I really like the idea.

As with every other 2-player game I didn't have a player 2

however, I think it would be better with different key mapping

so player 1 moves with WASD and uses E to shoot

player 2 uses arrows and LMB

but that ofc might just be my personal preference

other than that the game is pretty fun and addicting

Good job!

Developer

Yeah I think that might be the best solution. But I might also need to add key mapping. Thanks for playing my game tho :)

I played alone but it was fun :) Background could be made animated to feel like the character is moving.

Wonderfully addicting and marvelous to look at!

What immediately drew me into the gameplay was the color spectrum and design. Simplistic and pleasant. The UI might benefit from another go-round of perhaps more specific detailing, but this is a minor nitpick.

Overall, the intended gameplay is super addictive and I can only see this getting better with more updates. I look forward to what's next!

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

Thank you for playing my game! And I'm actually quite surprised at how good looking this game turned out. But I don't really know how I can add more specific detailing to the UI. Could you please explain?

What a fun game! Also Commando Steve is a banger of a song so well done on the choice I feel it fits the theme really well!

I enjoyed playing this game, it's addicting! Audio is great! Also fits the theme. I really like the laser.

Great job!

It was simple but very fun

I really like those effects and the music

I quite liked the game! it was simple but pretty fun! especially when trying to handle both players by yourself! The music was pretty great too.

This game has great feedback. I love the screenshake and the music, its really fun. Nice work.

Submitted(+1)

Very satisfying visual and auditory feedback effects. Really nice work!

Great game! it's hard to shoot with the 2 players while being alone on the keyboard. The game fits the theme well. It's a fun game, good job!

I really like the concept, althoguh i have seen it before in this jam. Visuals are pretty nice and I like the animations :) Although, you can sort of cheese the game by have you orange guy on the top and the blue guy on the bottom with the laser turned on. Other than that, I like it! :)

Submitted(+1)

Neat idea with the laser, but I don't get how am I supposed to move both players simultaneously while at the same time shooting with the mouse. I suppose it would be easier if I had friends :P

Submitted(+1)

Very pleasant art, and the shooting feeling was just right!

Submitted(+1)

Great Game and Nice Art. If you play alone like I was its incredibly difficult and I think that would a big problem with the 2 players take on theme. However the game overall is great and a nice little minigame!

Is that Commando Steve oh god... but anyways fun game the only thing missing is some more variation between enemies you shoot. And the second player feels like an after thought couse he isn't really needed you can just hold F the entire time and shoot with the first player

Developer (1 edit)

You can hit Tab to create a laser between the two players so I guess he does exist for the greater good of all. And, in a game jam, you kinda have to cut some stuff out in order to get sleep so I might keep working on this after the jam.

Thanks for playing my game tho!

The controls are hard. What can I say. It's hard to make a balanced game in less than 3 days. If you can somehow manage to reach 500 points, YOU WILL TRULY BE AN EPIC GAMER!!!!! Also hit Tab and laser will go brrr...

It was quite hard to control both players at the same time because i cant put both of my hands on the keyboard and control each player, loved the intense screen shake, it was really fun and i got a score of 202! :D

The graphics looks nice and the Bossfight song was a bit unexpected lol

But the gameplay here is dreadful. I had no idea how to control anything so I had to look for the controls and it was so hard since the midground is invisible and there's the background there.

And even then, it's very hard to control one of the ships since it uses mouse control. It would be better if it was space bar and slash.

Developer (1 edit)

Sorry about the controls. I did add a show controls button at the top left corner of the main menu. But the controls are very difficult. I guess this is just an example of why you need to playtest more(the game is a breeze for me). I'll improve that after the jam

What is innovation ?

Submitted

It's how much the game stands out does it have some mechanics you didn't saw before or how much it differs from other games posted.

Developer

Oh so that's what it is

Submitted(+1)

Well, the song is really amazing :D Visuals are simple but clean. In my opinion, it would be good to have some kind of difficulty progression and powerups. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you. I was going to add a difficulty curve and some health pickups, but there wasn't enough time.

Maybe I'll add those later in a post jam version
