How does your game fit the theme?
There is calm and storm, in 2 different ways:
1. The weather, which is calm during the day and the storm comes at night
2. The storm at night also brings monsters... later into the night even more monsters, which creates more stressful experience. Monsters stop coming at dawn, so the calm comes during the day, creating a much more relaxing experience.
The 2 aspects together try to create a mood where you can chill and relax for a bit during the day before the intense, stressful action packed period at night.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I've written the entire code from scratch.
Assets come from 2 free asset packs.
Music and SFX come for Pixabay.
There were a lot of features I have never implemented before and all my time was required for development.

nice work! the movement was maybe a tad slow but that was really the only drawback i encountered. nicely done!
Nice work, and nice getting to 20 ratings! :D It's is a good little tower defense game, and the assets and gameplay work well together. My one thing is the music proximity - it gets softer as you move away from the center of the field. I'm not sure what version of Godot you use, but you should be able to fix this by using an audiostreamplayer node rather than an audiostreamplayer2D node ^-^
Def one of those games that needs a lot more attention.. this is so good.. the music and esp the mechanics were so satisfying.. there was definitely a difficulty curve to the game.. wish there were fewer enemies in the first few nights

The gameplay loop is fun, the art and sounds complement each other very well. But I would have liked to have seen more variety of enemies, or buildings. I think after a few waves it gets a little monotonous.

It gets challenging fast! I really like the mechanics with harvesting resources and attacking enemies, everything feels very clean and really well done. Nice job on the game and making it fun to play!
This reminds me of firefight game modes in many action/shooters, plus building/managing. Love that! :D
Really cool concept and nice game! Good job! I think moving towards the left felt faster than the right? maybe it was cause of the storm but it felt tough. I feel like the character could be a little faster and it would be nice to have an upwards and downwards attack, Otherwise great game!

The controls layout is a bit strange, I suggest you allow WASD movement and make dash RMB and attack LMB . Alternatively I would prefer Z, X or C.
It actually seems quite complete, but I’m very unable to take time during day to farm or build anything. When you the game told me I had a 100 nights I believed I would struggle to reach 80, maybe 60… My best was day 4 and I really tried several times :x
Also, why do you force the player to pass when he’s exploring the tutorial and not ask him? I was setting up my audio and the game forced me to skip T.T
That beind said, the assets is nicely used, I like the castles as menu, the diversity of weapons is very great and appreciated and the wind slowing you is interesting (though maybe too strong)
Thanks for the feedback! I know it's a little too hard, the idea was to have short runs only for the game jam, I've already made it slower...
Related to the tutorial, that was a mistake after a week of coding non-stop :cry: I've already changed it as well to let the player decide.

polished and plays great! the main struggle for me was the tiny weapon range, since it meant I had to get really close to enemies, but interesting to balance that with the ranged towers
It's funny and looks polished in many ways. It enjoyed stacking crowds of creeps and killing them all using the speare! :D
