How does your game fit the theme?
It always start from the beginning when you die :)
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
most of it, sounds are from humble bundle

I love this aesthetic so much!! and the way the ship changes every time you upgrade is such a nice little detail!
Although the gameplay was a bit too random in my opinion, it felt like I was just tanking all the hits because of the controls, but I see that this can be a great shoot em up / bullet hell game if you make the controls tighter and the projectiles a bit slower and bigger (to make them easier to see). Also add a simple meter to display how many XP you have to collect to upgrade again.
Thank you very much for the feedback. I adressed some of your issues already for the post jam version:

This is so nice! You're doing a great job :)
How many hours did it take to code this game?
I think It took me like 20 hours, plus a bit for the gfx. I wasn't able to do a menu or xp bar as I ran out of time.
The game well made, but there was no menu screen, so you got bombarded with enemies and a loud music. The theme wasn't put in as a game mechanic nor as a story element. Overall a good game.
Unfortunately, I can't download this and play it on my machine, but I had a look at the main page and images. Do you think it would work in the browser or is the file size too large? You could add a video to the page to help people review who can't download it for some reason. From what I can see the visuals look great! I also checked out the review on the video below and the sounds are Cool too!
Hey thanks for trying unfortunately the WebGL version didn't work as it crashed to some shader problems which appear only in WebGL Version and i couldn't figure the problem out :/
Nice and dynamic. Pretty art and music. Easy to die in this one ;D
Thanks for submitting your game to be played in the stream! You can see my reactions over in the vod down below (games are separated into chapters with yours being the twelth chapter)
Really awesome shmup. This is aesthetically beautiful and the effects are awesome! Only thing missing was a custom cursor so you can more easily identify where you are shooting. Really great work!
really having a good time playing this game! the level-ups are pretty well designed. I was excited when I saw a golden upgrade. In the late game, i have like 20 healing drones repairing. It was almost unkillable.
graphics and sounds also feel nice. it fits the overall atmosphere. great job!
I love how this game look! It is very pleasant and fun to play!
I love the colors with the simple art - very chaotic, very bloomy, but it works! Nice job!
This is a pretty fun bullet hell :D Took me 2 tries to beat it, had a lot of fun while trying to clear it. I think the contrast between the bullets and the background can be improved, and controls can be a bit tighter. Other than that, I'm pretty excited to see the updated version for the post jam :D
Lol so much chaos, i star to get dizzy :D. Man will be nice to limit the screen for the ship. of camera to follow the ship, i don`t know just saying.
Thank you for the feedback. I didn't had the time to adjust the wave spawner logic, so its a bit to intense concerning the enemy count :)
Fun game, and really liked the visuals!
Really fun game! Its nice to see someone also make a bullet hell/ rouge lite game as well. I really liked the upgrade aspect. Each time I upgraded it felt very strong. You have a very nice and addictave game loop that pays off. Graphics are great and the music/ sfx add an extra layer of polish to your game! Really enjoyed playing this very fun!
Thank you for the feedback. I think I will turn it into a small game after the rating period is over.
The game is incredibly fun to play, it literally feels like a polished full-fledged game. Love the visuals and the music in the background really helps to set the vibe :)) Also love how the ship visually changes throughout the game as you become more and more powerful. Cool concept, really well made, overall awesome!
A fun arcade-style space shooter roguelike.
Pros: fun gameplay, actually as difficult as it claims to be (the furthest I got was 3 minutes), good polish, beautiful graphics, awesome music, overall good sound design (no idea if this is intentional but the shooting sound matches the BPM of the music. If it's intentional good on you, if it's not then it's certainly a happy accident.)
Cons: it would be nice to have an indicator for when your dash runs out, the bullet hell mechanics are a tad frustrating because of the way your ship moves. It feels a bit more luck based than it probably should. This is a nitpick but a pause menu or at least a way to exit the game without tabbing out would be nice.
Overall it's a fun game and I enjoyed playing it, I think a full version updated after the jam would be really cool and something I'd like to play. Roguelike is the obvious choice for this theme so it's certainly not the most creative game I've tried but it's among the most polished and visually appealing nonetheless.
Thank you for the constructive feedback, I already altered the movement of the ship so it won't drift anymore. The controls feel way tighter now. I am working on the UI actually there is an XP bar now and there will be cooldown icons and i will split the different attacks into different buttons instead of cooldowns all an LMB.

Absolutely georgeous graphics, lovely game!. A little hard to see the theme in this, but other that that i could see this becoming it's own game. Nicely done.
Thanks for the feedback :) The theme is classic roguelike - if you die your restart from the beginning :D
Cool game! Couple of seconds away from beating it… All those healing drones couldn’t keep up!
I really liked the loadout system! One criticism is that visibility of the cursor was quite low, I lost track of it multiple times which made me waste some shots.
Good work!
Thanks a lot for the feedback - I already did a lot of improvements like the main menu, experience bar, better contrast, and remove drifting in favor of direct ship controls :) I will upload the new version after the rating period ist over.
