Nice work! I played this one to the end and had fun.  Beautiful artwork all around, smooth mechanics, nice character controller feel, and nice puzzles.  Everything feels polished -- very impressive for a two-week jam!  I had one instance where the camera zoomed and cut off the characters (one below, one above), but I could still see the one below when it jumped, so I climbed my way up until the camera readjusted.  If you develop this further, I also agree with the prior comment that it would be nice if the flame didn't lock the first character to touch it, as I think it will lead to frustration (which is sometimes nice in platformers, but this doesn't feel like a platforming-challenge type frustration).  Great work on this!!

Nice game! Very fun to play as two characters that have to work together. And the graphics are jaw-dropping.

Well done, feels very polished—controls/movement, art, music. Very cozy vibes. Love the little mushroom characters and the friend-jump mechanism! I agree with the other comments that this would make a fun coop game.

Maybe I'm dumb but I got stuck at second level..

Developer

you just jump on the head of a mushroom, and then push the rock below

so you can continue

Submitted

the mushroom on top got stuck at the blue flame

Developer (1 edit)

to retry the level you simply press R

however after you jump, avoid going to the blue flame right away, go up then push the rock down and finally go to the blue flame

if you really don't know how to do it, there is a gif on the itch page of the game

Yeah I got it now, didn’t know about the R key. But I think the game should prevent me from locking one mushroom in the flame.

Man I really enjoyed the level design and the puzzles you came up with! But at the end of the on/off switch level I mistakenly touched the flame again and had to do all over again. Also some platforms (the stone ones) blends in with the background and some background tiles looks like solid objects. Maybe next time try to distinguish them better! Anyway really love the idea and the game overall and the camera work is neat!

Nice platformer, the jumping and movement felt very good, I felt like I had good control of the little shroom guys. I would definitely like to have a checkpoint system though! I died on something so silly that it induced a little bit of rage in me lol. Great game though! Would love some more sound effects as well, but the ambiance of the levels is great!

Great use of the assets, and a super fun game. Controls feel great, and the level design is very clever. Well done!

Solid gameplay. Loved the idea of basically being walking bounce pads. Excellect visuals and music!

Cool idea. I liked that you could control two characters.
I think that it could've been nice to play with a friend!
Nice work, and beautiful art!

Developer

Thank you very much! i had thought about it i could play it with a friend, but it would be too broken, the levels would be too short

Nice game super cozy, the difficulty curve was a little too steep for me at first, and I didn't finish all but it fits with the theme super great and I loved this little world you made and the cute mushrooms are just a *chef kiss*

Nice game! I love games where you play as 2 characters, and this one is no exception. I think it got kind of difficult though, because the puzzles got hard to figure out later in the game alongside the precise platforming, and the game could also use checkpoints. Other than that though, great job!

very fun game with pretty cool art! the main mechanic is great and would make for an awesome coop game, the camera work is impressive and the level design and puzzle elements are well made! the lack of checkpoints make the last level a bit frustrating though

Absolutely loved this game! 5 stars across the board! The dual character mechanic is used well. And I love the way the camera zooms in and out as they move away from each other.

Somehow you managed to create a challenging and yet still cozy game.

Very well done!!

Beautiful artstyle and nice music! The movement was a bit janky, and the controls a bit unintuitive, but it was a nice game!

Developer

thanks for the feedbacks

Wow this is great!! Love the concept and the movement. Not to mention the chill music. We wish we would have more times for the tunes this time around but just want until our next jam. Cheers and very very rad game.
