How does your game fit the theme?
While there is not, strictly speaking, a storm in my game, there is a decisive feeling of calm in the first part of the game which quickly gives way to a panic as the cave starts to collapse in on itself. But if you consider an earthquake a storm, the earthquake caused by taking the gemstone off its pedestal definitely counts.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. This is all my original work!

Very cute art and design! The game works really well and fits the theme!
Honest Criticism: The music was a bit irritating and the start where the player can leave the house and just disappear when you're outside need a bit of tweaking.
Hee-ho. Very cute game. Nice idea
Cute game, I liked the art. The scramble to get out of the cave was fun.

Simple and nice!! I like the art so much it's adorable!! Also I like how you kinda showed the parts that will crumble at the cave collapse part later so if a player wants they can try to remember those tiles and avoid them later
I remember making a similar game, awesome concept. Initially didn't like the audio, but it grew on me overtime. The graphics could also have been a bit better, but otherwise solid simple game!
Nice and short experience. The escape sequence was quite fun and I liked the song :D
At first the lack of music confused me a bit but it payed out. Very good use of backtracking!
Also loved Sakamoto-san
Simple, fun and to the point. Good job!
I'm a fan of the Nichijou cat lol
Short and fun game, perfect length for a game jam :) nice interpretation of the theme too!
cute game, at first I was wondering what was those cracks for, but after getting the gem, everything made sense
Okay that was really cute x3
While exploring I was already paying attention to why there were so many cracks on the floor, tried to step on them to see if I'd fall. When I took the gem I did not expect the collapse it caught me by surprise even if I had been expecting something to happen, had to quickly focus real hard to get out, real fun little experience! Congrats!
(Even though it is quite short and simple it's genuinely one of the games that's got me the most surprised/tense; Also the MC looks like Sakamoto San, so that's also great.)
cute game, simple game but is fun to play
The game is almost too chill until the soundtrack kicks off and gets you to scramble. My favorite part is the cat, he seems very familiar... Fun little experience!
Awesome take on the theme! I didn't read your description and was wondering how the "Calm before the storm" was going to come into play and got caught off guard not remembering which way I came from. Really neat game great job! :)
A very cool top-down adventure, id say it could use a lift in the graphics department and the gameplay felt a bit clunky from time to time but overall pretty darn good.
8/10 :>
Thank you! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out as a from-scratch game but with more time I'd love to iterate on the graphics and gameplay loop :D
Very nice atmosphere and good take on the theme. The contrast and transition between the 2 phases are very well executed. I just wished there was more to do/discover during the calm phase as it feels a bit empty. Good work!
Thank you. If I had budgeted more time for it I would definitely have liked to add pickups that affect the gameplay like "dash juice" or "jump over holes juice." Maybe I'll keep working on it!!
the cat is super adorable! i got a bit lost trying to figure out where to go and saw every room before i found the one with the diamond haha ^^' but that just added to the experience in my opinion. maybe a small hint at the start that shows that you're searching for the diamond might help and some sort of background sound during the first part of the game (maybe footsteps..?) - but all in all very nicely done!
Thank you! Great advice, I appreciate the feedback!
reminds me of pokemon games on gba loved your game
Thank you! In fact the cave setting was modeled after the caves in Pokemon Black & White :)
