The instruction went past the top left side on my screen, if you can fix that or just tell me what the controls are that would be appreciated, Thx

Oh sorry to hear that happened, can u tell me your monitor resolutions and proportions?
That would help me a lot with fixing that!
When it comes to controls:
WSAD - Moving
QE - Rotating
SPACE - Running
VC - Look Down/Up
R - Rotate 180 degree
1-4 Change mouse modes that will allow you for a different type of interaction
To attack use fight mode and swipe the mouse on the screen in the chosen direction
Hope I was able to help you, once again sorry for the problem.
The art and sounds are amazing and takes me back to the old might and magic games with the same style.
Had a few issues with killing the first enemies you come across. Worked fine killing them the first time, but when I got killed and went back I couldn't seem to damage them anymore.
Love the concept of the game though and with things others have suggested, once they are in this will be a hit!
That's a huge work done. The only thing I miss is vertical camera rotation, otherwise very well done!
The biggest thing i can think of is the menu on the top left. It takes me out of the experience by having to click on what i want to do. think it would be better if it were context sensitive. Most things only have 1 type of interaction, so having a choice of interactions is a little bit superfluous. You could have the interact/pickup be the same feature, and then inspect could be bound to right click. The one thing that i do think benefits from the current implementation is the combat. But you could easily have a combat toggle button bound to he keyboard.
Additionally, dragging items to the bag takes abit too long. I think one click to pick up would work abit better and keep the player in a flow state. (Also pickup/interaction range could be extended, its hard to pick up things that close when you cant look down.)
Ideally you could allow me to look up and down, but that's more of a limitation on this style of game, so im not sure what you could do there.
That's a whole lot better! Its not quite the context aware method i had suggested. But adding the hotkeys to the corner menu really works well to make choosing an action less tedious.
The new grab range feels nice too. I do think it would still benefit from a single click pickup rather than click and drag. But overall the improvements feel really nice.
Wow probably one of the most interesting mechanics i ve ever seen in a game. I dont know how did you manage to do this in only 2 weeks. Great Job!
Great graphics and design choices. The rotation controls were a challenge to maneuver at times but I think the atmosphere and vibes made up for it. Great Job!
This was a proper fun experience, brought back a lot of memories for 90s games like doom, dark forces, a lot of detail especially for some of the cut scenes, very smooth cinematics
you should all be really proud of yourselves, this is a good game :)
Sorry I wasn't able to beat the final boss. I think I would have pushed through if the camera controls handled better, I know it's the point that the camera is hard to swing around, and I even got quite good at it at the end, but the phase where the purple things shoot out of the ground I just can't look around fast enough to see where they are coming from and I end up dying.
Another thing that I found extremely frustrating is the item pickup system. It would be fine if it worked correctly but it only works in specific viewing angles and since you need to stand at a certain distance to it, the stuff you want to pick up is always at the bottom of the screen.
There are also a few sequences where you can't see what is directly in front of you because you are on a slope.
The simple way to fix this is by letting the player look up and down. That alone would have made this 100 times more playable.
I feel like a cool way to implement the camera that would fit the game would have been by letting me drag it with right click or something.
But I also respect the decision to not give the player a lot control over the camera. The game just should have been better designed around that limitation, meaning no slopes, and no mechanics where you need to look around quickly. A 180 degree turn button would also helped a lot for the combat.
If you could fix the picking up resources problem and maybe add a turn button that alone would improve this game a lot. Some ideas for a post jam version maybe ?
Aside from these problems however I loved this game. Sure it's not really that cozy, more like absolutely terrifying, but I loved that about it. I like the approach to combat, it's like a mix of a game like for honor and resident evil 4.
The level design is also really excellent. It was never confusing, yet always made me feel like I was lost and I was able to build a mental map of the levels rather quickly.
The art is also very charming and the cutscenes are really, really fantastic. (Even though I wish you could skip them when failing at the last boss on repeat).
Another comment mentioned that it would be cool to switch through the modes by hitting shortcuts on the keyboard and I absolutely agree that that would be a good inclusion.
Overall I really enjoyed this game, even though it got really frustrating at the end. It's very well made and I feel like with just a little more polish this could go from a good to an amazing game.
This review got quite long, but that just happens when there is a lot to say about a game. Thanks for making it.
Hi man, thanks for this amazing feedback!
We will surely make the post-gameJam uptade and we will use a lot of feedback from u guys.
For sure we will be adding switching modes with 1-4 number keys, also I will try to work a little on grabbing so it will be easier and work generally better. When it comes to moving the camera up and down I'm still not sure what is the best solution to this problem, but I will try to make something to address this problem. A 180-degree turn button is also a great idea. One of my friends also talk about it while testing but unfortunately, the game was finished and tested only a few hours before the deadline so I wasn't able to implement it in time
I just finished version 1.1.0 . I started from the beginning again to see all the changes and wow.
The game is so much better now. being able to switch modes quickly made that one section with the bridges and the mages so much more manageable. Also being able to look down made picking up items a lot better and the pickup system works much better in general.
I was also finally able to beat the boss at the end and while it was easier due to the quick turn around button, it was also so much more fun. The ending was incredibly intense and my heart was pounding when I finally got him.
This game overall was just incredible . And also congrats on getting first place on creativity as well as 7th at fun. Very well deserved.
Even if i never really got used to the controls, this is a very good game. I loved the art, the atmosphere, and the gameplay is quite good too.
Great job ! :)
Awesome job! This is a really cool game with a lot of depth for such a short amount of time. Kind of difficult to get used to the controls and understand how to play at first but there's a lot of great polish here. Some things such as grabbing objects to place in your inventory feel a little clumsy at the moment because of how close you have to be to them in combination with the camera controls, but I'm sure this could be sorted out with some more finetuning. Overall I dig the game a lot.
It's a cool game. It gives me vibes of Grimrock somehow, which is a good thing :D
At the beginning the controls are kinda confusing, but when you get used to it, it's actually really cool and smart!
Liked the game a lot!
I like the style this game goes for! super unique! Learning the controls took a while to get a hold of but I managed to make my first bonfire. Will look into the game more once i get enough time to play some more but so far I love how much life this game has.
One cool feature to have added would have been to perhaps switch modes with the numbers on your keyboards as I sometimes forgot that I had to click the icons on the top left corner.
Overall liking game so far, Good job!
