How does your game fit the theme?
Not only is the game filled with "new endings and new beginnings," it also pays tribute to windows 95 retro games and new exiting irl life for a little dog named Molly.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. Used free assets from unity asset store and pictures of windows 95 desktop. Origin Music is non-copyrighted and were modified by ourselves.

I like the topic of being in the computer, it was interesting

Wow, amazing Idea and i really like this old PC vibes, reminds me of me young age. The reverse controls are a nice idea!

The music shifting into a glitchy version was so cool! The hints/comments were super helpful otherwise I wouldn't have gotten very far on my own. The old Windows PC feel was super nostalgic and spot on!

Developer

Thank you!! We would have add more hints in game, but because of the time crunch we can only add a little bit. Appreciate your comment!!

The Game was actually fun, but do the future players a favor and update the local origin of your assets. (Don't do it during the jam or your game will be removed from the jam)
you can find that option if you click onto the sprite in your asset folder, in inspector you can edit the local coordinates of your sprite. set the coordinate origin to the bottom of your sprite texture where it is actually standing, so your sprite doesn't hover.

Developer

Thank you for your advice!

I very like the twists. I saw a few other games with completing the same level over and over but none of them have such a cool story and windows 95 environment. Really enjoyed it.

Developer

Thank you we really appreciate your comment! Will check your your game as well!

Pretty cool game. I really like the concept a lot :). I feel like polishing the movement could make the game even better. Other than that great work!

Developer

Thank you!!

Nice little game! I LOVE the desktop and being able to interact with windows and stuff in games! I wish there was a bit more depth to the game though, maybe moving the window to find a password on the desktop, or looking through files to find something, or something like that. Would have been nice to see a few platforming levels too.

Cute game, made me smile :)

Developer

Those are very helpful comments!! Thank you so much for playing our game!! Would love to expand on the idea if we got more time!

What a trip! Every twist got me. I was exited for what came next, and the changed controls kept it fun. Although I am concerned why your XP computer is running PS6 and has the win8+ BSOD lol. Fantastic job, cant wait to see what you create next :)

Developer

Thank you!! We really appreciates your comment haha. Your thoughts are right on our target as well, we were worried about the discrepancy across different systems, but then realized it's just for a game jam and it would bring some laugh to the people too.

Fun little platformer. The visuals of it being an old pc was nice and the music was good. One thing is the pixel sprites had some different pixel sizes which looked a bit off while playing. The different movement mechanics popping up was a nice little challenge to overcome though and made it fun to go through the game

Developer

Thank you! We were not so experienced with sprites and screen resolutions and that's where the compromise for the blurry image came from. But thank you for your advice and we really appreciate you playing our game:)

Nice story and nice concept. I didn't like how music became earrape suddenly

Developer

Thank you for your comment! I understand the music may be raging and annoying. Great advice

Funny game, but a little bit confusing when changing movement mechanics.
