In what way does your game fit the theme?
By collecting as much junk as possible, you are able to attain enough mass to penetrate barriers from alien invaders. If you do not have enough mass, you will crash. You are stronger with more.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code yes. 95% of assets created from scratch.
Audio, Font, and a robot used in the finale were not created by us.

The concept is great and environmental-friendly xd
The graphics and vfx are beautiful.
For the gameplay, it is quite difficult to play maybe because the junks also fall away when they collided.
As some people mentioned, the pick up control is not so satisfying as most of the time I couldn't pick the stuff.
Overall, good game!
The concept is cool and the levels are challenging which I liked a lot. But I guess there might be some problems with the cursor interaction because most of the time I couldn't pick up the junk with a single click. I always missed almost all the junk at first! After I learned "crazy-clicking" I can finally go through the levels. But I still feel like that would be better if you guys could change it. Overall, good game!
I like the idea of gathering all the scraps to upgrade your ship. The hitbox of your ship however feels very off, I would give the player a bit more leeway with it size. Because sometimes I felt that I was in the clear and then I died because a small fraction of the ship clipped a collider, same goes for the water.
tldr:
Good: Concept and initial mechanic.
Bad: Readability of the hitbox and environment.
Cool game! it kinda give me 'Star Wars 1 pod racer' game vibes jeje. it was a bit odd the crash against the water, because at first it seems i had some distance with it. I learned the distances after a while, nut maybe some shadows or something else could help.
Great game!
Hard game, but nice! Good job.
Wow ! I liked the graphics very much ... Well done , Overall gameplay was nice and I loved it . Good Job .
Awesome game! Very entertaining. My only complain is the cursor... it's VERY hard to see were it is when you're struggling to avoid obstacles and keep all the stuff you've already picked. Should be something more visible.
But the game is really fun and very interesting idea. Nice background story too.
Congratulations!
Please if you can, try mine :)
Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, a few of us will be polishing it up this weekend in preparation for patching it up right after ratings are done, should be a much more playable game.
I had never played unreal engines game, but this was a lot of fun
Unreal Engine is the best :)
The game is awesome, graphics, sound, and the mechanic and concept of the game is really interesting, maybe the hitboxes are a little bit weird and the drag sometimes feels a little unresponsive but in general is a good game, Good Job!
Hitboxes.
You just instantly explode, even though it feels like you're miles away from every object in the game. A mechanic for the water (which is nicely done) for example, could be, that you can graze it slightly, but have a damage meter rise up if you stay in there too long, which will eventually destroy the ship. The scrap you're holding at the bottom of the ship would just get washed away.
Bigger hitboxes for the scrap pieces in general (if you don't have MLG aim, picking them up can be iffy) and a way smaller hitbox for the ship would really make a difference.
I didn't notice anything performance wise, went pretty smoothly for me (others before me mentioned issues).
I really liked the multitasking aspect between trying to not crash into anything, but also clicking away at the screen. And destroying a barrier with the total mass just seems logical. Kudos for making this in UE!
It's really just the hitboxes, otherwise great little project.
The game is really fun, the graphic it's amazing
This game was really fun!! Really interesting spin on the theme and the graphics were really nice!! The only problem I had was the controls felt a little clunky at first, and clicking things that were in range sometimes felt unresponsive. Overall great game!!
Nicely done high-end game although my pc struggled to run it and I even struggled to get some footage and had to use a forced reduced resolution as my laptop is pretty old. The game is fun but sometimes the hitboxes are not obvious and it needs to be optimized a little more. I also think that rather than point and click you should try adding a pull ability that pulls everything closer. Focusing on both is very hard to do.
Here my feedback (Im sorry for my bad english):
-Game Design:
- The levels are good designed.
- It was sometimes hard to get the junk.
-level 2 was a lot harder than level 3 (in my opinion), so they could be swapped
-Sometimes there was a invisible wall I crashed in or my hitbox seemed a lot bigger than my vehicle
- when I moved at the beginning of level 2 down I just stopped moving
-the falling rocks in level 3 wasnt really challenging for me (maybe increase the numer of rocks or their size)
-Fun:
For me it was fun to play because it was challenging to concentrate on the junk and the vehicle. (but it was annoying if I crashed into an invisible wall)
-Innovation:
I think it the concept with the mass and junk is really innovative.
-Theme:
In my opinion it doesnt fit the theme perfectly. The junk and you arent like toghether because it is junk but it fits in the way that you are stronger with it.
Graphics and Audio:
The grphics are mostly nice. The water is very pretty. The Audio wasnt the best but its sufficient.
All in all its a good and fun game except for a few things.
I really like the art music and sound effects. it was a really cool concept and was an inventive take on the theme. However, I was never quite sure how long to hold onto an object for as at times it didn't come far enough and other times it flew off, I don't know if this was a design decision or just me being a bit daft, but it wasn't very clear. Still a really cool game. Well Done!
Just have to avoid the obstacles, so the junk doesn't hit the rocks. But we'll be making some improvements soon.
Wow I really loved the engaging and challenging gameplay of this game. I wish there was more to it because I finished it in only 10 minutes and 8 mins I spend only on the second level xD.
The graphics on this game were amazing. It was made with Unreal Engine 4 so I think we know why :). I also really liked the music tracks, they were really keeping me focused on the game. More levels would be great and I also think if you added shooting aliens that would have made the game a lot harder.
Overall this was a great game to play and I really enjoyed and had fun playing it! Amazing job mate!
Haha, yeah, Level 2 seemed to get everyone. UE4 is the best!
Haha, shooting aliens in later levels could be really cool!
Thanks for playing!
I love the art, especially the color palette. Can see the effort that went into it. Great concept too! Good job!
Thanks so much!
Great work! Nice and unique gameplay. I like the overall feel.
I had some hard time to predict when will I collide something. I had an action movie feeling when the rocks started falling down.
Haha, "action-movie feeling". Awesome!
Great game and art. But my computer suck ;-;
Haha, no worries!
The idea was certainly intresting and the graphics (especially the water) looked great. However, I think a bit more optimization would have helped the game as my computer had lots of trouble running it and was lagging all the time. But overall, great job!
Aye, definitely agree! Will be looking into doing that and doing a patch after ratings are done.
