In what way does your game fit the theme?
Multiple avatars that you control at once constantly spawn in, and so do spikes. They spawn faster and faster, and it becomes chaotic.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes and almost yes - i did not make the fonts. everything other than that i made myself!! :D

Gets VERY chaotic, but is still fun. Nice job!

Fun and engaging game.  Your interpretation of the theme is very well done and you did very well for your first game jam. I like the chaotic nature of the game  as the game progresses. There's still lots of stuff you can polish up but I understand if you didn't have the time to do it since it's a game jam at the end of the day. An overall pleasant and enjoyable experience. Good luck on the game jam!

ty man!! yeah sorry it's not super well polished, i had another feature added that tried to give more variability to the game, but it got bugged in the last day so i removed it.

you too!!

I liked the game, but I think the initial tutorial screen is boring for the player, one advice I can give you is not to put too much text on the screen to read. The average player doesn't like that. It's not easy, but try in next games to explain the game in other ways.

Also I didn't need to read the entire text either, and I was able to play and understand the game easily without tutorial.

Anyway, nice job :)

yeah that makes sense, i got some comments like that on the discord as well, but was too lazy to change it XD thanks for the feedback though! :)

Great concept, great execution. Some music would be cool and maybe a scoreboard to compare scores with other players. I really like the pixelart.

Having said that, this being your first game is incredible. Good job, keep up the great work!

Developer

thank you!! let me just say, that making a scoreboard is way beyond me lol. idk how to do that. ty for the positive review though :)

You're welcome! If you ever decide to add one, I always use dreamlo.com in the same way as described here. It's super easy, you don't have to worry about server stuff and it's totally free.

Obviously not important at all though, the game is heaps of fun as it is! ^^

Developer

thanks! that was the goal :)

I just played this game and I gotta say that it is incredibly fun, you hit the nail on the head in terms of chaos as the game really did become very chaotic, I really like it! :)

Really chaotic! Nice job!

The audio in this is rather relaxing not gonna lie, really fun game, great job!

This is a nice idea, "use the walls to your advantage" really helps, but althought the theme is "Let there be chaos", this is so chaotic that i can't play it, there are spikes all over the screen, everything is way too fast, and the red arrows don't really help. Next time, ask a friend or family member if they can playtest your game before submitting, and listen to their feedback. Oftentimes you forget how hard your own game is because you worked on it for so long.

Also, the graphics are amazing, but the audio sounds like a placeholder. I would recommend  websites like jsfxr to make good sounds. Also, use a different font than the standard arial font. On Google Fonts or DaFont you can find hundreds of good fonts that easily improve the look of your game.

I hope my feedback helped you, it would be cool if you could check out my submission too. Thanks! :)

Nice and fresh idea.

There are some minor issues with collissions though - which might even give the player a better experience when fixed :)
