What a banger, great job! The art, atmosphere and story make for a very engaging experience — everything was very well put together.

If you’re looking to improve the game after the jam, I would make it a bit harder, which better matches the harsh reality and tough decision-making that the game is looking to convey. I got to Rome on my first try with no real effort. Admittedly, I made some, let’s say, morally questionable choices, but was never really punished for that (I did get a priest to be all judgy on me, but that didn’t stop me from getting to Rome). Perhaps having a post-game screen giving you a “morality score” (which is something we wanted to do for our game) or having multiple endings would fix that. For instance, you can be dethroned by your people for being a terrible leader, or never getting to be a king at all since people would refuse to support someone who ate his little brother’s arm or sacrificed a stranger for a couple of juicy steaks.

Super impressive entry, congratulations!

Nice game, you made the classic "hard decision make" game, but it came out very enjoyable.

On the contrary of the others I can be quite happy about the result, we got a woman with us and no one was injured, lost a limb or whatsoever, only the woman get hungry at the last screen.

The only thing I couldn't do is to help for the second time a woman that was asking for food.

Nice game, you can keep developing it with the continuation of the story, adding more plots and multiple story branching will make it a good story based game with tough decisions to take.

Well done!

Good game... I understood the cruelty of survival.....

Maybe my favorite game so far.  Absolutely loved the look of it.  And the decisions were definitely tough.  I just wish there was a greater diversity in the encounters (lots of fallen barrels and angry dogs).  Still, it was pretty awesome.  Really well done!

Thank you! :)
I agree, I wish I had the time to add more encounters types.

I must say that I really enjoyed this game. It's so simple in it's mechanics, but the delivery is outstanding! Congrats on finishing such a great experience. You simply feel the theme with this one!
