How does you game fit the theme?
The player can solve platforming puzzles by typing out words in order to delete objects in the level. Thus, the player can effectively make parts (or all) of the level "not real".
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all assets and code were made by me, using Aseprite, Unity, and Reaper.

I enjoyed the concept a lot and would love to see it fleshed out more. It lends itself to multiple solutions to a puzzle and that's neat. I can only imagine the kinda puzzles you could make with more objects to work with, but this was just a week jam after all!
Your character animation is super smooth. Very weighty, grounded walk cycle. Nice job, cool interpretation of the theme as well.
Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you liked it, and I agree that the concept could be explored further. Because of time I was unable to add all the levels I wanted into the game, and so after the jam I plan on revamping the game by adding a lot more content to it. Stay tuned!
it was a bit short, but cool idea.
Thanks for playing!
NICE GAME! I like the idea and the implementation, In my opinion is pretty original. A little game for a game jam with 3 well thought out levels. Great job!
Awesome, thanks for playing!
Really cool concept! I found that I could solve the last level with only 1 command, which was kind of a dopamine boost. I had a blast playing the game!
Good job! Glad you enjoyed it!
I had a great time playing this, very fun game!! I really like the concept and the art was really good as well! Great job ^^b
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Really really cool concept, I dig the mechanic of being able to remove objects from the level, I really think this idea could be expanded, it definitely feels too short, but it is a game jam after all.
I really want to see a puzzle that has a twist, for example a blocking enemy that you could remove (it is the logical thing to do) or could keep, and make it so the enemy pushes a box to give you a platform to end the level. Tons of way you could expand this idea, great submission!
Thank you for the critique! Yeah, time was the main factor in me being unable to increase the level count; I was planning on adding levels that subverted the initial idea (ex. "erasing" a hole to fill in the space). After the jam I plan to add these levels in, and more. So I'm glad you enjoyed the concept!
Nice and neat game. The music is good, control is decent. If the game has more levels and more tricky objects, it will probably become one of the best game in this jam.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it; in the future, I plan to add more levels to add onto the concept. Thanks for the feedback!
Why does this game only have 3 levels? I need more levels! I love this game so much! It was so much fun figuring out how to solve each puzzle, it was more than just typing in the right word, I also had to do some planning, push some things around, there's so much potential with this game. For level 3, I was able to beat the game with only 1 word! This is such a great game, it deserves way more ratings, you did a fantastic job!
Thank you, that means a lot! I'm glad you liked it; originally I planned on having more levels that I just ran out of time to add. After the jam I plan to expand the concept and add a lot more levels, so stay tuned!
Excellent job. I was left wanting for more levels, very fun puzzle platformer, clean UI, nice UX. I would just make the jumps less floaty. Congrats on your submission, a short but very enjoyable experience.
Thanks a bunch! Yeah, time constraints prevented me from adding all the levels I wanted, so once the jam ends I plan on adding more and expanding on the idea. I appreciate the feedback!
I liked the concept a lot. Really good game.
Thanks for checking it out!
I love the art it looks so lovely. Alongside with the music etc. The game overall is attractive. Good work!
If you have time I'd like to hear your feedback!
Thank you so much! Sure, I'll check it out.
Unique idea and cute graphics.Especially the UI. My one piece of advice would be to add a playable tutorial instead of a text dump. Very well done!
Glad you liked it, thanks! Yeah, the first level was meant to have more of a tutorial feel to it, but because of time I ended up having to just add in the exposition instead. I appreciate the feedback!
This is quite the interesting concept and I love the sprite art , music, animation, and overall aesthetic of the game!
If you implemented the Typing Mechanics step-by-step instead of giving the info through introductory Text-Boxes, I think the game could've had better flow and could be more intuitive for players.
A simple example would be if we were introduced the "Typing mechanic" where the player is trapped within some "Walls" for the first level, then needs to"Inspect" the "Crates" that were blocking their path in a following one, it could lengthen the game a bit and at the same time let the player experience the necessary mechanics in a way that feels a little more gradual and intuitive.
Thank you for your comments and trying our game, as well, and I hope to see you create more games for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks, I really appreciate it! That's not a bad idea for a tutorial; I'll consider it for future updates of the game.
This is such an interesting concept for a game, and it was pulled off really well! The gameplay was super fun, the puzzles were not too complicated but not too difficult either, the graphics of it looks really nice, everything about it was really good! Good jobs all around
Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing!
Great Work, I Rated it!, can you help me with my jam entry?, It would really make my day if you rate mine too!
Thanks in advance!
Here's mine!!!: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1415313
This was so sweet!
The character and music were so cute, the gameplay mechanics were unique, there were no bugs, overall, good stuff!
The only minor criticism I have is the button mapping; Inspecting is used a bit too frequently to be all the way across the keyboard, so I think binding it to E or something would've been the better call but I also see using the button with the corresponding letter I, and a quick restart button would've been nice. But those are only very minor problems, the game design and presentation were fantastic :3
Glad you enjoyed it! E might indeed be a better mapping for the inspect feature. I'll be sure to work on improving QoL for future updates of the game. Thanks for the feedback!
Wow, this was something else. I love it!
I just rated your game, maybe you can do the same on mine ^_^
Thanks for checking it out! Sure thing.
This was really fun to play! I really liked the concept. The only real problem is that it's too short. A few more levels would really round it all up into a nice little package of cool pixel art and fun gameplay.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! After the jam I plan to add in the extra levels I was unable to complete due to time constraints, which should expand the concept more than I was able to here. I'm glad you liked the idea!
This is a great concept that you have worked on, well done ! I would definitely like to play more levels using this system.
Congrats on getting the idea and implementing it within such a short amount of time !
Thank you! Yeah, time was the main issue with being able to put more levels in. I plan to add more levels post-jam in order to flesh out the concept more, so stay tuned. Thanks for playing!
Very creative! I found the puzzles to be quite rewarding to solve, if not a bit simple, and it implements the theme into its gameplay in a unique way.
I'd love to see this concept expanded upon because my only real problem with the game is that it's so short. The idea has plenty of potential.
Thank you so much! My original plan was actually to add in a few more levels, but time ran out before I could properly implement them. Once the jam's finished, I plan to add them back in so the game can feel a lot fuller, and maybe even expand it further.
