The dialogue was cute, cozy game all around, everything felt fluffy, also educational :0

It was abit difficult using the E key while moving around, I also really liked that the start menu was interactive!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Glad you love this menu. I'll change eating button to space or X key later! Thanks for your feedback!

Police officer, I want to confess to a trying to eat Isabella. Nice game, art and music also great, storytelling is 10/10. Well done!

Haha, your comment made me laugh out loud. Thanks for playing! So glad you enjoy this story!

Cute little game :) I enjoyed it. Took me a few seconds of clicking the start button to understand I had to walk to it... But after that it was smooth sailing!
Developer

Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The start button of this game is indeed a bit confusing. I thought about writing instructions, but I think you can figure it out, haha. Thanks for playing!

The art style is super cozy! I was confused by the start screen at first I thought it was a button lol. I like the textures of the ground especially its very pretty! I think the eat button could have been space or a key further way so its easier to control hehe. I love the little fun facts hehe. I love the bug friendship!! Overall it was a lovely little experience reminiscent of a adorable children’s book. Very charming and sweet. Fantastic work!

Oh, thank you for playing! And thank you for your feedback! Your feedback is very useful to me. I'll replace the eating button to space so that it would be easier to control. The way to start this game was a little confusing. But I'm happy you all figured it out! I planned to make this game to be purely keyboard controlled, but I didn't get enough time to make animations for the restart button, so I left it as a button to click, haha. This made the restart button inconsistent with the start button. Sorry for causing some confusion. I'm glad you had fun!

This is a very strange game, but I liked it! The controls are pleasant and responsive, and the atmosphere is very nice and relaxing with the music.

Developer

Haha, it is a strange one.  I'm so glad you like it!

SO CUTE! I love the interactive storybook vibes, what a fun story. I do however feel it could be improved with visual ques indicating who's talking, such as a colored text frame or a picture of the bug that's speaking, but honestly maybe not, who knows? not me thats' for sure. This was great, I had fun, thank you for providing this experience .

I'm so glad you had fun. I was worried that storytelling game would not give players much fun to play. To be honest, you actually said what I want to do. I also felt it would be better to put the character's name or a picture in a separate bubble and stick it to the upper left corner of the dialogue box. I didn't have enough time to implement it, so l left it as is.  Your feedback, it actually supports my original idea!

Cute! The blend of story, simple mechanics and music was nicely balanced. There's a little bit later in the game where the floor "falls away" visually but the physics don't follow but aside from that it played smoothly :)

Developer

Oh, thanks for playing! It does look a little weird here, because my daughter also told me that it looked like they were flying. But My initial design was to make a transition from orange fallen leaves to pile of pine needles. Because woolly bear's shelter is made of pine needles, so it should be on a large pile of fallen pine needles. I should paint some ground between the two leaves.

Will you continue developing the game from here on? ^_

Developer(+1)

Absolutely! 3 day is too short! I'm not done yet.

labour of love for sure! mechanics are a bit rough around the edges but hey, 3 days.

Developer

Hey, thank you for playing this game. I also feel the mechanics are rough when I play this game myself. I didn't find an effective way to avoid jiggles around irregular shaped edges with a collider during jam time. I'll figure this out and fix it later!

This art style is very unique and has kind of a storybook feeling, I liked it a lot. The writing is really good, I feel liked I learned something and I laughed at a couple of parts. The eating mechanic felt a little confusing at times, sometimes I felt like I was eating a bug but it wouldn’t go away, but I feel like the gameplay isn’t really the point of a game like this, so it didn’t take away too much. Really great work on this overall. I hope your friend is okay.

Thanks for playing this game. My musician friend and I started this project late, so we tried to keep it simple this time. I decided to focus on finishing the story line, so the gameplay needs more polishing. Sorry for torturing you with this gameplay experience, haha. Thanks for your nice words. Hope my Ukrainian friend can be safe.
