In what way does your game fit the theme?
Having to jump off of your past self to progress and having to restart from the very beginning after every death to continuously have to jump off of your past self to progress and sometimes being forced to die in a location so that you can jump off of your past self to reach the platform you are trying to get too.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I downloaded freely available assets which are allowed for commercial/personal use and are referenced if you follow the 'Credits' button from the launcher. I followed some tutorials to get some of the code but not a lot of it.

Nice looking game! Things i would change:
-On the beggining, you have the "intro cinematic". I would put 2 black bars on the screen to show that it is a cinematic. I got confused thinking the character was moving alone.
-Cooldown on jumping is WAY too long in my opinion. Of course it makes the game a bit more challenging, but it also slows the pace a lot and is frustrating.
-Sound for killing enemies... Feedback for the player.
Other than that, its a pretty solid game :P
Totally agree on the black bars thing. I think that would be a really good idea to indicate that the player is in a cutscene, surprised i didn't think of this myself! The sound for killing enemies is also a great idea and the cooldowns are an issue which i will have to get around to fixing. They aren't intentionally this long XD
Really cool game, awesome art and music especially
Thank you! :)
Hey, nice work!
Please rate mine if you have time:

Like the fact that we can achieve level on multiple way, cooldown for jump are a little bit long and I don't really understand why sometimes my bars fall quickly while I'm not doing anything special...
Anyway, it's a gam jam and a really good job to have done this in a week ;)
The jump timer is not meant to be so long/short . People have been getting quite long cooldowns while other people have been getting quite short cooldowns, its a bug that came up that i just did not realise. Thanks for the kind words also, much appreciated :)
Graphics and sound is nice, but cooldowns for controls are a bit too long and it makes the game a bit difficult to play as many others have pointed out.
I see this as an easy fix for the future update and I'd gladly give it another go with those fixes.
The jump timer is not meant to be so long/short . People have been getting quite long cooldowns while other people have been getting quite short cooldowns, its a bug that came up that i just did not realise. I do hope to find the cause of the issue if i plan a full project for this game
Awesome concept! i really like the idea of using dead selves to jump on and stuff. The only problem is that the lack of checkpoints and the jump and attack cool downs make the game really tedious to play :/
I also somehow managed to fall out of the world 0-0
Few people have mentioned the falling out of the world bit. I completly forgot to create a fail safe for if the player got out of bounds, i do think i know where your talking about though and the jump timer is not meant to be so long/short . People have been getting quite long cooldowns while other people have been getting quite short cooldowns, its a bug that came up that i just did not realise. Super happy you like the concept though :)
If you need help debugging, the problem might have something to do with using update instead of FixedUpdate or not multiplying by Time.deltaTime.
Thanks! I'll take a look to see if that works when i get round to working on a patch/fix after the jam is done! :)
I agree with previous comments, the style and graphic very cool indeed!
Thank you!
I didn't have much to add from your comments actually, they covered most of the problems ^^ But there is one thing that I don't remember seeing. When doing a 2D game, you always want to make the hitbox smaller than the sprite if it's not a platform or a wall. Otherwise the collision won't feel fair to the player ^^
Awesome game but cooldowns are not cool, it gets frustrating and makes you want to quit, also I don't get the point of having them. But like I said, I love the style, music, and most of all how it fits the theme in a strange way. I would like to play it again without cooldowns.
I like how well it fits the theme, and you clearly thought it through. Good job! :D
The art style and concept are great. Controls kinda feel unresponsive but they add some difficulty. Great game!
Pretty funny concept, but jump cooldown sometimes annoying. Good arts)
Pretty cool game! A little more animations would've been nice, but overall a fun concept and I really enjoyed it :)
Cool stuff. Very cool concept of using your previous dead bodies to help yourself in the future haha. I have to say I didn't really like the jump cooldown though. And when I played I had some weird collision issues (colliders being in places where there was no object). But overall an interesting concept and good work!

Thanks!
Pretty interesting, but little frustrating because uncomfortable control
I think the body mechanic is pretty cool, I haven't seen that done before so it's an interesting idea for the theme. Some things could be polished, but for a week, this is a good game.
Very unique interpretation of the theme. The mechanics were a little slow for me, the bars took too long to charge up. Overall the game and the idea are great. Working together with your past dead selves, is one of the most unique interpretations of this theme I ever saw.
I liked the idea of the game! It was nice the feeling of correctly calculating where your corpse was in orther to avoid death. It got a bit repetitive having to go all the way back to where you died and the character telling you the times you have died and forcing you to close the window. Really nice art too!
I told you all the feedback on discord, but as I said, the dead bodies mechanic is great, hitboxes could be a bit more refined, but nothing major, overall great job
Controls are nice, does feel like I shouldn't have hit a spike sometimes though and wish the jump didn't have a cooldown, I do like having to go back to the start on death though really adds a fear in dieing
