unique experience to say the least
That said I think the mice phase was pretty forgiving, since the turrets are quite cheap you can pretty much spawn camp the mice
Overall great job on the game!
Damn, didn't know I can buy the moon just by selling cheese. But still, a very addicting game.
Hope that you'll also rate mine :) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690
The genre isn't for me, but I like some of the ideas here -- the exchange rate, and timing it with the arrival of the truck and mice
Would be nice to know what the upgrades do, and where the mice are coming from and what they're attacking exactly, because I don't think it was the cheese
Also I accidentally put a turret on top of the shop interface and it blocked that button the whole game haha
Nice submission
Really nice idea though mice should probably be smaller and some kind of path should be visible, But once again nice idea to develop further on
Top ∞ cheese
This is very addictive and simple, although with some nuance. The cheese exchange rate was amazing, and it wouldn't go above 1.0 at some point, which was sad because I wanted free money, but it looks like the cheeseflation got me. The tower defense portion is extremely easy, I had 4 turrets that defeated every single wave with ease and never lost a point of health.
Very cool and fun!
The upgrade panel for the individual tower that shows up at the bottom of the screen seems to go away when trying to click the tower then click upgrade, it's pretty hard to reach it and takes quite a few tries. If the game is updated after the jam that may be a place to start improving it.
Other than that I liked the simple clicking as well as the different towers and options in the shop. I found the exchange rate timer and truck really interesting and it added to the gameplay!
cutie cutie but why dont you build a webgl version, it would've been more convenient not having to download the game:v
Cute idea! The tower defense part is way too easy though, I could easily afford a dozen turrets the mice couldn't get through. But I like the idea of collecting money as an idle clicker game that's then used to buy towers.
Pretty interesting take on Clicker and Tower Defense games! I would make sure next time that you've properly set the anchor points on your UI, as the UI seemed to go off the edge on my monitor and I couldn't really see what I was buying. Overall though, liked the way that you incorporated the theme into the mix of these genres. Good work!
