A very wonderful idle game. The art was brillantly done and helped sell the cozy relaxed vibe. The whole team did a really good job.

Developer(+1)

Thank you :)
We are also quite happy with the look and feel overall

i love the vibes, graphics, and music. great game. if i have more time I'll definitely come back to this :)

Developer

Nice!
It really starts to get rolling after five minutes or so :D

I love an idle game and your is really cool. It fits the theme perfectly and the concept of a chill idle game is interesting. I agree with others in the matter that the game is slow at the start, I wish I was iteracting more from the start, but I also get that balancing in the jams can be tricky. I also didn´t understand what items in the shop do... like buying coffee or lemon cakes.

Great game!

Developer(+1)

Yeah the balancing was (as always) kinda a last minute struggle ^^ so yeah after around five minutes and a few of these mysterious shop upgrades it really starts to get crazy.

My favourite thing is update speed & capacity and get a few of the shop upgrades and you'll make millions soon.

Had another coffee break and got it to run this time!

Firstly, super cozy. Loved the looks, UI was simple but not out of place. Like the person below me mentioned, the start was slow, maybe because I also upgraded capacity first without realising what it was >>

But after getting another coffee cove it started picking up it was pleasant chilling to the music and expanding. The map drag was initially a little confusing but I got it seeing how far the map spanned. Cove pop ups  had animations that was a nice touch but it did seem a little finicky, it got blocked by the cove on the map. And the click through thing the person below mentioned.

The thing I was most distraught about was that it didn't seem to play in the background, I planned on upgrading the capacity and coming back to it but I realised that the game paused when not active. I assume this might be a webgl bug and there wasn't really time to test that of all things!

Overall Sounds and music were great!  Vibe was cozy! Coffee Company is rich! Had a good coffee break!

Developer

Haha amazing how cool is that! Thank you for the feedback :)

The "not idel" WebGL behaviour was also just discovered by us after submitting which is a shame. On the other hand if you play for a while things start to get so crazy that you don't have time to sip on your coffee while managing the Cozy Coffee Company anyways.

There are some small issues here and there that might or might not be sorted out in the future (that is if we don't start developing Cozy Coffe MMORPG until then).
Thanks again for coming back and playing :D

A bit slow at the start, but when you get the ball rolling, it rolls for sure

A bit annoying was that when there is a cafe location behind the update panel, you click through the update panel, minimizing it and opening the panel for the other location. Which made upgrade-spamming a bit of a slog - then again: 3 days :D

Good Job!

Developer

Its the classic game-jam-game - the click through UI is a bummer but a good Cozy Coffee Company CEO, like you, can handle that minor inconvenience I see.

Thanks for playing and your feedback!

And keep up the crazy good work with your game! Still my jam-favourite :D

I think this is the most cozy game I have seen no the jam so far! absolutely nailed the theme.

I don't really have the patience for tycoon / cookie clicker style games so I did not get far, but I can absolutely see people who are into that play it through and having a blast.

Developer(+2)

Heyhoo. That is such a huge compliment thanks !!
Very fair on the patience part xd That's what I love about gaming: we can create so vastly different experiences to suit what everyone likes and doesn't like to play ^^
Feels very nice that you had such positive things to say even though you are not into the game!
Thanks for playing and leaving a comment.

This is a really beautiful game with a really nice overall aesthetic. You guys captured the cozy vibe perfectly. I believe I maxed out the game; it’s hard to tell because there seems to be a bug preventing you from scrolling through the town menu. I was surprised to find there isn’t any kind of endgame message, but I bought every location and believe I got all upgrades (all locations at level 21, and all the menu upgrades at 5).

My biggest feedback would be with the UX issues; you can interact with things behind the UI element you’re trying to interact with, which can lead to menus closing prematurely and the camera scrolling around when you don’t want it to. I’m sure with more time, that would have been addressed though. Really great job on this!

Hi Nathan! Huuuge thanks for the huge feedback :) I'm also soo happy with how are Artists (@balduin and @kurti) made the world so lovely in such little time. Sounds indeed like you are probably the first person ever to max out game. ( Imagine this is your completion achievement right here ^^ )

I'll have to 100% have to agree with you on the UX part - it's really frustrating to get the wrong interaction on clicking.

Thanks for playing <3

Cool, an interesting genre, if I'm not mistaken the strategy, and the graphics are cool, I just think the beginning is long, overall cool!
Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and leaving a comment <3 ! Very glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback on the pacing ( quite frankly we didn't really get around to balancing so I totally agree lol )

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback! You are not mistaken, the strategy and graphics are, in fact, good.

I loaded the page, clicked on run game. Loading bar, thought it would be great if I waited by taking a cup of coffee for the Cozy Coffee Company.

Great Coffee, loading bar never went past about 80% unfortunately. I'll try it out again on my next coffee break, screenshots look fun c:

Developer(+1)

Oh damn, I am sorry about that. We never had this problem in testing. But I guess that is a known WebGL hinderance ...

We recommend playing in Chrome since we had the least amounts of issues with that browser but yeah... I hope you'll have another coffee break soon and that the game loads properly next time.

I've heard coffee is addictive, if it's half as addictive as this game I'm glad I've steered clear all these years.
But seriously, great concept, great game, I want more; my clicking finger does hurt a bit though.

Developer(+1)

Haha that is one of the best replies I have ever gotten on a game :D

And yeah stay away from coffee if you havent started yet - that stuff IS addictive.

If you dont want to stay away from Cozy Coffee though, you might want to check out Cozy Coffee Cove - the game we did last year that kinda inspired this one here ^^

It is very broken but cozy and cute.

Thanks for playing and commenting.
